What is the point of this thread? Do we not have an official slim bean thread already?

I don't know?

As the title says this is for the d2usc. It's posted in the Verizon thread as is other US Cellular roms because the US Cellular variant does not have a separate thread.
Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2

It might be a good idea to get this thread out of here since it is not even for Verizon.

Yeah, no problem. I like to help the people that struggle to follow directions . people may get confused. And if you are going to use the "well they should read excuse" then you would be hypocritical considering the placement of this thread. You're welcome BTW.

There isn't one Bro, xda doesn't play nice like that, you just have to share with the Verizon one, like the others do.
You're just getting the special xda welcome that all other forums talk about. Thanks for sharing this Rom here with us, it's a pleasure to have you expanding your work so other forums can see it too.
Keep it up

nice rom

OP Updated to build 7.1, also make sure you download the latest gapps and or addons.

Fist BUMP!
Status Update...
Just want to let everyone know that 4.3 IS currently being worked on, we have it booted and running on Nexus devices, so the rest will follow suit shortly :good:

That file says update...is that the file to flash if I'm coming from stock, deoxed, rooted? Or s there a base file that I need to flash first. Also is a full wipe required, or just a cache and dakvik wipe is fine. Thanks in advanced.

Biggest feature is new settings layout that we think you guys will enjoy... It removes duplicate features, looks nicer and best of all, works great! Enjoy!!

My N7 (grouper) doesn't boot first time with SlimBean (+6.0).
Try to wiping dalvik cache. It helps booting the first time.
After that, watch out for boot loops if you disable the lock screen.
4.3 alpha (and another surprise) will come today :highfive:

Relax! It's not easy I'm sure. In fact, so far only PA had merged 4.3, and not without issues. I'm using the latest 3.94 from John over at RW on my Note 2 LTE, a few remaining issues like screenshot, screen flicker on some apps and camera (works sometimes), but its nothing that is dead critical that 3rd party apps cannot resolve. We have unofficial PA over here but it's not merged with 4.3 yet, unfortunately.
Whatever we have now for Nexus 7 3G, AOSP builds with a bit of customisations, so I'm eagerly waiting for them. So if OP needs more time, we wait.
It's not necessary to close the thread, just need to update the subject. OP has my support, and I'm looking forward to his build. I had tested his 7.8 beta on 4.22, and that was a good build, and my first time using Slim builds, not too many features, just about right. Cheers!

I appreciate feedback on how everything is running. Please do not just post, "$%#@ is broken" or "This does not work." Please tell me what you have tried to resolve the issue and provide a logcat or last_kmsg, so I can try to fix it.

Thanks for bringing Slim to us, So, I am not sure how to report this without simple saying $%#@ is missing I dont have the option to set menu as a key. When setting up NavBar, I prefer to have long press as menu, but it is not there as a choice. Its also not an option for a key at all, as far as I can tell? Anyone else? Or maybe I just had a bad flash.

It is not an option in Slimbean. It was removed a few builds ago. They decided to take AOSP approach to menu key.
Lovin how the development is growing and growing. Thank you for slim

Quick, very noob question. Using TWRP, I get the option to wipe cahce and dalvik cache. Which one do I wipe? This ROM looks sick.

You have a serious problem, man. You gotta get that shiz in check. I'm all seriousness, well done, it's great to see another ROM brought to our device by yourself.
Is it safe to assume this requires the modified TWRP by @jrior001?

Not too sure actually. I tried mahdi but it failed to flash, and I also tried vanir but the gapps is force crashing on startup. Anything you would like to see?

To be honest I think all my favourites are already here or on the way. But in saying that, I'll try pretty much anything.
