-----------
Cron
-----------
If you have ever used Tasker then cron will feel very similar to you. Cron is a Unix time-based job scheduler that is used to carry out various tasks defined by the developer. In the case of this ROM, cron is used to drop and clean the cache every day meaning your device will stay fast forever and you will most likely never have to manually flush your phone again. A manual flush = reboot, cache wipe, etc.
By dropping the cache the system will wipe the pagecache, dentries, and inodes (file system data structure) - freeing up memory in the device. If that wasn't enough, the cache will be cleaned, deleting everything from the /cache partition.
Of course, cron is not limited to dropping and cleaning caches. It can be used to create scheduled backups of certain files and/or data. It's just that those features have not been implemented.

Sharing Policy
Please do not use anything in this ROM without the express and written permission from an nV developer. We have worked tirelessly to bring you a highly customizable ROM and would hate to see our work being used elsewhere without being granted the proper permission to do so. Violators of this request will be dealt with by the moderation team from the respective website in which the content was provided.
Q: What is the SVN checkout URL?
A:
Code:
https://axis-one.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
Q: Does ART work?
A: No. Not at the moment.
Q: When is the next release coming?
A: There are going to be no announcements of scheduled release dates for this ROM.
Q: Are there going to be nightlies?
A: There will be updates via SVN, but I cannot guarantee new changes will be made every day.
Q: Any plans to make an Odexed version?
A: You can choose to odex the ROM via AxisTweaks. I will not guarantee that the odexing process will succeed however.
Q: I'm thinking of making a snide comment.
A: Don't. If you have an issue with something solve it via PM. Snide comments do not include "dumb questions." I welcome everyone to ask any questions they have, but please try not to post a duplicate question. I may snap if I see it over and over on every page. However, I do not know everything so if I ignore your question, don't take it personal. I just either don't know the answer or am too busy to answer. This is a community and we're all here to learn so help each other out.
Q: My benchmark scores are lower than when I used _________.
A: That's nice, but it doesn't mean much. As long as the speed of the phone is to your satisfaction everything is working as it should. Benchmark scores are used to show off if anything. Now you may be asking, "Why don't benchmark scores mean anything?" Well it's because there are so many factors that can alter a benchmark score that it makes them unreliable as a performance indicator.
Q: What benchmark app do you recommend?
A: If I had to choose, Vellamo Mobile Benchmark
Q: Why are there so many images in this thread?
A: I got bored on Photoshop.
Q: How can I help with this ROM?
A: Rating the thread 5 stars helps a lot. I don't really need testers, but would prefer to have someone in addition to myself try to port some mods over to the ROM. For example, if someone in the thread wanted a launcher with different modifications, I wouldn't really have the time do it it all by myself. People who contribute apps, themes, etc will have their mod listed under "Downloads" and will have their name in the credits.
Q: I like the Performance governor because it makes my phone fast, but I heard it's bad to use it all the time. Should I choose a different one?
A: Most people think that the performance governor is a terrible choice to use because it constantly keeps the phone clocked to the highest frequency and quickly heats up the phone, which proves to be true to an extent. What they don't realize is that the performance governor allows the phone to quickly complete running tasks and reach an idle state. This is good news for your battery because it will sleep faster. Of course, you wouldn't want your phone to be sleeping at 1.5GHz so to counter this, create a "screen off" profile using SetCPU or any other performance tuning app and set it to Min: 380MHz / Max: 480MHz. Despite this setup, your phone may still run hot while the screen is on due to it running at the highest frequency which is not a good thing. This brings me to another topic. Is it good to underclock or set the minimum CPU frequency to the lowest possible value? Not always, no. If you set the frequency to the lowest possible value the phone will take longer to finish a task which will most likely lead to bad battery drain. In the end, there is no single best setup since everyone will tell you different things, but I personally use Ondemand at the stock frequencies with no profiles. If the Smartassv2 governor is available, I use that instead of Ondemand.
Q: Help! Something went wrong!
A: Please post your issue in the thread and it will be addressed at the developers' convenience.
Q: How can I stay up to date?
A: You can follow me on Twitter

Yeah, the Ext4 tweaks do work... I've been using them for a while now with the correct setup in the updater script.

I just reflashed the ROM and it booted fine. The booting issue you guys may be experiencing could be due to choosing a specific carrier, but my tester reported that it works on AT&T at least. Just for sanity's sake, I chose the International Model in the Aroma Installer.

Installed ATT - wouldn't boot either. Wiped everything. When it wouldn't boot I downloaded again.. ADB to phone, and installed again still no boot. Tried wipe cache/dalvik and still will not boot. Just throwing my information out there.

Bugs
I am not aware of any bugs at the moment. Please report any you may find!
Compatibility (TMO users read this!)
Whether you are using the T-Mobile or international version, this ROM should work universally across all Sensations. The new 2.3.4 radios are identical between TMO US and EU versions, along with the RIL files.
T-Mobile users may want WiFi calling and it is available through Bloater or an addon flashable. That's all you need. The phone works flawlessly.
RAM
I've seen lots of users complain about how little RAM some ROMs have. RAM does not mean speed. It does not determine how fast a ROM is. It simply means how many apps you can have open at once without Android having to close another one. Have you ever filled up the amount of RAM your device allows?
Android is built to use RAM efficiently. Let it handle it. Don't worry about RAM. This ROM has about 190mb free running the Sense launcher out of the box. The more apps you have installed the less that number becomes over time. Don't pay so much attention to it and just enjoy your phone.

Sony Bravia Image Enhancement Engine
For those that wish, this is a flashable update to install and enable Sony Bravia Image engine. It has some MINOR improvements when displaying pictures and video via sharpening, smoothing, and some other small image enhancers (NO screenshot cant capture the effect, its effects the display).
AGAIN: All very minor, but if you wish.....have found no side effects.
Tested all of them to make sure they flashed, no error

Do you have wifi calling working on TMOB UK ?
Thanks Romanbb its really great you have come back to do this. I tried updating my other halfs phone to 2.2.1 and got a demand to return it back.
Will there be an update to 2.2 to add super and ultra smooth rosie? Thats my rom of choice. I do appreciate you are busy and may not have time to do it.

plz roman can you answear my question i asked?
iknow your sense 3.5 rom was best ever but thers many update to do would you do it or not anymore with sense 3.5?
I don't really post to often, and I've been an xda member for years, but with all these customizable things on your Rom its looking good. I actually think I'm going to switch from my other Rom p3d ( or something like that ) to this. Good work on this, and I assume it does have full dual core support right?

Please Support Liquid by Donating HERE
The biggest change with this build is that it is compatible with every single variant of the Galaxy S4 (AT&T, TMo, Sprint, Verizon, etc.)[/B]. The way it does this is by executing a script during flash that identifies your bootloader and loki-patches the boot.img (kernel) if you are on one of the locked bootloader variants (AT&T or Verizon) and, for all others, leaves the kernel alone. It also adds any overlays for your device variant (APN's, etc.). Pretty freaking cool. :good:
So SGS4 users (except for i9500, sorry): come one, come all, and flash this Liquidy goodness without worrying about a status 7 error or the dreaded yellow unauthorized triangle.
To re-iterate, YES you read that correctly...it doesn't matter what variant of the S4 you have, you can flash the zip above without using a custom kernel or updater-script edits. :good:
Code:
Q - Can I flash this on my (jfltexx/jflteatt/jfltevzw/jfltespr/jfltecan/jfltetmo/jflteusc/jflteworldcom/jflte10-10-220)?
A - Yep. See post #2.
Q - Can i flash this on my i9500?
A - No, sorry.
Q - I'm having crazy issues with _____ after flashing the latest nightly. PS: I dirty-flashed.
A - See the wise words in my signature below.
Q - It wont flash with TWRP, how do i fix it
A - This is an issue with LiquidSmooth. To flash with twrp, follow this method:*
1. Factory reset*
2. Reboot to recovery
3. Flash*
-OR-
A - Update your recovery to the most recent TWRP.
Downloading. Thanks!

Glad to hear...data/Mms were working on my phone (ATT), so I was hoping it would be for the other variants as well but I had no way of knowing.
I have never been a big fan of liquid before, but this seems promising. to be honest the whole eliminating the need to have separate variant roms built for each variant is really ingenious! that is the whole reason I am flashing this on my canadian variant, and yes it did boot. I am definitely going to give this a legitimate shot.

Thanks bud. Hey, I just noticed that the setting in developer options aren't sticking. I changed the animation settings to .25 plus root access, but when you go out, and come back in, the settings aren't there, the settings circle is blank.

Change those in Settings > Interface > Animation Controls.
And the root access thing is arbitrary, it doesn't do anything.
Hi looks very nice but i am missing other languages. I can choose just english.
The phone issue is still there. Just tried several attempts and get the same results, can't hang up when person doesn't answer or checking voicemail. Phone doesn't ring when someone calls. All from a clean install!!
Great Rom and has all the features I'm looking for just need a working phone!
Definitely gonna try this have used Liquid roms for awhile now and they always perform great.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
The back button and list button (the two buttons to the left and right of the hard home button at the bottom) dont work. I cannot go back a screen and have to press the home button to exit. Plus the android keyboard keeps force closing and just will not work. Other then that it works great. Only ROM so far that doesn't drop my network on screen close.
PS - why do I drop network when screen goes off on the other ROMS 0_0... it;'s annoying and I haven't found any fixes or solutions for it.

About:
Welcome to Project Infinity!
This rom is the start of a port of my highly popular Tmobile ROM to all Galaxy S5 devices! This ROM is meant to be a "community rom". Its purpose is to showcase and include many different apps and functions that where created from the community. Thus I am always looking for contributions and will highly consider adding or integrated whatever is contributed.
As of right now, it is exactly the same as the latest version that is released on my T-mobile Thread . If proven to be wanted, I will begin to fork off this version and modify it to better suit specific devices. Please let me know of any changes that you would like to see or bugs that need to be addressed. It does include all the T-mobile features however wifi calling will still not function unless you are on a T-mobile network..

FAQ:
Do I have to update with every release?
No, I am trying to push new releases out with new mods and things that I am playing with every few days. Just keep up with the changelog to see if there is anything worth upgrading for. Some of the time i may just add new things to Aroma that wont matter to you.
Should I do a full wipe with every release?
Not neccessarily. If I make huge changes to the roms framework, I will post in the downloads section that a full wipe is mandatory. For the rest of the releases its up you. If you experience any issues though, please do a full wipe and a fresh install before posting in the forum.
Are the T-mobile features included?
Yes! This rom is based off the T-mobile officially released framework. All of the proprietary T-Mobile features have been left in and untouched. This includes Wifi Calling and Hi def voice.
Why am I having issues installing or running wallpaper or image type apps like 500 firepaper or muzei?
These apps rely on the Live Wallpaper in the rom. This is a user selectable option in the Aroma installer and may have been removed during installation. Just reflash the rom without wiping and select the Live Wallpaper option in the Samsung Apps section.
Why are some of the apps such as Wanam or YouTube Ad-Block not working?
These apps are actually Xposed mods and are compatible with the Xposed framework. In order for these apps to function, you must have also selected the Xposed framework on installation (or download if from here). Before you run the apps make sure to first open the Xposed installer and select install framework and then tap on the modules tab, select the modules and then reboot. After reboot the modules should be running perfectly. Side note: Some functions in the Wanam module are known to not work with Android 4.4. This is a known issue as the app had stopped development.
I get a persistent notification telling me to update the Security Policy but the update always fails.
Go to settings/security and click on Security Policy Updates. Then change the Preferred Networks to Wifi and mobile networks and then on check for updates. It should update properly then. You can also just disable Automatic Updates so it wont notify you anymore.
How do I enable or change custom widgets on the lockscreen?
On the lockscreen, just simply pull down on the clock to enable the full widget view. Then long press on the stock clock and drag it to the trash can to remove it. Once it is removed, it will be replaced by a + sign that you can click on to add any widget that you like. You can also add more widgets by swiping left or right at the top of the page (where the widget is).

Yea, it should work on 900F, 900i, 900T, 900w8, 900M and maybe more. Please let me know what devices that it is verified working on. Some devices may need seperate apn settings and things. Please let me know so I can fix any issues and make it cross compatible with any device in future builds.
I will also eventually work on making it compatible with other us carriers as well. Anybody want to be a tester on these devices please let me know.

There are big things coming If you follow my tmobile thread than you can follow the progression of the rom. It has actually been in development for a quite a while but on the tmobile forum, I just now decided to post it over here since the rom does work with most s5 devices. I have not focused on customization at all since most of what can be done can easily be done with xposed. I also am attempting to steer away from the mass mess of control panel settings. This rom is and will feature all of the options directly integrated into the phone. For example to those that didnt notice, the touchwiz launcher themes are built directly into the launcher settings and there is cpu settings built directly into the dev settings plus many more.
I am working of much further customization and it will be added into the next build in the form of aroma though, this will solve a lot of issues that are caused with inbuilt settings.
I also attempt to gain permissions and include all of the community created apps and mods that are donated to me making this a true community rom. I also really want feedback and am extremely actively checking all the forums to listen to requests, bugs and comments. If you mention a bug on the forum, chances are that I am fixing it minutes after you post and will probably release an update within a day or two after.
Also as just an fyi to everyone, I am going to port it more for this device and once I finalize the next version I hope to release a version just for these devices. Such as removing all traces of WIFI calling since it does not work on a non tmobile network. Let me know of any other altercatations that you think I should make.
Also for all those interested, there is also a "hybrid" version of what started off this rom in the second post. It includes all features fully working including private mode and ART. I stopped development on the highbrid version as of version 8 since I ran out of what would be possible without having to deodex and break private mode. This includes a lot of mods and unlocked features but it is not as fully features as version 8 and will not continue to be developed.
hey mate with the message blocking app csc how would i take that part out and install it in a different rom?

It is a modded feature that was unlocked in the settings app, not an added app. You can attempt to take SecSettings.apk and replace it in other roms however it will most likely replace many mods and may cause issues in the other rom.

Static Rom V3.2
This version is awesome... BTW.. About framework-res.apk.. I prefer aosp style than the framework-res.apk of this version.. Sorry about that.. and the test log.. In init.d.. I already have init.d support but the test init.d script still doesn't run.. But still awesome ROM :good:
well, this is my current rom.
but im using the v 1.5.1 cuz is the most stable.
but as i can see, u updated the v3.
last time i installed v3, it worked, but it had the bug of not notifying low battery, cable plug-in, and other several bugs that bugged me out.
also the gui was not like v1.5.1 based on kitkat.
but ill give it a chance to v3.3
also ill check the new project.
offtopic: is there a chance to get jellybean on this device? cuz some apps dont run on ics.
also, are u going to theme the rom or create a rom themed on lollipop?
its good to see that u updated this nice rom. i've been using it for more than a year. now ill update from v1.5.1 to v3.3.
keep the good work.
Alert: bugs detected!
i cant install viper4android on static v3,3 like sonme guy said but for breeze.
it keeps requesting root and busybox and are already installed and working.
staticrom v3.3 has 2 major bugs that are really annoying for me.
the first one is the most several.
the system doesnt warn low battery with a pop-up. i need it cuz i often use fullscreen apps and i cant see the battery meter on those. so fix it or give a solution to enable it.
the second one is that the clock doesnt show am-pm when requested via settings. and also i cant change the clock color.
hope all of this dont happen on breeze too.
i need those 2 fixed.
edit: i had to use an xposed module to get the clock working as i wanted... but its still BLUE! D:
link caido rom static 3.3
bumping old thread - i know. is there anyway to still get a working download link for this rom?? thanks!
