Actually before installing they have to wipe the cache, the dalvik cache, user data and the systen partitions to avoid complications and bootloops.

Put the zip file on your sdcard.
reboot the phone and before Sony logo apear you shold pres volume button down, that how you enter the CWM.
When you enter the CWM, you can go up and down by pressing volume buttons (+,-), go to "instal zip from sdcard", press power button to select, now you have "choose zip from sdcard", go to the zip file (by pressing + and -) press power button, now you have to confirm so press yes.
now go to *****go back*** and again, and last press reboot system now, and thats all.

Why do you keep giving false information? In the install instructions to the thing he is trying to flash it says to wipe multiple things, meaning that he HAS to wipe them or else it will not work.
Also OP, it is staying at the Sony logo because you are not following the install instructions to the thing you want to flash.

Each zip has a different install process, what one zip needs doing before the install another may not. The only way you should install a zip file is by following the instructions given by the original poster of the file. If you don't it will cause bootloops and boot hangs. If the OP didn't follow the first few steps of the file he wants to flash he will have to flash stock ROM to fix his problem of boot hanging.

Depends on format of patch. If its a cab, copy it on to your device and then click on it using your file explorer
If its a .exe you'll need to connect your device to your pc using usb cable and run it from your pc
A Little Help Please?

Hey ppl
i followed these steps : " From this Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/guide-to-running-android-lollipop-t3041413 "
1. Download the latest version of CM12 or any other lollipop rom along with the Gapps package. I recommend that you use this (use 5.0x for CM12). Download Thunderzap 4.1 as well. (Don't ask why, but make sure you have this in your computer.) Place the ROM and gapps zip files in your SD card or internal storage.
2. The best way to install any custom ROM is to flash them coming from a stock rom. (Skip this step if you're already on stock 1.17) So if you're not on stock, go ahead and grab an FTF from my thread. (Latest version 1.17 - recommended) Flash the stock rom. If you don't know how to do that use this guide as a reference. Do NOT exclude anything.
3. Now you need to flash a custom kernel. To do this, locate and extract the thunderzap 4.1.zip you downloaded earlier on your computer. Then pull out (or copy it somewhere else) the bootjbcwm.img file. You'll need to flash this file via fastboot. If you know how to do that, skip the next step and proceed to step 5.
4. Power off your phone. Open flashtool and select the flash icon. Now hold the volume up button and plug in your Xperia L to your computer via USB. Select fastboot mode. Under "By DoomLoRD", select the option, "select kernel to flash". Now right above the open button you should see an arrow where it says *.sin. Select that and choose *.img. Locate the bootjbcwm.img file and select it. In a matter of seconds the kernel should be successfully flashed. Now turn on your phone, and hold the volume up button when the LED lights up. You have now entered CWM recovery.
but at the end i tried " holding the volume up button " and it gives me light but it doesn't open CWM recovery, then mobile open normally, any help plz
Thnx.
Solved, Thnx anyway ^^

To solve the SuperSu Binary update problem, follow these steps
1. Download the SuperSu zip file from HERE
2. Place the zip file on your SD or internal memory
3. Reboot into recovery mode by pressing Volume up + Power button, or if it doesn't work, you can search on Google on how to enter recovery mode for your device
4. After entering recovery mode, press volume down button to go down, press volume up to go up, and press power button to select.
5. Select "Install Zip", and select the Update-SuperSu.zip file, and it will install it.
6. After installing, reboot and SuperSU will be installed and it won't ask for binary update.
Please hit the :good: button if you found this helpful
Also you can ask me if this method didn't work, I'll help you
