Could someone please recommend a decent headset with microphone that won't break the bank? Wired or bluetooth doesn't matter really. I want a set that has good sound, that answers calls well, and won't break in 2 months. Thank you very much.
I have the lg tone+ I love them. Awesome battery life, and very comfortable.

I have a set of JLab J3M. The sound quality is great. The fit is great. the no-tangle cord really does not tangle. The microphone is pretty decent on them. They have several other models that would no doubt do the trick.

One of the first U.S. loudspeaker companies, has been building premium speakers since 1946. This company has history.
Take this one
Here is nothing about design. Everything about sound.
Thank you for the replies!
I use the Plantronics Marque 2. People on the other end can't tell I'm on a Bluetooth unless my coworkers around me are getting loud, then the noise cancellation kicks in and I begin to echo on the other caller's end. The headset does really well in my car too.

Is it functioning perfectly with Nexus 4? Any cons u came across?
I am also looking for a budgeted Bluetooth headset in market for my Nexus 4.. Can't decide really. The reviews are so different for all.
It works perfectly with my One X, But not tested on the Nexus 4, it must.
Hummm for cons I don't know, it depends if you want to listen to music and call all the day it's 7-8 hours in call battery.
But very fast to connect, impressive.
I like it

I just picked this up a few days ago. Its very nice... Good bass too for a TINY little speaker... I have yet to try out the handsfree.
I used it while washing my car.. it was loud and very clear even at max volume, no distortion at all.. price was good too $39.99CAD.. with taxes your looking at $44.79.
Im going camping next month and though it would be good to get a little speak to listen to music. Definitely better then the speaker on the N4...
Just to give you an idea of how big this is, put it beside a 42g Reese Stick bar..
This is definitely worth the money if you need something good and tiny. Pairing was quick also.
Thanks for the information. It is a nice looking speaker in a small package.
I was wondering what is the actual battery life at max volume? The ratings of 4.5 hours seem very optimistic.
Also when you said this thing is loud, is it loud enough that one could listen to the news while in the shower with the water running? (I don't mean to take into the shower as its not waterproof but just to have the in the bathroom.
I was just thinking about it when I took a shower last night..
But I think it be good volume, if I was able to hear to clearly while washing my car and cleaning inside.. it was placed inside the garage...
Today I opened my shiny new Jaybird Bluebuds X and going through the manual, I ran into this little feature:

There's an app that can read the battery level on Plantronics headsets, why is there no app that can do this for others? Windows Phone apparently is able to read this too. The only big Bluetooth Headset battery app for Android calculates it based on connection time. I was never able to use it properly with my older Jaybird Freedom headphones because I was always losing the data and/or forgetting to run it to start tracking the usage.
I know this is a Nexus 5 thread, but I'm just wondering if anyone has found a way to get this on Android, or would be interested in getting a bounty going. I'll be happy to pledge some money towards this, being pretty much clueless about app development.
It's not that big of a deal, but the battery warning on these Jaybirds is very annoying, beeping constantly when it's about to run out. Nothing that a consistent charging schedule can't fix, and with a regular micro USB connector, a quick charge in the car will keep them charged up.
I'm just sad that we're missing on a tiny but cool feature.
Just noticed we got a new OEM earbuds with this phone. IMO they have way more bass and definitely get louder.

They're the same as the S7 series but yeah, they're dope!

Yeah at first when I saw the pics with the S7 launch I thought they just copied Apple, but as soon as I tried them... screw it... they sound MUCH better! :good:
They are ok, better than before. I'm not an apple fan , but i really like their headphones. Just better, thats about it. lol
i agree they are nice accessory that comes with them. No surprise, they are also from the S7 . Least they are better than their previous versions. I was shocked they felt surprisingly comfortable and I have cauliflower ear from wrestling so ear buds are usually difficult. I'm glad they are free. I'm not a fan of wired headphones in general but these will workout great for some poker sessions when I dont feel like lugging my beats wireless.
I must be missing something? They are junk. I've tried both sizes and they just sit in my ear. Fall out very easily. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

Hi everyone, i just joined the Mi 10t lite team, what are the best headphones i can use with this phone. I need mic. and buttons to work. Can i use Samsung AKG headphones or should i go with xiaomi ones ?
DAC is quite decent, I'd say that you can use whichever headphones you like. There is no annoying hissing noise with sensitive IEMs and volume is high enough for "standard" mobile headphones (low-mid impedance).
There are some fancy audio effects in stock ROM which in theory should sound good (especially hearing loss compensation), but unfortunately they distort the sound too much and I just prefer using "hifi sound" (it bypasses all audio effects) with Viper4android to fine tune the sound a little.
I use the DT 770 Pro (80 ohm) and they work quite fine, but they lack a bit of bass, I'd say that anything below 65ohm will do the trick.
But you're totally fine with 80ohm.

JBL. I never have some bad experience with this brand. I like JbL with wires ,old school . I also have Bluetooth some QCY, but it's not so good like JBL. They have the best bass.. Bluetooth is for me expensive so I used wired but I will soon changed for Bluetooth...
Try JBL you will don't regret.
