The best rom 4 sensation z710e

Please what is the best rom for htc sensation Z710e and how to flash it on S-on

I would advise you to get S-OFF. If you're on HBOOT 1.18.0000 or earlier it's easy with "www.revolutionary.io", if it's 1.2x.0000 there is a different mechanism. There are various guides to help you get there.
As far as which ROM, well you will get a thousand different opinions about what is best. I guess your first decision is do you want Sense or AOSP look and feel ?
What do you not like about your current stock ROM ?

I like sence. I like my previous sence I just want to upgrade. And I have hboot 1.27 bootloader unlock by htcdev

I'd recommend that you continue to unlock and get full S-OFF on the phone. Look up some of the guides to S-OFF HBOOT 1.2x.0000. They use something called Juopunutbear. It'll make life much, much simpler.
I'll let others describe the merits of the various Sense ROMs. Personally I tend to prefer AOSP look and feel.

For sense ROM, Android Revolution HD is a fast and very stable ROM, running Android 4.0.3 and Sense 3.6. Am a user and a fan

imo, best sense rom is Viper 1.1.0.
i've been running it since OrDroid for Sensation got abandoned and it's pretty dope with theming support.
I've now switched (3 days ago) to CM 10 (JellyBean) and will not switch back. I've even deleted my nandroid of Viper just to be sure

I wiped the cache partition yet the installation terminated. anyway, the OTA ics I have is for 2.3.4 but I thought it could possibly work on my sensation z710e which runs on 2.3.3. if the is a way I could get updated to the 2.3.4 before upgrading to OTA ics 4.0.3 pls enlighten me on that. below is the precise information about my device.

because you are on S-OFF you can flash 3.33 firwmare
see here

follow the instructions to the letter
and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
after that flash a custom recovery if you don't have it already
then from recovery flash the stock rom(link in my signature)

I just rooted my Sensation XE and got it S-off. :victory:
Installed Rom Manager and Titanium backup (backed-up everything).
Now i don't know wich Rom i would use....there are so many...
I want it to be stable, i use Go Launcher instead of Sense because Sense had the ennoying problem it was closing to free memory when i was using a load of memory. In Go Launcher i can select it to remain always open.
I would like a stable ROM wich keeps camera, bluetooth etc....all working without problems.
In addition of this question i would like to know if i can just remove Sense true titanium backup from my phone without problems? (on stock rom or other ROM ? )
I hope i put this thread in the right section 'cos i'm not used to using this forum yet

You should seriously try Virtuous Inquisition very fast and stable. It's running Android ICS. But I don't know if you installed the required firmware. If not, do so.
Oh, and it's an AOSP Rom and it's senseless. Everything works fine.

Were can i find that rom and info about the requierd firmware ?

You can find the required firmware specs on the developers site of each Rom. I highly suggest trying out SEVERAL roms and see which one fits you the best. I'm using lightening Rom now.its brand new sense 4 and is fast and smooth! I think you would like it! No problems with it. But see its all a matter of personal taste . So do yourself a favor and try out SEVERAL! Have fun and happy flashing

In my opinion Android Revolution HD us the best rom I tryed, Mike does not use portings to ensure maximum stability and speeds... It comes with sense 3.6 bit on the thread he provides a script to completely remove HTC Sense...
It has a completely stock look... It's just optimized and updated.

Upgrade firmware and check Radio before installing custom ROM .. else post successful ROM installation you will end up with no Wi-Fi and Bluetooth..

---and my choice is Blitz 2.6 with SebastianFM 1.5.2 OC Kernel, Very Fast and Stable, But disadvantage SebastianFM Kernel miss out SweepToWake feature which i really like.. Tried all other Kernel with Blitz Rom, they all fast but performance did not stable as SebastianFM Kernel.

I must say that on factory ROM i was using Go Launcher because Sense got closed sometimes when I was using many RAM. Reloading Sense always took a bit of time wich I found annoying. The downside of using go launcher was the loss of the HTC widgets... Go contacts wasn't so good in my opinion. In my current ROM Sense didn't close once so for me it's perfect. It looks very beautiful and it's faster than ever before.

When we thought they were going to leak a JB rom here is the old 4.0.4... Every update is welcome of course but maybe this is a sad sign of no real plan of a jb upgrade for ville c2. Maybe this is a sop given to ville c2 users just to do not them leave without upgrades while s4 users will get jb...

Hang on a sec, "old 4.0.4"? Ville C2 never had 4.0.4 until today. Even One X doesn't have an official JB RUU yet, only test releases. S4 version of One S only has 4.0.4, no test releases for JB at all.

Yes, I meant "old" because s4 got 4.0.4 time ago, and the new os is 4.1.2... 4.0.4 for s3 is almost matching the timing of new JB for s4.

Isn't ViperS already based off the S3 Sense 4 rom? Or is this just special because it's Sense 4.1 with 4.0.4 for S3? Will this be easier to port into a completely working Sense 4.1 rom for Sensation than the current base used for ViperS?

It's not Sense 4.1 - they are deluding you, it has the Rosie.apk from S4 version of One S and that is the only Sense 4.1 feature I am aware of in that ROM. As for android 4.0.4, no it has android 4.0.3 libs and maybe up to 90% of the framework is 4.0.3 - I do not know the exact percentages but what little 4.0.4 code there is comes from the Ville RUU (One S S4 variant)

Porting uses mostly libs from the devices the RUU is meant for (with the exception of hardware specific libs such as Bluetooth and kernel libs) but yes it is possible to use 3.33.401.153 files as the ones that are used for the target device.
This is what myself and mikrosmile will be doing for our ROM - the annoying thing is we spent nearly a month attempting to get our sense 4.1 ROM based off Ville S4 into a stable condition and just when its nearly ready, this is released

In response to your reply Johnny, I wasn't asking about ViperS. I was asking if THIS ruu was special because it's Sense 4.1 with android 4.0.4 for the S3 processor, I was also asking if this ruu would make for a better (fully working?) port of Sense 4+ for the Sensation. The only thing I really asked about the ViperS Rom was if it was already based off an S3 Ruu, I am now assuming its based off an S4 ruu.

ViperS 1.3.5 is based off the S3 Android 4.0.3 Sense 4 1.11.x RUU
There is no current port of Sense 4+ because Sense 4+ is only on JellyBean and the only device to have JellyBean is the One X. It's not worth porting anything from the One X because everything needs to be resized. Sense 4+ is actually Sense 4.5 but for some bizarre reason HTC decided last minute to name it as Sense 4+
This RUU will allow better ports of Sense 4.1 and yes this RUU is special because it is Sense 4.1 and Android 4.0.4 for the S3 variant of the One S

you can use CM10.1 jellybean 4.2.1 by albinoman its great and getting updates every 2 to 3 days ...v.
battery life is good on badass governer it gives you 24hrs and on ondemand it depends on you how you use your phone..

i tried using the CyanogenMod 10.1 Jellybean 4.2.1 - KANG - Latest Build:: Feb-14 and my data network won't lock. it just keeps on float on and off... can't even browse the web.
so i'm also looking for a stable JB as well.

I had good luck, stable wise at least with Dragünkorr's [ROM][ Pure ][ODEXED][ OFFICIAL DKOSP ] {4.2.1} [v.3.5.0] 1/30/2013
It was real stable, he's upto 5.0.0 now so not sure on that one. Was just a clean stock looking ROM, ran very well and stable.
I have been trying out Elegancia Sense 4.1 and its real cool and battery seems better. Its also stable as far as reboots go. It has some isues with Friend Stream not syncing and an occasional FC on the super cool HTC Music app. It only FCs when you try to share from the app though.
Very smooth and responsive.

Are you S-Off and on firmware 3.33? I would suggest doing a clean wipe and reinstall and see if that works. I am currently using that same ROM and there are no problems at all.

yup.. i'm S-Off using JB guide and here's the following:
Pyramid PVT Ship S-Off RL

i couldn't find the FW for the phone, since it's not stock anymore.

Another vote here for Albinomans 10.1 ROM. I've come from a stock vodafone ROM to his, and the speed is night and day. Getting used to life without Sense, but the fluidity is great. I have used the Feb 15th build, and so far no crashes or reboots. Battery life I'll wait to comment upon until I've claibrated the battery or at least gone through a few cycles.
But all in all, I'm finding it stable

Albino's ROM is stable enough for my daily use.

It's a great ROM. Fluid, fast and good for gaming surprisingly! I've been using the 16th Feb build and its getting 8-9k on Antutu benchmark

Try and gain s-off via juopunutbears wire trick or via revoluntionary.io, there are plenty of guides on here for those. Personally id use juopunutbear as thats how i gained s-off
Once ur s-off the phone is basically ur OWN as u can do pretty much anything u want

Elegancia has been good to me so far. I've had no issues and like how it is OTA updated.

My vote goes for inspiration. Fast, stable, closest thing to stock. If htc released sense 4 for sensation, inspiration would be the closest firmware.

Inspiration is probably the best one out there if you want Sense 4, while if you want Sense 4+ (which is now out thanks to SebastianFM) then deff go for Revelation!
I have used both Vipers and Elegancia, while Vipers is the best ROM if customization is what you are after and if you want tweaks and such in the rom and I personally admire Team Venom, but I find that Inspiration is so much cleaner and as stated the only ROM that is fully 4.0.4 as the others all contain certain libs from 4.0.3!

ViperS 3.1.0 just came out yesterday
Sense 4+/JB 4.1.1 and everything's ridiculously smooth. Revelation is pretty nice as well, maybe even a little snappier but you don't get any tweaks with that one; better if you prefer a completely stock One S feel.

Inspiration & ViperS 3.1.0, of course! Inspiration is more stable and habitually, but Vipers have more features.

I'm using ViperS 3.1.0 and so far it seems to be pretty good. Everything is working fine, it's very quick and you can adjust a lot as you like it.
Can't give any information to the runtime because maps was draining (fixed it I think).
