hi, I wanted to ask if anyone has solved the problem of annoying echo that can hear the caller (not me). I use the cm10 as a second rom with the baseband prada acura, before I had tried it with the V30A baseband but nothing to do ... the only solution is to turn down the volume of the call but I do not think that is a solution final.
Does anyone know if there is a baseband or some other solution that solves the problem?

All cyanogenomod builds I used had the same problem.
im using cm10.1 and never hear echo. voice calling is just fine for me.

is a big problem ... which actually makes the rom incomplete ... I do not want people to feel an annoying echo ... has anyone tried the baseband v18a?

It's a huge problem. Can't use the phone as a PHONE. Is there any solution to this? It's only been 6 freakin months since the problem emerged on CM10.
I've every time fix it yet by flashing the baseband again.
And you need the right one: v30a, v28b, v18a are all good.
So just flash you current baseband again :laugh:

21e baseband is the only that is ghost call free. Dont bother about cables it work without that fix. Try with my guide then flash rom. Can give you more rom tips if you flash 21e baseband first.

I'd Like to begin by apologizing for making a post about something that may already have been addressed but I'm in a bit of a jam and I hope someone can help me as soon as possible. Yesterday my old phone died and I had to get a new one right away for some club/business meetings I have so i picked up a used g2x on craigslist (Stupid Mistake). The phone looked fine and I tested the speaker i didn't actually try to make a call (Stupid Mistake #2). So when I try to make a call the phone makes this weird "Ticking"(Only way i can describe it) sound and I can't make or receive a call the call connects but all i can hear is the weird ticking. It does this on both T Mobile and over Google voice. Video sound and music are fine through both the speaker and head phone jack. The phone was rooted running ICS 4.0.4 EaglesBlood ROM and is on CWM recovery. I'm new to this phone as my old phone was a Samsung vibrant so any help with this would be much appreciated as I assume there's no way to "Odin back to stock" for this phone and I'm hoping this isn't hardware related and that someone can help me out. I'd try to figure this out for myself but im hurrying to try to contact people through google voice so I'm on a bit of a time crunch. Thanks In advance for any assistance. It is much appreciated.

I tried that app it said my ril/baseband didnt match (v21e ril / M6600A-SCAUNTZ baseband) it changed my ril to LG-P999-V21y but that didn't solve the problem. Thanks for the help though

What ROM are you running and what baseband does it have?(give me the date, ex. July 2012, etc.)
But from what i can see with what you provided, you just have to flash the baseband fix by Owain, just search around in the development forum and you should find it. If not ill post a link.

There`s nothing strange about that in CM10 roms! They all have call problems, but sometimes they occur sooner sometimes later. Just reflash and maybe it won`t happen right away. Same thing on p920 and p990.

I am experiencing an issue with my device (GT I9505) after installing MIUI ROM two times. I used two different releases each time, the second one was the latest version of the ROM. I am using TWRP custom recovery for installation.
So, here it goes. I installed MIUI ROM on my device and I realized that my WLAN is not working. Whenever I try to turn it on, it only says "WLAN turning on..." and it doesn't change.
I went to MIUI official website and downloaded the LATEST (4.1.3) version of their software for my device and installed it again from scratch but the problem occurs again.
Do you have any idea what could I do to fix this problem?
PS: I am not sure if this is the right place to post this kind of question, but if I am wrong, please take my apologies.

I think u must flash stock WIFI modules for ur fon....
did you try to install the more latest one? 4.1.10 .

In the meantime, I did try, but unfortunately it didn't help. The problem is still the same.
did you try to use CWM Recovery?
try flashing some different kernel...hope this helps...

Yes, they are matching, I made sure they do. Baseband version XXUBMF4.

EDIT: I installed the kernel you told me, my WLAN works now. I'm very thankful!
Although I haven't experienced 4G network on MIUI theese days so far, I don't always have 4G signal but in my opinion I should have came across it so far. Any idea how to fix this issue?

I did it, you helped a lot.
BUT, a new problem occured. My phone keeps shutting down randomly 2/3 times a day with no reason, battery full. That did not happen before I installed that kernel. Any idea what might it be?
I dont think its a kernel problem.....but u can try flashing rom and kernel again after clearing cache,dalvik cache ,data....hope this helps...
how about copy all fiiles in your firmware folder from stock rom and replace firmware folder in miui rom... system/etc/firmware

I keep checking KitKat ROMs for months, but I always had the echo bug which means during a GSM call the other parties hear the echo of their voice which is a major inconvenience for me. I installed CM11, LiquidSmooth, MoKee, but they are all the same. Using a bluetooth headset is a workaround, but I can't use a headset all the time.
I read the forums and other people have this issue, too. How do you deal with it?
Do you know a way to get rid of it? Editing a config file for decreasing mic sensivity or get the echo cancellation working? Please share your experiences with me. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. I'll definitely check Lollipop based ROMs out when it reaches a more matured state. I need my phone is as stable as possible . It's important for me that not to meet any issues when making or receiving a call, so I'll just wait for the time being.

I used Cm12 lollipop version, i faced same problem as in kitkat.
Some people do not have this problem. What is the reason ? i read from the internet that echo problem depends on the country. When the guy move an another country the problem is no longer exists. do you think is it the true reason ?
I don't think so. Other guy in my country do not have echo problem with his Xperia L.
Also, I checked it with DE and CE 1.14, 1.17 stock firmwares as starting point, all the same.

unfortunetaly not, i will be very glad if you check it with another gsm provider.
I tried to choose another network manually, but I couldn't. Guess I need to borrow a SIM card and install the ROM. Well, it won't happen today I'm afraid.
