I create small proxy. Subset of SandroProxy.
It can be used for corporate/university network environments that requires proxy authentication.
Basic, digest, windows (ntlm) authentication support.
Supports pac wpad proxy scripts.
Works without rooting phone.
Maybe, just maybe there is somebody on xda that have non rooted phone and will find Drony usefull.

Drony with NTML version 2 with hostname
Hi,
Drony works like a charm except in a special environment.
I connect to an environment where the ISA proxy is using NTLM autentication with username/password, Domain Name and .. hostname.
I guess that the current version of Drony in Play Store does not take into account a possible "hostname", ¿no?
SandroProxy does?
Thanks a lot for the great work.
Regards
NicBBB
You are right. You can not specify hostname at the moment in Drony or SandroProxy for ntlm auth.
So far you are the first one that need this. Your ISA proxy checks also hostname?
I can change that can be specified in preferences, but I will need you that you test if it works okey.

Hi .
I am getting the below error after giving the required details of my organisation proxy
Unable to start listener 127.0.01:80
Authentication scheme ntlm not supported
Our authentication is integrated with AD hence NTLM should support .. but getting the above error ..
Please help
Please try with this instructions

Hi,
I was at Panera today and could see their Wi-fi, said "connected", but was grey, not blue in status.
Would try to find the Panera page accepting their terms, but stopped halfway loading.
It looked like the stats were DHCP and that's all I could tell.
any help?
Thanks

Yes...try the chocolate brownies...they are great.
seriously...no...I haven't had a chance to try Panera's but it does the same thing on my laptop sometimes...not sure if it's the TF...
Thanks!
Never had an issue with win XP Pro on my laptop....
Addictive place to hang out at
I have actually used my transformer at panera. Once you connect, you have to open up the browser and accepts their TOS. Then you are set!
Sent from my Droid using XDA App
And sorry, meant to add that you might need your browser set to a desktop string. To fully load their TOS
Sent from my Droid using XDA App
You can also try setting a static DNS (not any other part of the IP, let it DHCP that) of 8.8.8.8
Those are google's DNS servers and this often lets you skip the web browser login aspect of many free or even PAY wifi at hotels.

Ahhhh... Whenever I typed about:debug into the browser nothing happened..
But, then I went to settings and found that more options were there.
It's now under advanced - set it for desktop rather than tablet so that the browser won't load the pages as mobile.
I'll try it later today!

Yeah can you guys elaborate on this? I am not following this at all?!
Me too please!
interesting.
the 8.8.8.8 DNS setting made my Xperia X10 disgustingly fast from home....the only issue is that i had to assign a static IP to the phone itself...I just chose a random one that I knew was part of my home network...
do you think that will cause a problem later on?

Thanks!
for the future, when the wifi icon is grey instead of blue, your still connected, but you don't have direct access to google servers which means syncing is down.
This is normal with any internet that requires a log-in page.
For example at my school i have to log in through the browser like you do at panera, and gmail won't update because the google sync dosn't have direct access. You can do a manual check, but it won't do it on it's own.
just so you know.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Question, is it ad-supported or monitor internet traffic in any way?
dude..if u use virtual router...then u should alsoo know abt the "virtual router could not be started"
this is really one of the scarest pblm.. coz jus type in the google and see the intensity of the problem!!
BTW
it is not ad-supported and doesnot collect any user stats
the best part i can recommend is that,NO NEED TO INSTALL IT
soo that al the major issues can be avoided
u will share the network via build in service which is present @W7.... nothing new...
tryng the simplst way is better i think dude...i apolozise if i was wrng

Two friendly suggestions and a question:
1) Produce a more "professional" and well-made tutorial video. For example, choose more "neutral" music and you might want to consider using voice narration instead of text.
2) For the "Setup Hotspot" function, if possible you should move to a GUI like in Virtual Router Manager instead of the current command prompt text interface. It looks and feels so 1980s.
3) What is the security encryption method used by this app? Hopefully WPA2
I use this open source app for the same (For windows 7+)
http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/
I occassionally have to stop/start the service but otherwise it works fine.

and go to advanced settings
there u will find a proxy column...jus enter your proxy and save it...thats it...u can use the internet now..
yes.still not connected.probably my university blocking the network sharing
yeah.That might be reason.
But once you restart the system and and disable/enable the wifi and also the sharing.
Try to adjust the LAN settings too.

torproject.org
There is the Tor Client-- the Tor Browser, and the Tor Messenger (Gibber?)
The Tor Client can do it for all apps, if you are root- but you'd be wise to still use the tor browser strictly for your anon sessions.
And you had better read up on it from the website, although all three are available on Play--
Use OrBot... its kinda slow, the first time you set it up; especially when selecting the app you wish to set up the proxy with but just try it... it works well...
You need to adjust an any working proxy to hide your ip adress.. I think is the only way
You need a proxy....
but is a proxy possible with mobile network?
I just got a working free Hide my IP serial from: www.hidemyipserials.0fees.net
I tested the serial code and it works and now I can able to Hide my IP Address when I'm surfing the Internet!

Hi,
I have installed Packet Capture, an app developped by Grey Shirts. No need for a rooted device.
BTW, it's based on Android VPN to capture packets.
1) I don't know what thinking about it. And you ?
2) Do you know a similar open-source no-based root app ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
What is your goal with the app you mentioned? Are you looking for just packet capture, or adblocking globally on your phone.? And I looked at Netguard and they do indeed have several paid features. Lots of people give very positive reports. Look for threads here at xda.

As I said in my OP, I don't know what thinking about Packet Capture. It's the main reason I sent this Post.
BTW, this app ask you to install a certificat, I think useful to decrypt SSL packets. Am I right ? If anyone could answer.
It captures network traffic by app, in hexadecimal or text format.
I'm sorry to have no much to share with you about my experience. I've just installed it to see globally its behaviour.
Other similar Android apps I've heard about : Wireshark, Shark for Root, but never installed them.

But netguard doesn't tell you the host. Only shows IP and reverse DNS. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Greyshirt's Packet Capture does this. It informs you the host. I use this app to make personal hosts file.
