Hmm, I'm not sure what I think of this... Handtec have done this before and then pulled the handsets from their site in the past.

Received pre-order phones prior to launch due vendor mistake?

Greetings everyone, this is my first thread in this forum. If i were to classify, this thread belongs to "consumerism" category.
Recently, I ordered a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 set on 14th Jan, and received it on 15th Jan which coincidentally still within the preorder timeframe from 6th jan to 15th jan. By right, i should have received the phone from 25th onwwards.
Just today, the vendor called me to inform that the phone was supposed to be their demo set, and they asked me to return the handset after which they will hand me another new set.
Question: Should I keep the phone or should I return and wait for another set?

I suggest you to just return the handset and wait for the another one. As they calling it as a demo device.
