I will love it Actually the previous recovery of a21 and a9+ works on a15. But the problem is that a15 has the recovery partition of only 10mb. So, the size of recovery. IMG has to be less than 10mb.

dont think thatz possible coz there will be two system two boot.img files that would make the mobile akward
Impossible
Internal memory is not much
Sent from my Nexus⁴
I think about a solution, replace recovery partition with an boot image, in init.rc mount another system on external sdcard then you 2 ways boot with button combine
Ofcource you lose recovery enviroment except Odin download to get recovery back
Anyway, that my guess.

See the original one has been built from source and has bugs of its own. This one is complied from another dev. So it is different.

See if you are on jb and want to restore jb Rom then boot.img is not necessary to restore but if u have any ics backup then only it is necessary.

@darwin25 is this a custom bootloader? I prefer fastboot over download mode.
It will be help full if we got android 4.4 (officially ) and one want to downgrade it to 4.1.2 jelly bean . Then flashing ordinary pda file will bootloop the device , but by flashing the above files will install jb .
(It happend to me when I was s advance user and wanted to downgrade to gingerbread )

"The bootloader configures the device to an initial known state and has a means to select where to start executing the kernel" (wiki) If you have a locked bootloader you cannot flash kernels or Roms. There are those which can be unlocked, a procedure that erases device sd and data, and the other kind(that should be wiped out) protected by keys. Considering unlocked bootloaders, there are versions, considering 4.2.2./4.3/4.4.2 that are incompatible with certain code.First you unlock bootloader, install recovery, root, flash what you want, there you go. Sorry for bad english.
So how to unlock bootloader then?
