[Q] how to suggest something to google (or any custom rom developer for a general fix - General Questions and Answers

ok, so the thing is as an end user, I have no idea who to bother with this (whether they will listen is a whole other thingymagig)...
but well general discussion, here we go:
A thing which has been annoying the crap out of me in android is the checkboxes in settings not displaying the full text. Mostly the detailed explanation gives enough info to guess what it actually is about but sometimes it's anyones guess
for example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'm guessing in the first screenshot "up..." stands for "update" seeing how it is referred to in the details, but the second one... ehm.... miniplayer? microphone?... milk!?
I am using a galaxy s2, not a giant screen but definitely not the smallest either, anyone an idea who or what we can inform about this annoyance?
Thanks!

Partition Basics

I decided to take some time and make a visualized representation of what's inside of our devices, generalized with who but it there and possible outcomes.
I hope it is user-friendly and noob friendly, since I've seen many questions about "whats a full wipe", "whats a ROM", etc. and cant explain it with mere sentences.
So, without further adieu, behold:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Let me know what you all think.
I might add more pictures with more in-depth visualizations in the future.

That's a sunlight sensor I believe. Goes in next to the camera.

Changing the GUI for selecting a time

Hey guys,
I had a quick question that I couldn't find in the forums, or on Google in general for that matter. Is there a way to change the way time is input on our device? For example, when I'm choosing the time for a calendar event, this is what I see on my Honor 8 running the latest version of EMUI:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is there a way to go back to this method of selecting the time?
Thanks!
I've been annoyed with the same thing for a while now, and googling shows we are not alone. It seems to be something Huawei has done (at least on Nougat), and I'm afraid there's very little we can do short of hoping for a fix in a future system update.

Question Why is this part of my phone name?

I purchased an open box phone and see "(359J)" in the phone name. Any ideas why that is? Should I be concerned with anything?

That's the 4 letter/digit combo Samsung assigned the watch so you know which one it is when pairing it to a phone
Ahh ok. So all phones have that in their names? I have seen some screenshots and videos of people's phones on the bootup screens and haven't seen that.
Anyway, sounds like it's all good and nothing to worry about. Thanks!
Here's mine
You can change it from default using the Galaxy Wear app.
I guess that nobody has noticed that these are the last 4 characters of the serial number. Lmao

Google assistant hidden image

I thought I was going crazy for the longest time lol... there's a parrot image when I ask Google assistant to "repeat after me". It only shows up for a micro second but I finally captured it. Here's the weird thing - I can't find any posts or even reverse image search for this.
The reason I'm bringing this up is because I swear I saw a NEW hidden image of like a guy with glasses on, that again only appears for a micro second, usually after I've been charging my phone and swipe to access my apps. What is this? Can anyone shed some light on why there's hidden images?
For reference, I'm using a Oneplus7t. TIA
