Porting miui ics 3.2.22, Need help with logcat. - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I have been trying port MIUI ics (latest version ) I know MIUI has only JB builds. I have taken SGII build as a port for a reason. As it is a armv7 device and our p500 is armv6 device, it is bit difficult but possible! So I have cm 9.2.1 plus as a base but the thing after flashing i get a black screen! So, devs around here, can you guys help me!
here's the logcat http://pastebin.com/7n8LrDCi
The first line says there is problem with busybox run-parts but I'm stuck in a bootloop netd

[Port] [ICS] [Camera Developement] Custom Kernel-2.6.35.14 [Huawei Honor] [Updated]

So guys here we go.
At the moment Oisis and me are working on porting the Kernel of Huawei Honor, which got a official ICS update with working camera Because the Two devices have nearly the same hardware we can use many things of the kernel, but its very difficult to port. But i think its possible.
It is not so easy, kernel is not enough, there is a lot of libs in system that needs changes example HAL. If you will change drivers in kernel that can not help to camera to much, but we can try, because more in the kernel has to be changed. But it is possible.
But please be patient that it will take a while till we finish. and we dont give guarantee that ALL will work CORRECTLY then.
But for you guys, to see the status of developement and we are not bluffing ^^
Here you see the drivers which we'll use in new kernel.
https://github.com/dzo/kernel_huawei
****Update Status****
Will be new in kernel:
- Changing drivers for radio (maybe will work then) -> https://github.com/dzo/kernel_huawei/tree/master/drivers/media/radio
- Changing wifi drivers for better wifi thetering performance https://github.com/dzo/kernel_huawei/tree/master/drivers/net/wireless/bcm4329
- Changing Audio/Video drivers for ICS Camera -> https://github.com/dzo/kernel_huawei/tree/master/drivers/video
https://github.com/dzo/kernel_huawei/tree/master/arch/arm/mach-msm/include/mach/qdsp5v2
- And other little things will be changed (better battery usage -> new drivers/ better performance ... )
- Will change GPU drivers too -> https://github.com/dzo/kernel_huawei/tree/master/drivers/gpu/msm_adreno205
***02.07.2012***
- Using Oisis kernel as base and am now going start porting. :cyclops:
- Updated links (thanks to oisis)
- Uploaded zimage!! -> Zimage download not more avaible, because of problems with currently Oisis kernel! Dont flash it in the Oisis kernel!!
***UPDATE***
First Custom Kernel Release:
- Download the kernel and place it in your Internel or externel SD card
- Boot into recovery
- Wipe Cache/Dalvik
- Flash Kernel and enjoy my kernel
(Kernel is based on Oisis kernel)
What is new?
Camera is still not working, i have just changed some values in Libs and HAl.
....
version
Which will be the target version for this track ?
3.0.8 or 2.6.x or something total different ?
Target will be Custom Kernel-2.6.35.14
I really hope that you could solve this problem... I love so much ICS but the issues with the camera stopped me to flash this rom...good work and above all good luck...
I love you guys!!! (no homo )
why you need two topics?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742976
and why we only see links, no results?
for some links you can just use the camera thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1651530
so we have 3 topics for one goal (working ics camera)
dont know whats worng with you guys.

sorry, just my two cents. and enough off topic.

Developing that kernel is not that easy you think and it will take a while.

Porting ROMs are one of my future works buddy. After MaZel II, I will try porting a ICS ROM of S2 to ours and if i succeed, will make a guide specific to SGR.
One Important condition in porting is that both the devices should be in same android version. And both device should be of same CPU (for us its ARMv7)

We can not port JB ROM of SII to our ROM untill we get JB ROM for our Galaxy R, Porting is possible only if you have same Android version on both the devices (Eg; CM10 to CM10, Stock to Stock....).....

You should be aware that our device lacks an important feature, the NEON instruction set, so you cannot simply replace native binaries and libraries (such as libandroid_runtime.so which is sometimes crucial for ports).

If we have CM 9/10 then we can port AKOP, Paranandroid etc.....
Check the link which i have posted in previous page....
I know, CPU, GPU, Mainboard and Android Firmware version must be exactly the same and match. Example : LG Optimus 2X or Motorola ATRIX. But S2 and S3 as the hardware is very very different our Galaxy R. For this reason, it's hard to develop/port the firmware.
:good:

From the link:
I will be referring to the following:
BASE = The GB/ICS/JB ROM made for your Device only.
PORTED = The ROM you are trying to port from.
BASE and PORTED must be the same CPU. e.g. ARMv7, ARMv6, ARMv5
You must have the same settings in Notepad++ like mine.
Ignore the procedure, if the file or folder is not present!
BASE & PORTED should be the same Android version.
If you are porting a custom GB ROM, then use a GB BASE, the same goes for ICS and JB
Make sure both BASE & PORTED are deodexed (It's hard to port an odexed ROM)
Final ROM is inside PORTED Folder
(Don't get confused! This is a Major change from the previous Guide because this method is a lot faster and easier)
in this link It says Base & ported should have the same android version. it says ICS/JB should have compiled earlier . So we must look on how to compile ICS for our device..:fingers-crossed:

[project] [rom] First jelly bean custom rom for Samsung galaxy ace plus GT-S7500

This is project started to discuss about first jelly bean rom for Samsung galaxy ace plus gt-s7500..
As it is confirmed that galaxy ace plus will be getting jelly bean 4.1 upgrade...
This project will be started as soon as jelly bean upgrade is officially released for galaxy ace plus...
I started this thread so early to discuss about how users want that rom to be... So that I can start preparing for it from now and learn if I don't know about something...
So please everyone post your suggestions...
Also i was thinking to make a team or something for this project...
So if anyone knows any development things and wants to be part of the team then please comment below...
Even i am not a good developer so it doesn't need you to be really a great developer... All I need is that person has basic knowledge like modifying rom, editing apk files and other things too...
I don't have Linux system and don't have any experience in kernel development so we need a Kernel developer too...
If anyone wants cynogenmod and has Ubuntu than try this tool by lithid-cm called CyanogenMod Compiler

I love you bro.
1st.
If that's the case, first you should change the stock apps. (There's a list of stock apps that can be deleted without hurting your phone.
2nd.
You should add many scripts that can boost our phone to maximum speed. Like on your ROM (Ofcourse it needs init.d support).
3rd.
While learning about modding, try to learn how to port CM10. Since we'll be having Jelly Bean, there will be alot of Devs that know how to port it. Try asking them. (We also have Blackburner)
These are all suggestions, just tell me if you don't like it, I'll continue to add suggestions.
I personally like the GO Keyboard, GO Launcher, GO Locker, Quickpic (Gallery), and Handcent SMS (Messaging). (Many more though)
Sent from my GT-S7500
I love you too... LOL
Init.d support is must... About porting that I am currently learning even thou I don't have my computer...
And I was thinking of adding aroma installer so that everyone can choose between stock apps and other apps...
I can't do all alone and it seems that no one here is willing to participate...

The only thing I can do for the time being is gather all developers for Ace Plus.
thanks for the support
i myself tried to modify some roms with disastrous results as i pretty much was not sure of anything myself
i decided it was better to leave these type of things to experienced developers
thank you for continued support for our phones
things i would like in a custom rom for jelly bean
1 touchwiz 5.0 if you can
2 some speed enhancement tweaks
thank you :good:

Can the DSIXDA kitchen be used on those jelly bean roms to add some tweaks? Also, once we have the JB, it will be one thousand times easier to port Cyanogen 10 using, maybe, the galaxy nexus sources.
Enviado do meu ace plus usando atomic rom com Tapatalk 2 e SwiftKey keyboard U.U
ETA - estimated or expected time of arrival:good:
Maybe kitchen supports jb... As it supports our device in gb... Let's leave cm development to experts because I have no idea how to do that...
If anyone wants to try then search for a guide... I am sure I saw one somewhere...
All guides are for Linux system so if you anyone have Linux system i.e. Ubuntu try a tool by lithid-cm called CyanogenMod Compiler or CMC.

great rom!
Thank you so much for this porting, I just installed and works way better than stock jelly bean. I can't find someone talking about a couple of issues I found, one with games, I use only fruit ninja but it lags really much, expecially when touching the screen, and one with videos, with default video player and with vlc I can't see any video, but I can hear audio with no problems (youtube works like a charm). Probabily there's something related between the two issues, but I'm no developer so I can't tell it
Cheers!

By latest you mean 31/08 build? If yes, then I think you're gonna have to change the kernel (boot.img) because it caused some problems as stated by diego. Replace the boot.img with the one from 30/08 build.

Nope,I used 30/8 build and didn't successful. So I used Carbon rom as base and replace boot.img and some lib files for OMX issues from 30/8 build. LG SU 760 Android 4.4 kitkat CM11

Can someone port Kitkat to O3D devices
because i saw nexus S has it already :crying:
U can give it a try?
Sent from my 3D phone.
You guys can use the p760 files and modify it according to your old cm builds. E.g. change the kernel defconfig and some ROM features (like partition size and stuff). I think it can be done with quite ease. Just go ahead and check mateo1111's repos. But I guess you guys are about as screwed as we are... OMAP simply lacks support for KitKat and without a working and updated 3.4 kernel, as the Galaxy Nexus devs try to build, you ll never have a really stable and acceptable stable ROM...
But hey, why not try it anyway? All you need is Ubuntu, a bit of time, the skill to read and a whoooooole lot of patience
