Hi all,
Same Problems with 8.6.5.21-20111216
Can't use APX mode with this method
ASUS Transformer Root ToolKit V7.1 Universal (Windows) | 2011-09-22
Can't use Razorclaw - One click root
Currently known supported versions only:
ASUS Transformer TF101 (8.6.5.19)
ASUS Transformer 3G TF101G (8.6.6.19)
ASUS Slider SL101 (8.6.5.18)
Have you a solution? Downgrade the version or wait for any solutions for 8.5.6.21?
Thanks for All

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, this upgrade automatically when i've connect the pad in wifi...
I've another question, is it possible to downgrade the firmware? Because it's impossible for new user to use Rom or to be superuser...

I flashed 8.6.5.21 in APX mode today first time - Brk's rootkit is no good, it fails 99% of the time to see the TF in APX Mode
Just grab a NVFlashable ROM like Prime, move the 3 images into the folder of the tabletroms unbricking tools replacing the 3 stock img's with custom rom, then run download.bat

why are you trying to enter apx mode if you have B80 ? you need to wait for razorclaw to be updated you can not use apx mode to flash on B70 + models

You have zero options for root. Stop trying and wait for a possible exploit to be found.

So i rooted my B50 .21 using Root ToolKit. APK mode does not make a noise on .21 open your device and printers and look out for it. simple as that then run the tool. it worked for me. HAPPY ROOTING
Sorry for the question but, where you see the B50 or B70 numbers??
Thanks

It is a part of the serialnumber from your tablet.
It is on a sticker at the bottom (where the 40pins connector is located) of your tablet.

yes, it is incremental, it was about time BB started showing up on shelves, in about 2 or 3 weeks we will probably see C1

[Q] Android Revolution HD v2.3 question

I have an Asus Transformer and want to install Android Revolution HD v2.3 ROM. The threat in the developers sections says that my tablet needs to be rooted with RazorClaw as one of the requirements to install this rom. Does it really have to be rooted using RazorClaw or does it matter as long as the tablet is rooted? I was thinking of using the Asus Transformer Root Tool Kit 7.1 to root my tablet. Any ups and downs from using either RazorClaw or the rootkit? Thanks in advanced.
If you can use the razorclaw method that seems to be better. I had to use nvflash on my b70 model. I tried to flash revolution right after and it got stuck in a boot loop. Come to find out that you can only flash roms that have a nvflash version. Which right now is revolver and prime. I use revolver and really like it.

how to downgrade .30 to root? do i have to?

Just got a TF300, it already came updated to .30. Ive spent the entire afternoon and evening trying to figure out how to root my darn tablet. Ive tried literally every method listed on this site. I tried to downgrade to .17 but my tablet refuses to accept it. Im still on .30 and I dont know how to downgrade? do I have to downgrade or is there a method to root the .30? I havent gotten to checking out roms yet but I will probably end up flashing to the stablest JB rom available. Thanks in advance
You can use sparky's root tool it works with all versions.

I was also a little confused at first.
But I just started with downloading the update from asus, unzipped once - placed that fil in root on the internal sdcard.... and when the notification about update came, I let that run to the tf was on JB.
The fastboot and flashed TWRP - and from the TWRP I did all the clear cashes etc and installed JB-hydro... now on 1.3.2 - just running perfect

10.6.1.14.8

I have heard that doing a system update on a rooted device might mess things up so I am asking if 10.6.1.14.8 update is worth the trouble to re root the device?
a re-root is pretty quick on MotoChopper isn't it?
Or just use OTA_rootkeeper
I'm on 10.6.1.14.8, unlocked and rooted, and would like to install CROMi-Xenogenesis 4.6.1. Is it safe to do so or do I need 10.6.1.14.4 as it's stated in the Cromi-x thread?
It will work fine mate
Thank You Sir!
But do I need to un root before doing the update or? If it is even possible to un root.

If you are rooted you can update fine. Either use ota root keeper or motochopper to reroot as you will lose root during the upgrade process. Also make sure you haven't deleted any Asus system apps or modified them else the ota update process will fail.

Try: Device/storage/emulated/0
The file system on JB 4.2 is driving me mad! Just hate it! The stock file browser just "knows" where to look, but I am used to having control of my file structure and this just sucks!
It's due to the multiple user account option in 4.2 supposedly.... and I don't use that anyway
