[NOOB] MMS Issue with ViperS ROM

sorry, I have a noob question about MMS Issue I am facing with ViperS 1.1.0 ROM. Excellent ROM, high speed and quality; I bye-ed ARHD for it
However, I am unable to receive or send MMS. I have baseband 11.76A.3504.00P_11.2A.3504.31_M, RIL 4.0.0037HMQ.
I search the entire thread and cannot find an answer. I even tried flashing RIL 4.0.0036HMQ and RIL 4.0.0035HMQ but no luck
Please help me out on this. I really need MMS as it is my everyday use

Have you tried the APN settings and all that good stuff? If not I'd try a re-flash. It works for me.

Yeah, I have all APN settings. I have the internet working fine, only MMS
I have tried reflashing this ROM with full wipe three times and no luck

are you on wifi when trying to send the messages? I hardly ever send MMS, but when I do I always had trouble on wifi sending them so I just use my data connection

I just tried downloading an MMS with wifi off but still, not working

I use viper and can confirm that mms does work as I use it often. Since you have checked your settings and all seems fine I would try to do a FRESH download of the Rom (not using the first older download) then wipe again full wipe data factory reset, and flash the NEW download. Perhaps something has gotten corrupted in the first download as its possible.... Then check mms after using a completely new download and complete wipe. Hopefully this will solve the issue. If not I suggest posting this on the developers web site and see if anyone had the same issue. They might know of a simple fix on the developers site. I'd give the fresh download a try first. If no joy, then I would ask on the developers site. I really hope this helps. I use viper as my daily Rom and have not had this issue. When you do your new flash make sure and wipe completely. I know you have tried to reflash however you were using the same old download this is why its important to re download the Rom incase the first is corrupted some how. Best wishes and I do hope this solves your issue.

thank you for your kind reply. May I ask you a noob question? I always choose full wipe within AROMA installer, is it right? or do I have yo manually wipe it in Recovery? If I am to wipe in recovery, which are the steps? I used ViperS as my daily ROM too; had no problems with the 1.0 release.

I always manually wipe all my partitions (except SD) before installing every rom, just to be on the safe side. hit wipe/format in recovery menu, then hit format all except SD and you should be good to go

Hi, I dont have your problem, but I did this way.
1. Androids backup
2. Wipe cache + dalvik in recovery
3. Enable smartflah (I use 4ext recovery and by phone is not s-off)
4. Run the aroma installer and perform full wipe
And done. The fist time it's slow but after reboot work great.

Thanks everyone, I have tried everything you told me, from downloading a fresh ROM, wipe everything except SD card and then re flash the ROM, but the trouble stands strong. I have no idea how to solve it now... so depressing...

WiFi not working (Solved)

After I flash Krillosv2 rom my WiFi stopped working. It actually finds WiFi and when I press connect, wifi disconnects, again and again. Also wifi icon didnt appeasr in status bar. Cant find any solution. Pls help someone.
My stock rom was XXLI2 and antsm CWM build kernel, then I flashed Kryllosv2. after I noticed wifi didnt works i try to wipe/reset. still no solution.
then i decide to flash twrp hd kernel and flashed Kryllosv2 again, but same problem is still existing.
ps: I try to post it in Krylllos Rom thread but because of low message count i cant post in development threads. Sorry my bad English.

Everything works for me, do you wipe all the cache, dalvik cache before you flash?

yes. I did. I can actually flash stock rom and re do whole thing again but because of low speed of internet and high costs I cant download stock rom. So for now i have to solve it without going to stock firmware.

Try to download twrp by hd kernel install and try to flash the rom again with twrp..

Yes I did it already. flashed hd twrp kernel and wipe/reset.. flashed rom again but it is same. WiFi keeps disconnecting.

SOLVED!
Re flashed with twrp HD kernel again and wipe/reset.. then flashed Kryllosv2 rom with twrp and wipre/factory reset.
Now all working fine.

[Q] screen flickering

i have a jaiyu g3
model jy-g3
android version 4.1.2
kernel 3.4.0
build number g3 20130116-221844
i have a problem with the screen flickering, it can start after 1 minute or 10 minutes after coming out of sleep,it can be on any screen.
i did see the same problem on a you tube post,he went into running apps and closed video looper and his phone stopped flickering.
(i cant post any links as im under 10 posts)but the tittle has this, you may be able to find it if you would like to spare the time.

that all looks really technical to me,
i dont know how to wipe the cache or wipe the dalvik(i have never heard of a dalvik)
i dont know how to flash a rom or kernel either,
this is how the phone came to me new and presume it is a legit stock android rom or do you think it has been rooted and rom`d with an aftermarket one.
sorry if i dont make sense...going through a bit of a learning curve at the moment.....

Hi everyone,
I recently started to experience a problem with CM 10 on my Xperia miro. I am using the unofficial builds provided by the FreeXperiaTeam. During random times, when the phone is locked, it stops responding. I am not able to unlock the phone nor see anything on the screen. The buttons on the device also show no response. I am able to turn it back on only after I remove the battery, and put it back in. This issue occurs at least once everyday.
I would really appreciate it if somebody could provide me with a solution for this problem. I would prefer to not factory reset my device.

Anytime your running into issues like this on any Custom ROM the best practice is to start over, don't be lazy to save Data ..and Don't do a Factory Reset on a Custom ROM it never fairs well. You can as mentioned wipe dalvik and cache then fix permissions but if your still having issues the get away from that build or redownload it and do a full wipe and fresh install you will save yourself time and headaches. Things go wrong from time to time just start over and do a clean install

Plus, be choosy about what rom you are flashing. Better stay with official/stable releases if you want to avoid problems, and never do a dirty flash. It's better to be careful than lazy.

Galaxy Y Pro Duos- Installed Hathyon 1.1+CompactKernalV1.3 = Pattern Lock not working

I am not able to set screen Pattern lock for my device.
I m experiencing this problem after installing Hathyon ROM (v1.1) and Compact Kernel 1.3 .
When i enter my pattern for 1st time, it asks to re-enter it and then nothing happens.Still the lock screen is swipe to unlock type. Pls help me.

Try to go back to recovery mode, and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache (optional). But it will delete your data and installed app (on internal storage and sdext). I hope you have backup for it, coz that's the only way (I guess). Good luck..

It would be great if you tell me some way other than erasing my data(apps). :good:

I am sorry for this misunderstanding, I think it's just a bug of your current ROM. I think it's little hard to fix it up, but yeah there's always a way, you need to port it from your previous ROM. Well, if you don't wanna do it by yourself, just hope it will be fixed in next update of your ROM :fingers-crossed:

As you całl this a Bug in this ROM, Is someone else too been facing a similar problem in Hathyon ROM?? if yes pls link it here .
I would be really helpful if you tell me how to perform that port.
