Xbox 360 Wireless Controller + Nexus 4? - Nexus 4 Accessories

Yeah, we've heard about sixaxis on Google play for ps3 people and about PowerA's moga pro, but what about the Xbox controller? Can it work with the nexus 4 just like the ps3 one?

Not wirelessly as far as I know, simply because Microsoft uses its own proprietary wireless setup, not just bluetooth.
Can be done cabled though - http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to...ller-to-android-for-console-like-gameplay-si/

Forget the 360 Controller, I'm more interested in the Xbox One controller with Wi-Fi-Direct!

That route needs the Nexus 4 to have USB OTG support which it doesn't have

This one ain't Google's fault. It's Microsoft's. Tons of other Bluetooth-based controllers work just fine with the N4. MS refused to go with an industry standard.

fair enough!

Ya Microsoft uses their own wireless signal or whatever it is called. I got a free xbox 360 a few years back, fast forward a few I wanted to play Assassins Creed 2 on PC because I was behind on the games. Just trying to sync the xbox wireless controller to my pc was a freaking headache and I needed some wireless jack or whatever from Microsoft which they didn't sell anymore unless you buy it together with another controller. Like hell I was going to drop 60 bucks on another controller I don't need. Ended up buying some third party wired controller. I couldn't get my ps3 controller to work with my pc but w/e.
Imagine trying to sync the xbox controller to the phone.....
NO THANK YOU!

Remote game controller

The Zeemote bluetooth remote joystick will work on this phone using the bluez IME app.
The Zeemote is a little small but can be bought on eBay for around £7 including postage.
Here's a video I made using the Zeemote.........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nB_U1_EQKpk

that thing is funny to play with
Thx, Zeemote is really cool!

seem I can keep my PS3 into store room.

OnLive now on android market.

i've just been playing dirt 3 on my xplay through the new OnLive app, and i must admit it was pretty sweet The game seems to play alot better than it does on my PC with OnLive. Maybe because it does not need such a high resolution.
The controls are a bit rubbish at the moment but if we can get Onlive to add xplay pad support it will be amazing
You guys should check the app out and report back what you think.

But we need PLAY control support!

Don't worry it's no big deal
managed to get it on 3g after a few attempts - when I do play now it says controller is required. I tried continue but it later froze during the cut scene and gave an error about being disconnected from onlive network.
How is the quality on 3G for you guys?
What do you do about the controller? I hope Onlive will support xPlay's controlls soon.
I will report back how it works on wifi and with the tablet

Once you have either signed up for it, or signed in with an existing account, just Sit back and wait, and they will send you an email confirming it should be in "my games" section, the next time you log onto the service.
My email took about an hour or so to come through, but I had already logged back on again, and it was there.

Gameboy Advance emulator with Linkcable?

i know there are many threads about gameboy emulators. But i wanted to start a thread about a gba emulator that can emulate linkcable. I heard of nes emulators that can usw multiplayer per BT/wifi (don#t know how it works). If there is anybody who can create a gba emulator that can emulate a linkcable i would also pay for it or credit him per paypal. i think many people would do the same and are interested in this.

I think I read somewhere that link cable support for gba is just not feasible/possible due to the way it works. It was coming from an actual developer, which is why I stopped looking for this entirely. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
I think he mentioned that there are megabytes of data almost randomly transferred at any moment in time and there's little to no latency allowed. So it's very unlikely that this will be supported anytime soon
From what I gathered, a link cable session is something entirely different from a multiplayer game with multiple controllers plugged into the console. In the latter case you essentially just push the input values over the net and accept what little latency there is. In case of the link cable, whole portions of the game rom are transferred and everything has to be in tight sync.
But... I'm just talking out of my ass. I remember this from back when I was looking for this precise feature. It might or might not be true.

Honestly wireless communication should be possible but may vary depending on device hardware. The PSP has a gba emu and a sneak one that supports wireless linking. It Even has an adhoc file stranger program to send files to other psps via adhoc to each other which also would be great for our phones. What wee really need is for someone to start porting this kind of stuff. It is possible just not reallly attempted.

If you look on the computer side of things, linkcable supporting GBA emus aren't really polished and it took a big while before they were even available/working. While I don't know the specifics myself of linkcable sessions, I'd back you up with what you said which is pretty much what I read myself.

MAME4droid
Thank you Darunion ..... yes , Im sure i can find some ROM's all on my own lol
BUT if anyone can suggest any better android emulators please feel free to add them
:highfive:
Well I am also looking for good emulators as well. I had Gameboid on my Infuse but when I use it on my Tab, I really do not like it as much. I'm looking for some really good emulators to play snes, GBA, N64, etc... I know i cant post where to find roms, I'm pretty sure I can find roms on my own.
Also is there a better Emulator to play arcade games other than MAME?
MAME comes in two flavours, one which uses the more recent .139 core which offers a wider range of games to play, however mileage may vary.
As far as i know there are no other arcade emulators in development for the Android format, although i have been away from the emulation scene for about a year now i have been an avid user and fan from the mid 90s, following both Console, Computer and Arcade emulation from the days of 'Shark', 'Sparcade' and 'Hive'.
If, however, you are looking for other systems, then perhaps you would like to try Frodo which covers the Commodore computers and offers excellent compatability.
You also have Marvin, which is an excellent ZX Spectrum/128 emulator - Marvin actually hooks upto WOS - world of Spectrum and allows you to play the games direct on your Tab.
And if you fancy a real trip, Colem is a great CBS Colecovision emulator.
Tl;Dr but check www.roms4droid.com

It 'can' be done with the Icade which was originally released for the Apple Ipad.
Effectively it turns the tablet into a mini arcade cabinet with, what looks like a mini Wico joystick and buttons et al.
It looks fantastic although i have never actually used one.
