Help please: boot loop P-5113
Have a Samsung Tab2 10.1 P-5113 that stops at the samsung splash screen and going back to restarting again and again.
I tried to flash back to stock ROM, but still the same. I suspect that the partition is messed up.
The problem is that none of the stock ROMs has a .PIT file in the package, could someone point me to the right direction as to where to get the .PIT file for P-5113 16Gb wifi only Tab2 10.1"? Thank you very much!

Thank you for the reply! I wasn't sure if I understand it, after ODIN flashing the back-to-stock ROM (just a single .MD5 file loaded under PDA line), the tablet is still bootlooping, I don't have any clockmod recovery, so really don't have any way to format. Could you further elaborate? Thanks!
Boot into stock recovery and wipe data.

still no go
Yes I booted into the stock recovery and wiped/formatted both, then reboot, the same thing happens, the screen freezes at the swirling samsung logo, then restarting. Any idea? thanks!
I hate to think there's hardware problem... what do you think?

Try ODIN-ing with the PIT file. You should find the right one here: http://www.droidevelopers.com/f363/11722-[download]-ops-pit-files.html

Yes I have done that using the correct .PIT file, but still the same thing. Here's my next plan: flash the clockmod recovery using ODIN, then try to install any of the custom ROMs ZIP from SD card. My concern is that there could be some hardware defect that prevents the start-up process from going forward no mattering what I flash, do you think so? Thanks!

If it's getting that far, there's probably no hardware problem.

Hi I just tried ODIN flash the clockmod recovery, it says flashed ok, but when I press power-volume-down it still goes to the stock recovery, as of nothing has been flashed. Any insight on that? thanks!

Was it a zip or tar file that you flashed, I don't believe a zip will work. Hope you get it sorted.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, not sure where to put it,

I had to install the driver manually so i tried to install it through the recovery mode
However after I did this the device wouldnt boot up past the boot logo and im not too sure what to do.

Since upgrading to JB 4.1.2, I am not able to downgrade to ICS. After the flashing ICS via odin or for that matter mobile odin, is complete, it goes into a boot loop. Only way way out was again flash Jelly bean, it worked. Is there any firmware with full components like pda separate file, CSC separate file and phone separate file? I have heard that we need to flash these separate files via odin to downgrade. can anybody give a download link for the same?

you must go to stock ricovery ( with power + volum up ) and then wipe data
( your data are remove ( factory riset )
sorry for my bad ENGLISH
But I have heard that if one wipes factory reset through stock recovery, I am afraid one is liable to get bricked devices.

Just to make it clear.. wiping from stock is Safe IF you are in HC or JB ( someone said its safe ) but a big NO in ICS because it causes the tab to be bricked.. wiping from CWM on all roms is SAFE.. pls.. get your facts right..

If you want to downgrade from official JB to official ICS, you have to have .pit file
You can search pit file for P6200 in XDA and using odin to flash official ICS with option re-partition checked
First time, when my friend downgrade without .pit file, tab got stuck at SS logo even wipe everything fully. With .pit file, it succeeded

No, just ICS Stock Rom with .pit file

You can downgrade to HC, do wipes and flash ICS.

Did you check option re-partition in Odin?
By the way, stuck at SS logo is quite often happened if you did not wipe. You should try to perform full wipe.
There is an issue related to wipe using ICS stock recovery, you should use Odin to flash CWM recovery (without .pit file) and use CWM recovery to wipe.

I've been on Carbon 1.8 for some time (AOKP and CM10 before that) and wanted to go back to stock rooted TouchWiz for a while. So I downloaded the de-odexed rooted Stock VRBF1 from Scotts ROMs.
I flashed this from TWRP 2.5.0.0 and the phone would not boot beyond the "Samsung Galaxy S III" screen. This was a clean flash, I factory reset the phone and also manually cleaned the dalvik, cache, system and data from advanced wipe options.
I tried this again about twice with the same result.
I then tried a Stock VRALG7 zip that I had on my computer with the same result.
Finally, I gave up and decided to flash Carbon again, and the exact same thing happened - The phone won't boot beyond the "Samsung Galaxy S III" screen.
I can access Recovery just fine and even connect via adb. One thing I noticed was that when I am in TWRP and explore the files, /system is empty and has only one folder (bin)
At this point my phone is pretty much dead in the water and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks !!

Use Odin to flash the stock tar then reroot. There's a no-wipe stock rom thread in the dev section that has a few stock images. If you have issues flashing those images then I firmly suggest using a tar that wipes /sdcard. You can download those on Samsung Update website for our phone model (SCH-I535).

They might have some as well, I'm mobile and at work so I can't check for you. Make sure the tar specifically states it's for "d2vzw" or SCH-I535. If someone else can help out please do.
