Hi
I am a T mobile USA costumer, I am using the latest NBD 8.3 Rom. I saw a program called SMS service and under it i saw send SMS using GPRS. If i enable it can i send free SMS using Tzones. Since I dont have Tzones can anybody in this Forum who has Tzones try this and give me a reply.
Actually, if you're able to access the internet through GPRS, anyone can send free sms's, it doesn't matter if you're on t-zones or not. All you have to do is put this link - http://sites.mobile.yahoo.com/sms/sendsms in ie and you can send and recieve all the free sms's you want over GPRS.
US only?
This only seems to work for US numbers ?
u can only send but u cannot receive on yahoo SMS, did any body try the option i said before?
I don't have NBD 8.3 since I cook my own ROMs and I can't seem to find a copy of it to try out or I'd try it for you.
You can recieve SMS's on it, you just need to refresh the screen since it's made for PC use and your PPC screen doesn't refresh itself.
To get it to work in different countries, you probably just need to go to your countries yahoo page and find it's link to it's free sms service. -- I just check for links from other countries and couldn't find any for yahoo free sms so this might only be a US thing.
Hello guys,
I'm not sure if this idea has been raised in the past or is even possible.
But is it possible to create an app which allows sending of SMS using the default/native Win Mo GUI for sending SMS, but not using the default carrier sms gateway but instead using an sms provider (who have their own API for sending sms messages) (e.g. many VoIP companies who also offer cheap sms). The data would be sent over 3G.
Any ideas?
I think such an app would be very useful to many.
Is there a free/cheap application that allows you to send sms messages over the internet. Also, if there is, does it allow you to receive sms messages from a cell phone?
Yes you can send sms messages and mms messages from opera and from any email program for example using outlook by going to www.power2text.com the cost per message varies depending on how many messages you buy as they are geared towards businesses doing bulk messaging. The system does allow replies to a mobile if you set your mobile number in your preferences screen on their website. I have been using them for the last ten years for my company and message reliability is the best we have seen. Tech support is available for free and at most times of day 365 days of the year and is always friendly. They arent the cheapest but we had endless trouble with cheaper companies with messages not being delivered. Powert2text messages always get through. You will need to sign up though and prepay before you can use the system.
Skype
I read recently that Skype for mobile can do free SMS though I haven't tried it.

Hello,
does anyone know any app which would forward e-mail to SMS?
I want to send e-mail like [email protected] and it would deliver it as SMS to that phonenumber.
I know you can probably do that with your provider, but here in Czech republic probably not.
I've tried deskSMS, but that required sending the message from their web app. I need just plain simple e-mail support.
Any ideas? Doesn't matter if it's paid or free.
