This looks really cool.
It would be fantastic for this to come on the Play.
I would really like Gameloft to bring across NOVA and the first two games in the Modern Combat series

Modern Combat 2 is optimized Was one of the first games aswell.

well, i don't get stoked at all watching that video because off 2 things.
1) The controls on MC 2 is really really bad IMO, and i guess MC 3 will have the same type of controls.
2) The graphic will not be near this good as in the video. If you don't believe me, go check out the trailer for MC 2 for xperia play, and compare the trailer and the real in-game graphics on your phone. They always make the trailers look fantastic, almost like a game for pc, ps3 or xbox, but when you start playing it on the Xplay, you're like "WTF?!". At least I am...

I have to say that while the controls for MC2 are frustrating eventually you get used to them. I've been enjoying the heck out of the game, despite a few periods of "dammit I can't target that guy!" But then i usually just run for cover and try again. Also any time I'm on a mounted gun or gatling gun I use the touchscreen control for accuracy. They are completely impossible to use with the analog touchpad.

They seem to work fine for me???
I blew up 5 guys at once last night getting me a trophy, it was hilarious!
Strangely calling in an airstrike is a problem, when I press the airstrike button (normally the menu button) I toss the smoke can and it immediately pauses. Just have to hit resume but its kinda weird.

well gameloft games are quite known for being buggy.. so far the only games that i've played with the least number of annoying bugs were ASphalt 6 and RSix Shadow Vanguard, but the "Go to Position/Back on Me" command being triggered on its own is sometimes annoying in Rainbow Six..
have you read the link i posted? MC3 seems promising...

Let's just wait if this is optimized for our phone..

Yes the link was interesting, considering how good the Production values are for MC2 I have high hopes for it. And yeah I agree on the bugs, in fact Asphalt 6 is the only one I didn't find bug in, with Assassins Creed being the worst offender.

This. I'm SO glad I kept the previous version of MC2. The new controls were a huge step down.
Generally though, it's hard to use the controls of MC2 to determine how MC3 would be... if you haven't noticed, Gameloft is REALLY inconsistent with their quality of aiming controls...
Aiming controls are usable in older versions of Modern Combat 2 (v3.3.9)
...but godawful in the newest version of MC2.
They're good in Shadow Vanguard
But SO HORRID in Splinter Cell Conviction that the game is really unplayable.
Then they're decent in NOVA 2
Absolutely abysmal in older versions of Brothers in Arms 2... but then they come with a new version of BiA2 (v3.3.9) that surpasses all their other attempts at aiming controls in any Xperia PLAY game they've ever made.
Gameloft should just take one week devoted towards creating one uniform standard... EA's Dead Space has the most accurate aiming scheme I've seen on any Xperia PLAY shooter... whatever physics/acceleration/response was behind that should be applied to EVERY Xperia PLAY game that uses the right pad for camera controls.

from the looks of the concept art and interview, i think we're seeing a World War II-ish scenario with guns firing everywhere, like the D-Day maybe, only it's set in the 21st century. Large scale war eh? that'd be freakin cool!

Gameloft games on ICS latest fw

anyone having issues playing certain gameloft games on latest fw with ics,
I can't get tintin or assassins creed working, it just force closes, and tintin just closes down without fc,
however asphalt adrenaline hd work with modern combat 3, gta 3 and need for speed shift, 9mm hd

It's ICS, some of them aren't compatible. NOVA 2 won't work, and even though it works Asphalt6 has random red lines during play.

for the random red lines to dissapear you need to use the updated apk file, so the red lines are gone for me
except now fast five has red lines everywhere, polygons or something i assume

brothers in Army II also FC after playing several minutes each time on my XE with sense3.6.,but modern combat 3 and 9mm hd running so good!

eternal legancy and MC3 not playable for me on ICS

asphalt 6 hd 1.0.8 = wrong accelerometer control..
NFS hot pursuit = bad cars sound (skipped)
game faults, not ICS....

using chainfire 3d for some and they work

nova 2 not working for me

For me latest asphalt works fine.
MC3 not works.
GTA3 works fine

i'm on elegancia and tintin, asfalt , modern combat 2 works for me .... i bought them on android market ....

Dont know about ics but the recent mc3 update screwd it up completely.. runs like a snail on acid

Yes, issues with Spider Man Total Mayhem, Shrek Kart and the free racing one who's name evades me right now.
Running DXLP7 on SGS2, same results rooted and un rooted.
I even wiped everything including /sdcard re-flashed and still the same.
C'mon gameloft get some updates out, my son will love you!

Having emailed them, Gameloft have admitted issues with certain games and ICS. Apparently they are working on updates...? Meanwhile results same on XWLP3.
Spiderman version 1.0.0 works a little better than 1.0.2 but still hangs/crashes

exactly! version 1.1.1 is totally messed up! i had to revert back to 1.0.1

any update on this issue? nova 2hd loads up for me then just shuts down after the intro vid and assasins creed shuts down after the first tutorial level after i pickpocket the key for the gate.. ics 4.0.3

Hi all!
Which is a really problem with HD gameplay on ICS? Multi Touchscreen driver?? because All the time FC. and i look that if i pressing 2 place on my screen after i have FC if i playing just one fingers after good but this not good.
So i just want ask. Is there any ICS builds which we can play HD games? If solution the oldered build than ok just pls says that which is.
I think lot of people needed good game and this is a one thing that lot of people not upgrade hd2 to the latest ics!!!
For example installed to my friend and he love the "new" phone just Hd games doesnt work after he said that flashing back Cm7 or mokee os.

HEY I AM NEW IN XDA-DEVELOPER. I HAVE AN KARBONN A9+ PHONE WHICH HAVE AN ANDROID 4.0.4 ICS OS.
GAMELOFT GAMES NOT WORKING FOR ME TOO. HOW TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE? MY PHONE IS NON-ROOTED.

Lets get a list of games NOT working

I've noticed a lot of games I've tried are crashing or "not compatible" with my device.
I'm testing on the AT&T variant of the HTC one X.
So far these games have failed:
-Dungeon Defenders
-N.O.V.A 1 + 2
-Dungeon Hunter 1 + 3
-Toki Tori
-Lets Golf 3
-Alphalt 5 + 6
-Dead Space
-Fifa 2012
-9mm
-Madden 12
-Modern Combat 3
I'd like for the idea to be that we scratch through the ones that get patched or start working so we know we can use them finally as the thread progresses.

"Toki Tori" (from the Humble Indie Bundle) doesn't seem to work either. Force Closes before the screen even leaves my app drawer...

Dungeon Hunters 2 HD works and so does Modern Combat 3 HD.
Bought them both for $5.00 over at Gameloft.

I got Dungeon Hunter 2 to work after downloading it for the HTC desire instead. Weird.

The only commonality, thus far, is that these are all pretty high end games -_-
Luckily, FPSE works pretty well.

dead space works here..only sound is a bit "bugged" in the first scenes

Has anyone been able to sucessfully mod their build.prop to download these?
I tried to change it to a SGH-T989/samsung stuff and i got pulled into "Safe Mode" and I had to create a script on Windows to restore the original build.prop.

modern combat 3 works need to change build prop as well as maybe use chainsfire 3d to nvidia if it runs i have the package that works i can give you the build number of the package
it also fixes all the bugs for mc3 no longer takes forever to reach a match extremely better on the one x nice and smooth

checked mc2 but HUD is still scrunched to lafet and cross hairs off to right side of fire button?

Spectral souls works but, has a very annoying sound issue. It constantly sounds very scratchy and such with the music and sound effects.

with your at&t version, all games should work fine, im not sure why they dont. As for the global version, the issue is and has been the same for the asus transformer prime is that we have a nvidia tegra 3 quad core processor. Very few gameloft games work properly and te ones that do are crappy or free ones. I found a site that has gameloft games that are cracked for the global version and work on tegra for FREE, and the multiplayer works on the all, but for MC3 the ranking doesnt seem to work properly unfortunately

the picross game "PIX" works but force closes after pretty much every puzzle you finish (i'd say roughly 8 times out of 10)

Has anyone else gotten MC3 working via a build.prop mod? It won't work for me, no matter what I try as a build.prop phone.
Can someone help? MC3 is one of my favorite Android games.

It works fine for me without a build.prop mod.

FIFA, NBA Y2K 2013, 2014, Etc.

Anyone noticed that one s can't play some of the more graphic intense games like FIFA and NBA Y2k? Other phone like Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 which has a slow CPU but had a more updated GPU can play the about games. I wonder is it because of the GPU. Anyone got any ideas?

I didn't try these games, but I can play Asphalt 8, Real Racing 3, Nova 3 and Modern Combat 4 smoothly with graphics set to max. Almost no lag when playing.
Which rom are you using ?

Well, i can't even found those games in the Google Play market. I assume must be the compatibility issues. I am using the stock one that come with the phone. I haven't changed anything.

Which Android version is installed on the phone? I played those games and some more graphic intense one real racing 3 and gta san andreas almost without any lag at maximum graphics. I was both on 4.2.2 with Sense 5 and 4.4.2 vanilla and didn't experience any problems. The GPU inside the One S is quite capable even in 2014

Mine's fine just get's it just heats up loads when playing!

Me too, I'm very angry with it. Why should htc one s have not these games while other devices less powerful can play them??

Gaming performance issues

My fps always randomly drops, doesn't matter which game. I'm also on the lowest graphics settings for most games. I don't think this is normal as the specs of this phone are mediocre so I'd expect a stable fps at at least low graphics. My Z1 handled the games better!
What can I do? And is this normal?

I think, somtimes it depends on your game.Some game developers they locked the limit FPS in game.Just like me, i can play MC5 smoothly with full 60 FPS option on my device,but get heavy lag with Dream League Soccer 2016 ! WTF??

I can't play MC5 at even 30fps! I lag like hell

well believe it or not but when i had z5 i was playing BoomBeach and after playing it for about 3-5 minutes it starts to lag alot....LOL thats a big problem cuz with such highend device it should run that game with no problem at all...i still have z2 which was for me the best of xperia line and i could play almost any game with very little lag or whatsoever...z3+ and z5 are both BIG BIG FAILS... i regret buying z5.now i use samsung gs7 and i can tell u that this is a total diferent universe
