Mainly a learner from xda posts, just wanted to let atrus know that I flashes newest pacman and video recording is working from stock camera app
Cheers! Great rom!
Did you have any troubles with the white HTC screen bootloop? My device is still stuck on restarting on that screen even with the newest build.
Ah, it seems that my hboot was too old. Guess the 1.06 just wasn't cutting it. I updated it using an RUU and I can now install the rom!
My One S is currently running it. I didn't really test to much, as I use it for Music and gaming. One thing I noticed about the new release is an Audio problem. Music plays through the right earphone, but not the left one.(Im 100% sure its not the headphones. Works on all other roms and other phones)

Glad you sorted it!

Like the sign says..is there anyway to add beats audio to hashcodes stock cm9 rom. I know there are custom roms with beats built in but a lot of my apps just seem to work better with the stock cm9 rom he built.

I just installed the same one I always have, the one labelled for Gingerbread, I think.
Do you have a link to one that works? I've tried two or three different ones floating around and I get an immediate system sound f/c upon reboot.

Installed your ROM yesterday. Works great!.
As for Beats Audio, I don't even know what that is or why I should care
Can you point me in the right direction?

It's a set of software libraries that should provide you with better sound I'm able to hear a clear difference when comparing the stock ROM and gedeROM, but be the judge of that yourself.
I thinks it's funny how Beats Audio on the hardware side is so terrible but the software aspect is pretty damn good. I was really skeptical but the bass is much fatter in comparison and the whole thing just has better sound overall. It's now totally obvious to me the main design focus was cosmetics to make all the little hipster kids happy when they should've been smart and focused primarily on functionality. But who does that nowadays, right? On a side note, I can't stand the ridiculous white ones. They might as well make them bright yellow with flashing lights, like "Hey, everyone, look how trendy I am!"

Oh don't get me wrong i'm using ged's rom too and love it..i just have an issue where dsp manager does absolutely nothing (ie: i move the sliders no sound change) and any other eq app i've tried f/c's immediately when opening. I love the sound change beats provides but i also would like to be able to fine tune with and eq. I've flashed G's rom with a fresh install and 3 different downloads and still get f/c's on any eq app? So i thought maybe one of the thousands of beats.zips floating around might work if i flash it over a stock cm rom. I want your rom to work for me ged, but the lack of eq bums me out. Any idea what i'm doing wrong with dsp manager?

I tried DSP yesterday. I heard difference as soon as a changed a setting. This is from the internal speakers not headphones.
So is it possible to add Beat Audio to, say, Modaco ROM?

Same here, headphones don't register. Found an eq that works and sounds great with beats on ged's rom.

I installed the Beats 5.1 ZIP from this thread, using TWRP on Hashcode's #10 ROM.
Works great, other than the DSP no longer works and the ROM likes to throw an occasional error at boot up to tell me so. I think this is generally intentional on the part of Beats, since it now manages sound. Since stock DSP no longer manages sound, it would make sense it no longer works.

Yea I actually found beats audio in of all places the play store! Now I can flash it with any rom! Just get that " sound system has stopped" error on boot but it goes away and the sound is much improved.

WTF?!? IIRC, Beats and HTC have an exclusivity deal in place. I'm surprised HTC hasn't requested this be removed from Play.

Yep. It's just an Apk that builds a flashable zip that you use in CWM. I didn't think it would work , but it did.

This just recently started. I went to put my friend on speakerphone and could barley hear him. It's the same with music, notification sounds, etc. It's like as if it was on half volume, but it's on max. The only thing I can think that caused this was I spilled a VERY tiny amount of ice cream on the speaker grill, and cleaned it off quickly.
I'm assuming everyone here is on at&t, so my question is would they replace it for me? I have the insurance, but I feel like they wouldn't know if it was moisture that damaged the speakers...would they maybe give me a free refurb? I'm past the 30 days btw too, had the phone since release date.
Oh and one more thing, kinda random but if they did give me a new phone, do you think they'd be fine giving me the black one? (currently have the white) Or if there might be any way to fix this, let me know. I'm doubting it though.. thanks for any answers!

most of the apps that can do this require root.. so you don't have to flash roms but you'll likely have to root

I'm on viper, how do I get it to be loud like nocturnal SE? I just want the speaker to be loud as the SE rom, which was the rom I used before viper.
Hi,
I flashed a loudness patch on Galaxy Nexus and it works great, I wonder if there's something similar available for Nexus S? I searched the forums but couldn't find anything.
People suggest Volume+ but it doesn't work on Jellybean, Voodoo I already have but its only for headphones, not speakers.
Thanks!

Make sure you didn't tick the option called "tune speaker for music" in voodoo. That makes the phone less loud. If you're watching video and it's not loud enough go for MX player with software sound decoder. You can tune up the volume by 100%. Hope I helped.

Noozy Music Player is a great player that looks very much like the Zune Music Player. It has pretty much the same functions as the zune player but it allows you to listen to thousands of internet stations as well. It also comes with its own sound processor that is supposed to be better than anything available on Android... developer claims it will produce HIGHER QUALITY AUDIO.
Anyways, the app was pulled from the Google Play store but you can still download it here:

The dogsbark dev is active in there and allowing the dev of Nexus Louder to use Noozxoide_EIZO-rewire_PRO in his mod, and the links are in the first post I believe.
And I have both running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with no issues.
Noozy works on sgs3.. on wicked rom... it fc'd and caused a random reboot... but when rebooted... it works fine. Thanks

AWESOME App!!!
I was able to download with no problem. I completely fell in love with the app the moment I installed it. There is a difference in sound quality. The only issue I have with the app is how it shuffles music in it's playlists. I may hear the same 2 or 3 songs twice in a 10 song window. Things will get better with time.

Well (lib/audio) wise nothing. But zplayer is actually getting updated again.
Last one was the 26th I believe.. anyway nooz needs to fix the bugs. Its stopped on me at least 15 times and never shows album art.
Plenty of features, the base they used to make nooz is old.

I'm running 4.4.2 ROM based on slimkat and I want to know what people think is the best equaliser app to use with Google play music? I've tried a few but most didn't seem to alter sound instantly or didn't seem to improve sound quality.
