Transparent App menu

Hi,
I've seen guides on how to code etc, but tt's not my thing....
Now what I'd want, and hope tt someone can help me with, is the following:
The menu which shows jour installed apks, widgets and favorites has a nasty black background (like the dropdown menu btw). Any easy solution for a no-programmer to have this transparent ?

Have you try any launcher? I have nova and you can set the app drawer background transparent...

Hi, txs, not a real fan of launchers but indeed Nova is more Thanks OK.
Except...circle widget doesn't work and One MoreClock doesn't seem to het a geolocation.
Any ideas?

If you're rooted, attach the homescreen.apk and I'll take care of the mod for you. I haven't personally done it since I'm not bothered by the black bg but I'm capable of doing it. All you'll have to do is switch the stock one with the modified one

Are you trying to upload from your phone or PC? If phone, try from PC.

Which version of android are you running? Would you mind also uploading your framework-res.apk. I'm having issues recompiling using my 4.1.2 from Rogers

i'm running carbon 4.2.2, not sure where to locate the framework.res...

Turns out i didn't need it.
Here's the Homescreen.apk
Push it to system/apps & fix permissions to match with your current homescreen.apk
Also you might want to make a back up first

* this should be ok with stock 4.1.2 (rooted)?
* I copy the original apk "just in case"
* I place the new one in system apps
* fix permissons: through Safestrap?

I don't think it would work on 4.1.2 since the file is for 4.2.2. Send me your Homescreen.apk and framework-res.apk and I'll give it a shot. I'm just waiting for feedback for the one I did

OK for the Homescreen.apk ; the framework though - sorry, don't see it....
If it doesn't work, a pity, but no issue; I'm using Nova currently and tt'a already quite good (just the circle clock issue...)

Homescreen.apk is located in system/apps
Framework-res.apk is located in system/framework

[Q] [st26]xperia softkey in xperia j,possible

It's a Stupid Question but it make the screen capture more profession (at least what I think)
This is the situation,[Xperia J,4.1.2,Rooted,Unlock BL]
In 4.0,I can enable it,but it's android default style and the size is large
Now I am in 4.1, I know how to change the button style.still not the size but now,I even can't enable it...
Anyone know what I am thinking??

Please do not say it, hit it.
Use another launcher, default launcher not optimized for using OSB.
If you want to theming it use this.

Hehe I was kindly resizing yesterday framework-res.apk for paradox rom. I'm porting it. But I didnt resize it all, I just put some files and I write this in build.prop "ro.sf.lcd_density=240". But I need to do that because paradox rom is mdpi and xj need to be HDPI. But you are going to resize is from HDPI to smaller one ,right? Use link what I post!

Completely Silently Stock SamCam XXUDMJ7
Hi I am pretty shure some of you want a completely silectly camera
You DON'T have to look if your device is in silent mode or something! Doesn't matter how loud your system settings are!
Everytime this camere is silent!
This is my first MOD but shouldn't be any errors, USE ONLY ON DEODEXED MJ7 FIRMWARE! test on other Firmware-Bases if you want (it should work) but backup SamsungCamera2.apk first!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Flash Silently_Camera_MJ7_Delet_Sounds.zip first and then Completely_Silently_Camera_MJ7_APP.zip
*Just Flash It Using Any Custom Recovery And That's It!

It's because this is the only deodexed app in your system/app. (If framework folder and app folder are both completely deodexed this wouldn't appear)

As the OP said to flash both, I wanted to know what "Completely_Silently_Camera_MJ7_APP.zip " does additionally to "Completely_Silently_Camera_MJ7_Delet_Sounds.zip". I'm sure it's another sound that has been disabled, but I was curious as to what exactly.

SamsungCamera2.apk has the following changes:
all .ogg sound files are replaced with one .ogg which duration is <1ms an has no frequence.

I just wanted to know which particular sounds Completely_Silently_Camera_MJ7_APP.zip disabled that Completely_Silently_Camera_MJ7_Delet_Sounds.zip hasn't already disabled. To see if it was worth while flashing both as you suggested.

have you unlocked bootloader
do you have CWM??
if no.....&.......if copying the system ui apk back in system>app ,set permission,restart does not work....then bad luck

Hey Guys, i took our Stock SystemUI.apk and replaced the battery icons with the ones from the 4.3 Update it is working fine

If it is not working delete SystemUI.odex and it should work fine

Just push it to System/App with R/W/R/R permissions and deletze systemui.odex

It has been posted for odex rom
But yu must flash it then...
Dont move manually
Otherwise bootloop

Nope it doesnt work on Unrooted Devices
