Xposed - mods and tweaks - Asus Transformer TF700

I don't know if xposed has come up here before or not, but i just discovered it the other day, myself and it seems like a neat way to modify (probably) any rom, as long as you have root. For example, on my phone, I'm using it to hide my alarm clock icon in the status bar until eight hours before it sounds. On my tf, I'm using it for per app dpi settings on c romx.
So check it out. Just dowload the apk in this thread and follow the directions there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401

Sweet! Thanks for sharing! I'm using this on my Note 2. The apk was in the OP of the rom thread. Didn't even know, or think to look to see what all devices this would work on. Love all the customization that it allows on my Note 2!! Gonna use it on my Infinity now too! Very cool!

What doesn't work? Xposed works fine and is included in the rom......

I meant gravity box. It doesn't change anything even on reboots.

Have you activated the module in xposed?
Also it only really works with 4.2 gui so if you are running 4.1 gui you won't see a lot of changes work.

I saw a setting about that in the menus but I thought it was referring to the launcher only? Is that what you are referring to?
Yes gravity box it ticked on.

So toggling that did it. Thanks great, however I hate how the 4.2 style looks with the nav buttons on the bottom and pull down notifications on the top.
Anyone know any way I would be able to move everything down like 4.1 and have the nav buttons on the bottom left?

Try the Phab7 module for Xposed. I think it was the "tablet" UI that gives you nav buttons on left and notification panel bootom right.

Thanks, sadly this brought it back to how it looked originally as if it was 4.1 again with the blue batter icons, etc. Even the asus notification was back. Oh well, thanks though for the inputs.

Works fine on Revolver 3.2 Thanks!
Works great on ARHD 1.2.1. This exactly what I needed. There are a few app and games, such as any Divide Arts (Earth & Legend) game, that force the status bar over to the side. It really bugs me when that happens. This has eliminated that. Nice work .
Works great on Revolver 3.2, just what I needed, thanks
Many thanks! Works great on Prime 1.9 here
this app would be awesome if it had an auto hide feature with a 5 to 10 second delay, and set to load on boot.
edit... a drag down option to hide to would be awesome too.
I agree !
Work on Prime 1.9

for non native media players like mxplayer where it would keep the status bar active while watching a Movie, the stock player would hide it though.....this app manually hides it for you

I use it to fullscreen games, so that I don't accidentally hit the back button while playing. You get the status bar back with a swipe.

I've noticed that any app I have used that modifies the status bar function lags the homescreen. Pity. Hidebar does not have this problem since it activated by a notification prompt.

[Q] Hide System Bar on ICS?

Is there a way to hide the system bar?
maybe something like THIS?
+1
Love this idea
Try the link below for the apk........... i havent tried it on ics yet
was just going to post up as an attachment but its not frickin working on the ics browser

it is not working for me
me either - sorry guys
From what I understand, Google pretty much locked it out completely, so it's impossible at the moment to hide the status bar. It's really annoying. :/
From the author of Honeybar: "*** Important note for ICS users: Honeybar is unsupported on ICS and will not hide the UI bar. I have examined the source for ActivityManagerService and it currently appears impossible to stop com.android.systemui"

Damn that sucks. I hope Google changes their mind or someone finds a way around this problem. I find it extremely irritating to use video and reading apps with the system bar at the bottom.
I guess I will stick with Android 3.2 for now.
There's a tweak for the Galaxy Nexus that remove the bottom bar entirely, and the person who posted it says to use ButtonSavior (on the market) to replace the soft keys. The newest AOKP rom also includes a feature to remove the navigation bar which I assume is pretty much the same as the bar on tablets.
The mod is over on RootzWiki, not sure if I can post links to it, or if it will work for the TF or could be adapted for it.
See, it's things like this that make me wonder. Why in the world would google, or anyone, lock things down so much that nobody can change anything? Disabling the status bar in honeycomb didn't do any harm. I never heard a single complaint of a bricked tablet or software problem because of disabling the status bar.
Yes!!!
Team EOS has the option the hide the system bar in an easy to use manner.

Where? Searched for "status" "system" "bar" "hide" in varying combinations as well as individually. Could you point me in the right direction. TIA.
From looking around the framework-res etc what i have seen that ICS is based on a theme called holo. Now if we could modify the framework-res and strip the black and make it transparent it should be able to be done. Decompiling it has been no problem however I am too new at themeing to provide any definite answers to recompile framework-res as i have tried but it just will not register as a proper apk. There is one issue with that however, the holo theme is involved with almost everything to do with the system. Example backgrounds for the menu system and the onscreen keyboard and a pile of other stuff plus the assorted icons would still be present back button home apps button clock and wifi.
All the edits were because my cursor diappeared.

It's part of the ROM. They don't appear to have a separate app to hide the system bar, so we have to use the full rom for now. It works the same way pre-ICS Revolver did.

As for me, I'm very interested with one navbar with search and power buttons, plus the possibility to change the bar height.

thx mister
there is no need to do so many changes in build.prop and what not. simply Install gravitybox in xposed framework(and ofcourse reboot your phone after enabling it). goto navigation bar tweaks, enable master settings. all other settings are pretty straightforward.
For aligning it, goto ''gravitybox ->navigation bar tweaks->custom settings'' and enable softkeys. play with these settings for a while till you end up with what you want, Bcoz i did .
And yes, before you ask, disabling hardware buttons is still not supported in gravitybox, so you'll have to do it the hard way. personally, i feel more is good.

Themer App FINALLY *Officially* Compatible - 27 Aug 2014

I thought I'd share with everyone that the app/home replacement named THEMER is finally LG G3 Compatible as of today.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycolorscreen.themer&hl=en
If you aren't familiar, all you do is install the app, chose from one of over a hundred themes you like, and apply it. Widgets, backgrounds, everything on yours will look just like the pictures in the app gallery.
I've been using it for quite some time on my Nexus 5, and was happy to find out it worked fine on the G3 via restore from TIBU when I upgraded.
Doesn't work for me, can't get no themes. Says it's officially supported but says me phone isn't compatible.

You have to be using a stock/oem DPI and navigation bar height. If you change either, it won't work well if at all.
I updated this morning and it is working fine for me still. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall?
Good news! Long time waiting! Works perfect here.

Can't I force it somehow to work on modified DPI and navbar? Stock is just too big. I suppose I could set a custom DPI for the launcher only via App settings (the xposed module), but can I do the same for the navbar somehow?
This is awesome! Thanks for the heads up! Going to take some getting used to not using the knock to unlock lol
Edit: hmm knock still works!

Nope.
Actually, the only other way to get it to work I read about in their subforums here. You have to change the DPI and Navbar in a manner that still gives you a supported resolution in the end. I don't have any problems with the stock nav bar, though I've got mine themed. some of the themed navbars have small buttons on them.
If you can install the app, you should be able to look at themes, you just can't use the Browse Themes/Trending/newest/Most Popular sections, When you apply others, they may not look right since your resolution is off. I don't think they plugged this loophole yet.

Don't know what the issue is. DPI has to be stock, status bar needs to be stock size and so does nav bar. If they all are, it should work fine.
If they are, and it isn't, you should post in their forums.

Custom Navbar Buttons [No Root]

Has anyone used the Theme creator programme from Sony with there Z5 is it possible to just change the navbar buttons with it? Im guessing it's possible because Themes I've installed do change the buttons but I can't get to my laptop yet to try it. If it is possible I'm surprised there's no thread about it surely I'm not the only one who would like custom nav buttons.
Theres one there just called marshmallow. It uses the Google stock nav bar and doesn't look a whole lot different otherwise.

There's an app in the appstore which allows you to change your Navbar icons and configuration, assuming you're rooted. I used to use it on my Z3 and it worked like a charm.
Never used it on my Z5 and it's a paid app, so it's up to you.

Yeah, Xperia themes can theme the nav bar icons without root. You can create a theme from scratch or simply modify an existing one. Use the Sony theme creator or use APKtool to decompile an existing theme and replace the nav bar icon images.
Just got to try this Theme creators well cool give it a try if you ain't already its very easy to use.
