Hi all, I have a bit of an issue that I can't seem to resolve. Currently running CM10.1 RC5.
LTE does not work, 3G is fine. After some research I decided to do a factory wipe and reload Cm10.1 RC5, no positive results. Then upgraded the baseband to I535VRBMB1 from I535VRLG1 with no positive results.
I verified Network Mode is set to LTE/CDMA/EvDo, System select is Home Only and CDMA subscription is RUIM/SIM.
I found out that if I change the CDMA subscription to NV, LTE will activate and work properly but cell service does not work. I verified this with wireless disabled and used a Speedtest application with results of 61 ms, 5441 down and 6260 up.
This issue occurred as of RC1. One other item to note is I attempted an update by dialing *228 and pressing 2.
My network provider is Verizon Wireless.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Fixed. I followed this procedure http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114 to bring my phone back to stock, rooted w/recovery and VRBMB1. Wiped data, cache and davlik in recovery. Booted up and did not sync any content. Called Verizon Wireless and had them reprovision my SIM card. The tech told me turn off the phone and he pushed out updated roaming and updated tower information to my phone. Booted up and after ~6 minutes 4G activated.
I have since installed CM 10.1 RC5, synced with my apps and data, and I have maintained 4G service since.
If you have a 4G phone with Verizon Wireless, do not attempt to update roaming/cell tower info by calling *228. Instead call Verizon and have them push the updated info to your phone.

I currently flashed and activated the Epic 4g (Sph-D700) on the cricket network, and everything was working good. But stupidly I flashed the Cyanogenmod 7 RC3 for the Epic 4g on Sprint network thinking the 3g would work. But ever since then I could never get the 3g working anymore.
Tried many steps; from QPST, APN settings, returning to stock, flashing CM9 Beta 4 on cricket, CM7 for Cricket, trying many ways in many forums to fix 3g, and returning to Cyanognemod 7 RC3 on Sprint and trying to fix it from there.
don't know what to do anymore. I installed an app like root explorer for free and messed with the apn. Tried to mess with the hap secret going to system, etc and reaching ppp. Tried installing the epic 4g different cell phone company fix flash file, the i905 data fix and no luck. I tried using CDMA workshop and QPST and tried a bunch of PRLs and the 3g icon wouldn't even pop up.
The PRL that worked with 3g cricket was 42700 one. Flash cyanogenmod 7 screwed it up. I even used voice dials to open APN and nothing. Even dialed ##8778# and set it back to PDA. Tried dialing #data and mess the settings there. Does anyone have a back up of the apn settings on cricket where the 3g works? I currently have thr $55 plan .
I noticed that on cm7 and cm9 the connection goes to 1x and no 3g connection. Also noticed that I keep losing signal and sounds like its updating PRL.
If anyone can help, please
Hey there! I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 running Cyanogenmod 10.1 nightlies. I was just sitting there watching tv, I picked up my phone and saw that my service bar was empty and had a little "R" over it. I tried using the phone and there was an automatic answer saying "Welcome to Metro PCS. You are not a registred customer". WHAT?? I'm on Verizon with a CDMA/LTE radio. As far as I know there is no HSPA radio in my phone. I restored back to a nandroid backup I made on new years eve and that did nothing. So I flashed a new radio and now instead of calling at all It reads "Mobile network not available" and the little "R" is gone, but the service bar area is still blank! What do I do?
Edit: Flashed the latest nightly and new gapps, and now 4G seems to be working, but the phone crashes every time I call anyone, and no texts can be sent through or received.

Here's what you should do. Go to: Verizon Galaxy S III Android Development --> Sticky Rollup Thread! (Are you in Panic? Look here)--> [Tool][Win] Repair IMEI & Roaming ERI issues and follow the directions in that thread. It will send you back to stock, but once you're there you can start from scratch and be in the clear! Hope this helps! :good:
Did you flash a Metro PCS nightly instead of the verizon version (d2vzw/sch-1535)? Also did you... settings> more> mobile networks> and change CDMA Subscription to RUIM/SIM and System Select to Automatic then reboot?
So the issue I have is I no longer have 4G. I got off an airplane and my phone had no 3G or 4G service. If I rebooted my phone or turned airplane mode off and on I would get 4G service for about 2 mins before it would switch back to 1x. Below is what I have done to try and fix the problem. Any ideas on what else I can do.
Reloaded a nightly of CM11. Did not fix anything.
Used odin to load a stock TW 4.04 rom. (still no 3g or 4g service)
Noticed that my IMEI had been earased to 0. I went to a verizon store to check my SIM card and noticed it was gone.
Used MTK NVram to restore my IMEI. (Still no 3g or 4g service)
Used the terminal command SU REBOOT NVrestore (This gave me back 3g service but I still do not have 4G service.)
I've search everywhere and cannot find a solution. Any help would be appreciated. I currently switch between CM11 and TW4.4 rom. Neither connect and preferred network is set to LTE, switching to global makes no change.
Thanks
Help request: LTE Data works,"no service" otherwise. IMEI/number, but no texts/calls.
Software: Android 5.0.1 Skydragon M8 v2.0 Sense 7
Many people have posted issues with LTE where their cellular signal was fine for "2G" functions like calls and texts.
I'm having the opposite problem. After leaving airplane mode (landing at an airport today), I have a "No Service" message in the status bar drop down (notification tray), and the Settings>Network information page shows "Not Registered." However, I do have an IMEI (see details below). However, LTE data works perfectly fine.
I've obviously tried changing the settings in Settings>Mobile Data (preferred network to Global / LTE / LTE/legacy 3GPP mode) connection type global/auto/LTE/etc), to no avail. If LTE is connected it works flawlessly, but I cannot make calls or texts, and show not registered on the network. Data roaming is set to deny, but even allowing roaming does not change the situation.
Before this happened, I HAD gone through all the XTended Settings, and even 'looked' at (but did NOT change) some advanced settings pages, including the 'hidden' HTC network info page ( *#*#4636#*#* ). Again, however, I didn't change anything -- unless by accident?!
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anyone know if I may have inadvertently changed something and can change it back (a setting that would persist in the hardware through NANDROID restores and factory resets...). Or, any other advice to restore the cellular service connection to normal?
I've tried a full NANDROID restore (multiple times) to a working copy, and a factory reset. I have limited access to a PC since I'm traveling, so re-flashing the VZW firmware or stock recovery or lollipop/verizon RUU would be challenging.
I did spend a good 45 minutes (at a library, my only PC access!) searching the forums and web, but to no avail.
Settings information:
OPperator Name: Verizon
Signal Strength -114 (I've had better but still have the same issues)
Mobile Network type: LTE
Service state: In service
IMS service state: Not Registered
Roaming: Not Roaming
Phone Identity page:
IMEI shows up (15-digit number...how can I verify I didn't mess this up?)
Phone Number is correct
IP Address: 100.66..... (looks good)
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

I'm having the same issue. When i try to make a call my LTE bars drop to nothing and it says call failed no network available. Any ideas or help would be nice. I was using venom rom as well. I'm currently trying to flash the newest RRU to see if that resets things. I'm wondering if it somehow my sim card. I took it from my droid turbo. I've made sure to turn off advanced calling on my VZW account though.

I had this same issue, running from ruu then rooted. I didn't noticed until I started seeing voice mail notifications but never heard the phone ring. When I tried to dial out I got the immediate call lost message. I couldn't figure what was causing it so I just did a reset. I made sure not to restore any systems data from prior to the Lollipop upgrade. At this point everything is working, the only thing I haven't installed yet is the xposed framework and sense 6 toolbox.

What kind of reset did you do? I know my issue is slightly different, but I did a full RUU-flash yesterday (latest lollipop version) and still no luck. Unfortunately I'm out of the country now and access to a computer is limited, and I don't even have a SIM card yet to check if cellular service would work anyway.
I do intend to do a flash of the stock recovery and radios once I have the time and access, but that may be a while...
Still, I'll keep checking this thread to see if anyone posts any other options

Just go into settings and to Backup & Reset , this will return your phone to a fresh install and remove all non bundled apps.
Before doing the reset try going into Settings then Call then change Preferred Network to Global, or toggle from LTE then back to Global.
The basic problem is as follows:
I've got a Nexus 6p on which I dirty flashed an 8.1 update (27 Feb 2018) of ABC Rom over an earlier 8.1 version (01 Jan 2018) of ABC Rom. After that, the issues began. At boot, I'd be on 3g and if I toggled airplane mode off and then on, I could get LTE for about 10 seconds. However, it would then drop back to 3g. It's probably worth noting that my cellular provider is Verizon.
I tried everything that I could think of and/or learn via the google. Such as:
Wipe system, data, cache, and dalvic
Revert to stock
Install different/older radio images
Changed SIM (although still Verizon)
... nothing worked. I've read about people manually configuring their APNs. However, I've got a Verizon SIM, so that option does not exist... as far as I can tell.
I've identified a crappy work-around that allows me to get a stable LTE connection as follows:
Open the Phone's Testing Settings by dialing: *#*#4636#*#*
Tap "Phone Information"
Scroll down and set the "VoLTE Provisioned" toggle to the "on" position.
Then, toggle airplane mode on and off.
However, the reason I've described this as crappy is that doing this results in my phone being unable to make or receive calls. Whenever I try to make a call with VoLTE Provisioned, the call fails and reports "Server Error". Consequently, I generally just deal with the phone working in 3G. On the up side, this work-around does demonstrate that LTE is still possible... with the right configuration. Although, it would be nice if I could get both LTE and phone working vs just one or the other.
I came across this post suggesting that a possible solution is to boot the phone up with a non-Verizon SIM, power it off, and then boot it up again with the Verizon SIM. I'm not sure how this fixes the issue. However, before I go buy a $30 SIM in the hopes that it will fix my issue, I figured I'd make this post and see if anyone has any other ideas how I might correct this.
Any ideas are appreciated.

So after a few months of using 3g, I got my hands on brand new AT&T SIM card. (For what it's worth, it hadn't even been provisioned yet). I went ahead and boot the phone with this new sim card. (I also reset the new APN settings to the default, although it probably didn't do much). After powering the phone down and putting the Verizon Sim back in, I've got my LTE back and all is good.
