Mixer Theme won't let me use any GAPPS - T-Mobile LG G2x

So I downloaded the Mixer theme from the CM7 forum yesterday and realized today that while it's selected as my current theme I cannot access any of my gapps. Gmail, playstore, etc. As soon as I change my theme I can then access any of my google apps as I wish. Any ideas as to why a theme would be doing this? I also have a zip themer morphed lockscreen mod installed as well. But I have never has any user issues with morphed theming before.

Anybody? Can't seem to find a fix =(

Seems to be working fine for me. Did you try to switch back to system, reboot and then apply mixer and then reboot to see if it works?

WiFi Tether app Themed

I got a little bored at work today and edited the wifi tether app. For those running Cyanogen roms it will go really well. It's not 100% complete, still a few minor things I want to change and a slight off center that I need to fix but like I said, it's minor. After the holiday I'll finish it up. Hope you enjoy it, suggestions are welcome but I'm fairly new to Photoshop and GIMP so I'll do my best.
This is 2.0.5 pre 14 (the latest) and it should work with any phone that already runs it.
It doesn't want to install. After pressing install it says "Application not installed". Strange because this one (same version) installs correctly, its just not themed http://code.google.com/p/android-wi...name=wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre14.apk&can=2&q=
Looks good!

That is strange, it installed on mine. Just out of curiosity, where is your current tether app installed to, /system/app or /data/app? For some reason when I tried to install it while booted (to /data/app) it did the same thing. I had to put it in my rom and reflash it, kind of the long way around. Maybe adb push and adb install would work also. If not, I'll pack it in a zip for you show you can flash it in recovery if you want.
Having the same installation problem...
Tried also with adb, seems to be an error with certificate, hoping you will make a flashable .zip
Ok, I've modified by me these app importing the themed file in the "standard" thether app, signing, and now it works.

Thanks for doing that. When I finish it and update it I'll make sure to resign it just in case. I'll DL it and update the post unless you want me to just put the link up that you have in your post.
EDIT: I just resigned mine (and renamed it), it should work now. If not use the link matiu posted.
Thanks heybobitsme, I'm new to photo editing but figured I should share what I manage to get done. If you have any suggestions, fire away.

Transparent Statusbar CM10.1

I liked the transparent statusbar of the Galaxy S4 so much that i searched a bit in the internet.
Then I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234355
I followed the TuT and it worked!
But it´s still buggy.
Download: http://d-h.st/4J3
Installation:
1.Download and install it with CWM
2.Wipe Cache/Dalvik
If you don´t want it anymore flash this: http://d-h.st/VJH
Thanks @Adi Aisiteru Reborn for the TuT!
This is exactly what I was looking for Thanks!!!. So the Bugs... What are they?
EDIT: Ok tried myself and the bugs are
1. Lockscreen not working. Unlock can be done by Menu button only.
2. Notification Menu is messed up.
Now the Remove Zip is not working too. I reflashed the Nightly which got me back to original settings.
Thanks for testing!
I will look into the bugs
edit: I tested it myself
1. I can't face the problem with the lockscreen
2. Do you you use stock theme? On other themes it's not working correctly.
3. For me the Remove zip works did you wipe Cache/Dalvik?
One bug that i found is that the statusbar backround is a little bit slow with updating especially on the home screen.
Ok so it must be the problem with the THEME. No I didn't check on Stock Theme and thats why I think the Lockscreen and Remove Zip failed. Will check on Stock theme and will revert back.
It works fine in homescreen and lockscreen:thumbup: but whn i use taptalk, whatsapp, chrome, contacts, messaging the status bar color changes to white
And after flashing the zip my Google play store stopped working. :banghead:
Hit thanks if i helped you!!
I think it`s because in the most apps is nothing behind the statusbar. Thanks for testing and the screenshots

Know how to flash or replace files
What's Themed:
System Background and Permission Icons (framework-res.apk)
System Icons - Notification and etc (SystemUi.apk)
Contacts (Phonebook.apk)
Dialer (SemcPhone.apk)
System Settings (Settings.apk)
Clock\Alarm\Timers (SemcClock.apk)
Recent Apps Viewer and Small Apps Launcher (SmallAppsLauncher.apk)
Conversations (Conversations.apk)
Apk Installer (PackageInstaller.apk)
Update Center (UpdateCenter.apk)
Sound Picker (Sound-Picker.apk)
White Balance Settings (white-balance.apk)

Misc Apks (HotspotAdvancedSettings.apk, LocationBasedWifi.apk, ReadyToRun.apk)
Features:
Dark (but not pure black) themed apps for more comfortable usage.
I find that pure black apps put more strain on eyes than dark grey. Perhaps caused by high white\black contrast.
Dark holo background.
I really liked holo background, even if it has some color banding. Imho looks much better than plain black\grey image.
Based on Z1 Compact apk's.
I.e. apk utilises icons and images native for our xdpi resolution.
All themed apk's are up to date.
If not, please, PM me
No tabs in Notifications.
Just because =)
ZipAligned.
Works both on Odex and Deodex.
Aroma Installer.
Everything is optional!
Yeah, I'm that nice ^_^Screenshots:

Fixed Download link.
just flashed, tried all the features and they're working great
just two things
1. on the recent apps launcher, there are small white borders around each of the small app icons that are superfluous (would look better if they weren't there)
2. i used to have a system UI mod that allowed 6 icons (without text) on the notification panel which i prefer. reflashed it over your mod and managed to get it back
Works very nice, much thanks. Any chance you can change the messaging app to black as well?
This looks great and I'd really love to try it. But dev-host is always slow AF for me. This is a big problem for me when I try to download "large" files. Getting like 5KB/s download. Would take hours to get the file. Would appreciate a mirror.
Removed link as requested.

Actually, one of the reasons that I've decided to make my mod was that "[MOD] Z1C.108 black UI V2.0 (31.8.2014)" is based on Z1 (not Z1 Compact) apps, so it doesn't have all the proper xdpi icons and images, as Z1 is a xxdpi device. Not that I do not appreciate work @laginoo has done. :good:
thank you ... no border version of the recent apps launcher would be great, as would the Documents/Downloads UI
there were also some other (but less commonly used) menu items that still appear white: sub-menus in Personalization, Ringtone/Notification sound selector, Complete Action with dialog, etc. and if you had time to spare it'd be great if you could darken these as well!
thanks for all your efforts!

Having some issues with dialer/contacts (I think) but don't know if it's from your theme or some other modifications I did. There is no dial button in portrait mode, only in landscape. Are you having this issue as well?
Edit: Also white version (I believe these are the original ones) gives error while trying to flash in both TWRP and CWM. I also tried downloading again with no luck.
Had the same issue, navigation bar disappeared after proper installation. Had to back up data

Hi! Yes I selected "all files" at each step of the installation. I just retried, still no nav bar nor status. Strange. I use Gravity Box, Gem Xperia and Xperia xposed ! Might interfere ?

To make it clear is navbar those softkeys with back, home and recent? If yes I'm not complaining about those. I hid those on purpose and I'm using gestures. I'm taking about the green phone icon not present in portrait mode, that's my problem.
Edit: OK so my problem was exactly from hiding softkeys and not from your mod. Once I enabled them back phone icon is visible again in portrait mode.

I'm so sorry guys!!! I know what the problem is with package installer - PackageInstaller.odex file is missing. Also there is a typo in restore package, so it won't even start flashing.
I want to fix it as fast as I can, but I'm in Japan currently without my PC, so can't do anything till I return...
I will roll the fix as soon as I return (around 8th November).
Sorry again and thx for those bug reports!

S7 Olympic edition theme

Hi,
I have been trying to purchase this theme but paid themes are not available in my country. I then resorted to sideloading the theme by installing the trial version and using package disabler pro but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Help me! I really like the theme.
Try this . Install the theme. Go into priv-app, theme setting . Rename themesetting.apk to themesetting.bak restart your phone before your trail end ... you will need to be rooted and have some type of rooted file explorer for this to work...

Too bad I am not rooted but thanks anyways.
After you applied the theme , you need to clear data application of theme ( Applications->show application system->theme->clear data ) after that you need to disable theme store with package disabler.
You need to do the same steps when you reboot the phone.
Hope it works,
Sorry for bad english.

I got stuck on this as well. What worked for me was, after disabling the theme store service, make sure you kill the running instance of it. Go into settings app manager and find the themes services and kill what's running before it rolls back your theme. Make sure you disable/freeze the service first then kill the running instance.

How to make multiple non-store themes stick after reboot.

Dear friends, for those who are on Nougat we all know how frustrating it can be to have to reapply a custom theme everytime after reboot. If you only want one theme installed and ready for use, instruction set (A) - which is similar to what you can find on most theme threads - is good enough. For those want to have multiple themes installed to be switched at will and stick after reboot, Set (B) is for you.
Instructions for rooted devices only.
(A) To install a single custom theme:
1. Download and install theme1.apk
2. Download and install Solid Explorer or any file manager with root access.
3. Navigate to Root/data/overlays.
4.Open preferences folder and delete all files.
5.Open trialjson folder, cut and paste theme1.json in userjson folder.
6. Reboot device.
7.Apply theme1 in Samsung Themes.
(B) To add multiple custom themes (rinse and repeat):
8. Repeat steps 1-6
9. Open Samsung Themes.
10. Reapply theme1 (currently in use)
11. Apply new theme2
12. Reboot and confirm (optional)
In pictures,
Screenshot A - reboot after theme2 installed.
Screenshot B - theme1 reapplied.
Screenshot C - reboot after theme3 installed.
Screenshot D - theme2 reapplied.
You would have noticed by now whenever you reboot the device right after installing a new theme (from theme2 onwards), Samsung default theme is auto-selected (bug issue?).
All said and done, please try and let me know if it works for you
Tested on Helios 7.5.1 this time...The collection grows...
Just for clarification, let's say I will be installing 3 themes from @vukandric, do I have to install them 1 by 1 then do the process after each installation, or I can install them all together, then do the process? And do I have to be in the default theme to apply the non store theme?

No dice at mine, mate. Installed AGold2 and won't stick. Don't know what might be the problem. Running SuperMan-Rom v2.1
@MitoTakatori, what I did was to install each theme one by one. After that, I do not have to do anything further. I just need to apply whatever theme I want w/o any worries.
Did you reapply existing theme before applying new theme? It's a 2-step after reboot.

You mean reapply the theme I was on before I installed another? If that's it, yes I did reapply. So after installing theme1.apk, doing the steps you mention, then install theme2.apk, steps again?
---------- Post added at 11:56 ---------- Previous post was at 11:52 ----------
As per checking, it seems that the default theme is being loaded after every reboot by an unknown script/command. As in userjson folder, it is the one with the latest date. It maybe due to the ROM I am using though. Gonna check it with @Tkkg1994

For theme2.apk, do exactly the same as you did for theme1.apk, which is to install, delete/move files and reboot. After reboot, reapply theme1 BEFORE applying theme2. Likewise for theme3, reapply theme 2 before applying theme3.

Default theme being loaded after every reboot happens to me on Helios rom too. Reapply current theme first, then apply new theme straight away. It appears to be a Nougat bug or changes to Theme editor, not a rom-specific one.
Edit: Gonna try the same on MM. This may not only be affecting Nougat.

For theme2.apk, do exactly the same as you did for theme1.apk, which is to install, delete/move files and reboot. After reboot, reapply theme1 BEFORE applying theme2. Likewise for theme3, reapply theme 2 before applying theme3.

I see. This makes it clearer. So in DQB7, the bug or whatever it is, is still there. Thanks for the guide mate. Gonna try again from start, I will be deleting all 3rd party themes first. :good:

It's still there, and imo whatever it is, it points to the theme editor. Whether intentional or not, anybody's guess. The best way to clear everything is to delete entire root/data/overlays folder, then check and delete all remaining theme folders inside root/data/apps. With TiBU, I simply uninstalled all theme apks and related files.

Samsung sucked the hump again with the themes. Anyways if some good soul manage to get the latest theme editor exe and shared it here, we will be having no problems with it.
I just uninstalled using TiBu. Thanks for the help mate! :good:

I don't know how to solve it now but, followed every step, uninstalled/reinstalled 3rd party themes, repeat everything; still no theme sticking after boot. It's really ticking me off now. I don't know what causes it! All theme from store applies well, sticks after boot, but NOT any 3rd party ones. I already reported something on SuperMan-Rom thread just to make an appeal to my good friend Luca. Any news on any other ROM having this severe issue?

I have not tested on Superman (perhaps I will). Only just did the same for my other phone - Note 5 (Nemesis Nougat S7E port v2.5.1) and it works.

I think this will be sorted on next SuperMan Rom release, as I already reported it. Luca is one hell of a great dev. So now sticking on Samsung store themes. Bummer.
You saved my days..thanks alot...the secret is that you have to apply the new theme and then reapply it once again...then reboot ....works great
Mate where are the links?

No, you dun have to download anything. Just follow the steps (for multiple themes) in OP.
its not a bug, you delete all the files inside "preferences" folder and reboot that's why your system thinks you're on the default theme, just re-apply your theme even though you think you're already using it.
Simple instruction for multiple custom themes (theory) :
-download and install all your custom themes (don't apply yet and wait for the toast notification "installation complete" on each theme)
-just apply one of any themes you install.
-before your 5min trial expires move fast and delete all files inside preferences folder and transfer (CUT & paste) ALL the .json files inside trialjson folder to userjson folder and reboot.
-re/apply any of the themes you install.
