For some reason on my phone the android system recovery <3e> has a problem when i press the volume button to scroll it scrolls but when i press the power button it dosent want to select anything not even with the home button neither. Can you people help plz
You proabably have a bad/buggy button. You should install a touch recovery

what do you mean because if you mean about my buttons they work fine. And i watched alot of youtube videos and i cant seem to download twrp goomanager dosent detect it.

He probably means your system has a problem detecting it. Not that your physical button is bad. Try to remotely flash the recovery with something. Odin if you have a samsung.

Just get a rom, connect your usb cable from your comp to your phone, copy the file and flash it.

Hi, i managed to brick my phone when i installed cyanogen 7 on it.
i using for it a ClockWork ROM Manager premium and it installed the cyanogen 7 just fine.
i even make a backup for my default rom with it and all works just fine, no error codes, no nothing.
then it reboots to new android, and that damn boot loop start, well i remember how to fix it from my optimus 2x.
i go to recovery mode but everytime i trying to move down or up the lines, screen just go blank and what i remember there is a text line what says something about backspace?!?.
well i just think that this was a minor bug on the recovery and i rebooted the phone.
well, after that i cannot go back to recovery mode, it not recognize any of the keys, not power+vol up, power+vol down.
So i get just that bootloop and i cannot do anything with the phone, Windows 7 recognize the device and install the drivers but i cannot connect to it with any tools what i know.
i cannot use lg programs on it, nontheless any of the rom tools because they not connect to it, i cannot change any of the usb settings from the phone because the OS not start...
if somebody can help me with this, im be very happy
*UPDATE*
I found out that you cannot press power button same time with vol buttons, you just need to let go the power button while you still pressing vol buttons and voila!, you get the recovery console and you can do there what you needed to do
the power button also starting the device but shutdown it too after while if you keep pressing it .
Did you use 3D key + volume down + power? If this doesn't work you can try to flash a kdz

Oops wrong button!
Anyway only ways I know how to get into download mode is by choosing it from power menu in custom ROMs, a dB reboot download, or taking out battery plugin phone in via USB to comp and while holding volume rocker and trackball insert battery.
If these methods don't work then all I can think of is using adamoutlers unbrickablemod (which requires some mighty fine soldering skills) and when you run the program it auto forces phone into download mode. But it may be more simple to just fix your trackball

thanks but i found out my own way by searching the hard way! i used android sdk on command prompt and typed adb reboot download and it worked now its time to unbrick my device god is real guys!
=) you can actually just reboot the device with the combo held, you don't need to wear out your battery man. Just figured I could help

Earlier, my Gio told me about rebooting for something about wiping data or something like that.
There was no other option so I pressed the button and it restarted now its stuck on a screen, not sure if it's download mode :/
It has the Android mascot and a box with an orange arrow coming out of it, with a progress bar on the bottom that does not move. The screen also flickers. I have tried plugging my phone on the PC but it does not work. Have any idea how to fix this?

Flash stock ROM for your device, it should boot after that.

Can you boot to Odin mode? Flashmode? Or try to use fastboot mode and flash stock kernel.

But, I managed to get into the download mode and recovery, so i have Odin 4.42v. What now? :/

Before I even got these bootloops, My ROM was Maclaw's Cyanogenmod 9. And later on I got a note that my phone will be restarted for some reason, only option was to press OK, so I pressed it. So now I'm here asking for help
Hi @ all,
after failed attempt to restore a backup ("can't not mount system"), my Nexus S won't start anymore...
Biggest problem: The power button is broken! :/ that means I cannot get in recovery, or even in download or bootloader mode!
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this, or at least get the data from the internal USB storage?
Really grateful for any help ...
Install quick boot from playstore, your phone must be rooted.

The Phone is rooted, but won't start anymore... It remains on the google sign at startup :/
No problem. Boot into recovery by pressing volume and power button. Install your ROM.zip from recovery menu

adb recognize the nexus (listed after "adb devices"), but as 'offline'...
Is there a chance to get the device 'online' by adb?
Have you tried to connect it and then tried to reboot. If theres any usable connection the PC should do something during boot..

thats y I said,press power instead of back button u wrote,when you still can in boot scene,very rare chance u can't even get it to recovery mode. if u cant even enter recovery,I'm not sure u can enter download mode.

mate just stop blaming him for using the wrong key combination
question to op:
can you boot into download mode?? (volume down+power+home)
if you can:
download your country's firmware from sammobile.com
extract that zip
connect your phone to your computer with your usb cable (make sure your cable is working fine)
click on "pda" in odin, choose the file you extracted from your zip.
the odin should say comort (or a number)
and also shows that you are connected: "added!"
click start
wait until it finishes, your phone should boot up with no problem now
don't unplug when it's still flashing
I can get into download mode. Going to try that now. Also when I said volume up + home + quit I meant quit as the power button.
