Kyocera Hydro vs HTC One V - Android General

I'm trying to decide which one to get.
Any opinions? The hydro cannot be modded but is waterproof, 1ghz processor, and has ~1Gb of storage and a removable battery.
The HTC One V can be modded, 4gbs of storage and 1.2ghz. No removable battery.
I go to the pool a lot but I also want to be running JB.
Your thoughts?

[Q] Sensation or Galaxy S Plus?

Hello folks, I have a budget of £31 monthly and the minimum requirement of a contract would be 600 minutes and a free phone. So with vodaphone I have identified two top class phones, the HTC Sensation and the not so well known 'Samsung Galaxy S Plus', which is an uprated 1.4ghz galaxy s essentially.
So I'd like to hear everyones opinions and pros and cons of each device, as at the end of the day I don't want to regret buying it as it's a lengthy two year contract.
Thanks in advance!

What's faster tho, 1.2 ghz dual core or single core 1.4ghz?
The galaxy plus also has 256MB less ram than the sensation: s

I say get the sensation, a 1.2ghz dual core processor more ram then the galaxy S plus and it's on HTCs ICS update list. A Galaxy s plus would be foolish in 2012.
To Punish and Enslave
HTC Sensation Has a dual-core processor

Put it this way. The Sensation is a highend phone and the Galaxy S Plus is a mid-end phone.
•Difference between dual vs single core
1.2ghz Dual core processor vs 1.4ghz Single core processor is somewhat equivalent to a Turbocharged Corvette vs a non Turbocharged Corvette.
1.4ghz single core is already fast, but a 1.2 dual core is even faster.
•What is RAM?
The more ram you have means the more apps you can have running in the background before Android automatically starts closing running apps. So once you start to run out of for example 512mb Android will automatically close an app that has been inactive to help allow the software to run smoother, battery life to last longer etc.
The more ram you have then that means the more apps you can have running at the same time. For example 512mb of ram might only be able to run 4-5 apps in the background before it starts to close apps automatically and 768mb of ram might be able to run 7-8 apps beforeit starts to close apps automatically.
Keywords: DUAL CORE and SINGLE CORE

Right thanks folks, it seems a no brainer then. I guess I'll have to go for the sensation

Also, dont forget the Adreno 220 Vs Adreno 205.Huge diffrence between these two
its obvious Sensation is better.
Right last minute decision, found the galaxy 's2' for 31 quid 600 minutes with vodaphone. Bargain bucket, thanks for the help guys, oh and btw it's an online exclusive only, in store it's £36.

get sensation and oc to 1.5ghz as this is the original speed of chipset (htc underclock cpu on sensations to 1.2ghz)
beware though, some sensations have the dust under the screen problem, some get very very warm
just a heads up

maybe it's a good phone. it doesn't cost too much for the features that it offers
Looks good, but I would worry about the 512MB of RAM and the FWVGA resolution on a 5" screen. For the price though, great deal I guess.

But for the raw power I have Sensation XE....Adreno 220. So anything high requirements I'll be using that.
Just need another *secondary* phone since I have 2 numbers...for a secondary phone that's a good choice considering 1 GHz and android
What I intend to ask is, is this good enough to replace a HTC wildfire ?

...IMO I would be worried about the 512MB of RAM...but as far as replacing the Wildfire...that's not a very hardware heavy phone either. I think for the price it is a pretty good replacement...
Ok
I think it looks nice. Has that galaxy nexus look, but the 512 ram throws it off.

You can get it for 9700 rupees in India but the thing with micromax is that its batteries are very poor and they degrade very early within six months Micromax phones are good if you want to use it phone for a year and then get a new phone
If you think this then go and get one

Great, but a dual core processor is needed today.
I would not ever recommend that you go for micromax smartphones. Most of those phones have charging problem or the screens becomes unresponsive after some use.

Which one to buy

Hey developers need your suggestions......
Which smartphone should i buy
1. Htc Thunderbolt
2. Htc Evo 4g
If you're on AT&T I'd say neither. It all depends on your carrier for the most part.

My only fear with the DNA is that it might lose developer support. HTC isn't in good relations with developers at current time, whereas Samsung devices have awesome support. I like the hardware on the DNA way more though.

Exactly Htc lacks in marketing as compared with Samsung!
Plus note 2 has a removable battery and expandable sd, with lots of progress made on bootloader unlocking on Verizon.
DNA is one sleek and sexy phone, though!

But you know what it doesn't have? A 1080p 440ppi screen.

The DNA supports USB Host. So use of a OTG cable to a flash drive will serve the same purpose as a SD card. There are even WiFi enabled drives as well. So not having an SD slot was not a deal breaker for me. I'm glad there are other options than just cloud based services.

HTC M7 Sense 5 468ppi 1.7Ghz Quad core
HTC M7 rumored to replace One X in February with 4.7-inch, 468ppi screen and Sense 5
the M7 is said to improve upon HTC's current flagship Android phone, the One X, nearly across the board: with a 4.7-inch HD display at 468ppi (reportedly called a SoLux display), a 1.7GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and LTE and HSDPA radios. The M7 will also reportedly carry an improved camera with a 13-megapixel sensor and an f/2.0 lens.
M7 should be headed to Verizon and Sprint, and that there's a possibility it could be the first smartphone since the HTC Touch Pro 2 to be offered on the four largest US carriers.
The htc droid devices usually get sources quicker than their other devices like the Thunderbolt. I think that they are like htcs version of a development device.

Yeah I heard about that. Sounds like a beast. Sony I think is also gonna release a 5 inch 1080p 16 megapixel 128gb storage beast. But sony so who knows how it will be....

I think title said all...plz suggest me one of the best phone from these 3 models....plz give ur comments who's best in gaming and camera ad 3g usage...
I personally would go for the Evo 4G, I feel that it has the best of all the categories that you are looking for.
Yep evo. Root and soff it, then overclock and you'll be good to go

Um, no the raider is the best unless you mean the evo 4g LTe, in which case that's even better. The raider has a dual core processor and 1gb of ram, and it also has a sense 4.1 rom that runs very well on it.

I'm really disappointed as well. If only it has quad core and 2gb of ram...
I'm still really tempted to get it. The 3g-h-h+ cycle issue is really pissing me off on cm10.1 and I can't stand sense.
Sony Xperia SP. Get that mate, make no regrets, that is by far the best overall Android phone on the market today, and it's only £300. LTE, NFC, 720HD, 8MP, and a whole other load of abbreviations, I'm sure. They just haven't got the development boat rocking yet. Give the device a couple more months and it will have quite a few developers I think.
