[Q] Copying contacts to 100's of sim cards - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I have to copy 2-3 contacts onto hundreds on sim cards.
Ideally im looking for a product that I can insert a sim card (preferably before it is removed from the credit card sized plastic holder) and copy the 2-3 contacts onto a sim manager, then simply insert a black sim, and have the device copy the few contacts across to it.
I have about 700 to do, which is why I prefer to use a device that will accept the full size card (before removing the standard/micro sim card)
Thanks in advance.

My keyboard is SWITCHED? - Please respond!

So I decided to buy the used, unlocked Fuze that I posted my question about earlier (in another post). Now that I've started to use this phone, I realized something weird about it... The keyboard that's on the phone doesnt match what it's typing out... FOR EXAMPLE.. there is not the numerical row at the top, however when I used the top row (which has only symbols, etc) it DOES TYPE the NUMBERS... can i configure this, or did somebody replace the keyboard...
It also has a black circle on the back inside of the phone that says VOID!!... I'm thinking that his phone might have been wet before? or not..
PLEASE RESPOND... ANY HELP WILL BE GREAT (don't tease me..)
EDIT: Here is what's going on with my keyboard..
This is the keyboard on my Fuze (standard At&t keyboard).

This is what ACTUALLY types out when I use my keyboard (mainly the # keys and SYMBOLS are different).
Im guessing a Stock TP rom flashed to a fuze. Get total commander, then navigate to \\plugins>registry>HKLM>HARDWARE>DEVICEMAP>KEYBD>CWSLayout and change the value to 1
Jaszek,
thanks for the response.. I'm very unexperienced with hacking/modding phones, and I'm not sure where to find "total commander", and I don't know how to do that in my settings. Do you think you could help walk me throught it.. or point me to a webpage
thanks.

You're going to need to use your USB cable or microSD card to get the CAB file onto your phone. Once it's installed and running, navigate to \\plugins>registry>HKLM>HARDWARE>DEVICEMAP>KEYBD>C WSLayout and change the value to 1.
Whats a safe site to download this file, and also.. can I put the .cab file anywhere on the micro sd card (or through the usb cable) or do I need to have it somewhere specific?
Thanks again guys (or gals).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474192
download the one that says fuze keyboard cab just copy the cab anywhere on your phone or micro sd
then click it in file explorer let it install and your keyboard will be fine
you may have to soft reset (hit the button on the bottom with the stylus)
PROBLEM SOLVED.. THANK YOU SO MUCH... lbhocky19 you're a bad motha'...

[Q] Does anyone know what tablet this is?

I got a tablet from someone, but I don't know what brand or type it is.
Images go here but no resize or links are supported?
So scroll down for pics.
It has a logo, which (I think) says MIO, however it is a different logo than the MIO I can find on Google.
Google Goggles doesn't know what brand it is either.
Additional info:
Android 2.0 or 2.1 (custom by a company)
10 inch
3 Buttons: Power, Home and Back
Power input
2x Mini-USB input
3.5 Jack
T-F (microSD)
an unknown slot (10x1mm)
another unknown slot (15x1mm) with a switch next to it.
None of them is for Mini Sim, (possibly for microSIM?)
I would like to install an Android OS or Ubuntu on it, so if someone knows if I can that info would also be much appreciated.

This is a "no-name" china-made.
Thanks!
Are there any guides on how to put a new Android rom or Ubuntu on it? Or is this not possible?
Rather it is not possible on this "tablet".

The company is called mid. Yours may be the model discussed at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592554 but unless you can go into settings on tab and see how much ram it has or the cpu it is difficult to guess which model.
If you can identify how much ram and internal storage it has you should be able to narrow down details using google.

Thanks a lot for the info.
Unfortunately I can't view settings in the custom ROM that is installed.
It also looks different on the image. But it helps in the search

[Q] SD Card Fills Up Too Fast

I have a question for everyone.
Are you guys having problems with the internal sd card on your one s?
My sd card gets filled up really quick. I dont have alot on it. Only About 2.6gb of Music & 1gb of Videos
Thats all... The MAX I have is about 4GB with some roms and gapps etc.
If you guys had this issue before how did you guys fix it?
I just barely re-formated my sd card to fat 32 on my mac.
Thanks in advanced

I've been in the same spot. I didn't think I put much stuff on my phone and kept running out of space. Then I found an app from the playstore called "Disk Usage." It's a graphical representation of your phones storage so you can actually see what's taking up space. In my case it's almost always forgetting to delete old back ups. You should try it.
Check it out.

[Q] SIM card only intermittently recognized

I purchased a Global GSM 16 GB Moto G from Amazon back in January, and have been using it purely as a WiFi device these past months. I bought it to use as a travelling phone, as I already have a phone but needed something unlocked to use when on trips. I am in Mexico for a month and have been having trouble getting a local SIM card (from a company called Movistar) to work with the phone. They only had full sized SIM cards nearby, and I didn't want to travel an hour to pick up a Micro SIM, but I had brought along a SIM card cutter just in case, and quickly trimmed it down.
I popped it in and the phone quickly recognized it and picked up signal. I tested sending and receiving messages, calling and receiving calls, all with no problems. However, the next morning I saw that the phone had disconnected and was no longer recognizing the SIM card. I did the usual restart, which worked for an hour, then I had to resort to taking the card out, cleaning the contacts, and putting it back in. It worked for another couple hours, then quit again. Whatever I try it tells me my SIM card is invalid or doesn't recognize it anywhere from a couple seconds to a couple hours after I insert it. I have tested the card in an old unlocked RAZR V3 with one of the Micro to normal SIM adapters included with the SIM cutter and it works just fine, with no connection problems even after a couple days of use.
This leads me to believe that the problem lies within the software of the Moto G itself. After a bit of research it seems like this might be a problem with Kit-Kat. I've checked the SIM contacts inside the phone with a flashlight for damage (though I'm very careful with my tech) and they all appear to be just fine. I've attached a screenshot of my lock screen with evidence of the "Invalid SIM" message highlighted in orange.
I would appreciate any help figuring this out!

same things happen to me also.
when I cut down a normal sim to micro . some days itss working then same invalid sim problem.
only solution to re insert sim.
At this point my phone will reject my SIM card every couple minutes to every couple hours. Sometimes it will not even recognize it immediately after a SIM re-insertion cycle. Right now it's pretty much unusable as a cellphone.

"Slot has been permanently blocked"

I flashed a custom ROM and the on first screen my device asked to insert the PIN code, then i tried more than two times and it showed "Slot has been permanently blocked". I could't make any phonecalls And when i flashed my stock ROM it works normal.
Do you know how to unlock the SIM slot?
Thank you very much.
Device: Blu vivo IV (Gionne s.5.5) chipset 6598
Custom ROM: Lolifox V6
---------------------------------
If you truly believe the device is stolen or has otherwise been acquired through illegitimate means, we can't help you - you should contact the authorities and have the seller investigated. Stealing is a crime and stolen IMEIs are blocked for that very reason.
If not, first check that the phone supports the network frequencies that your carrier uses wherever you are - not all phones support all bands, and not all carriers support all bands either.
If you can tell us the make and model of the phone, we can point you to a device-specific forum in case it's a general problem or issue with that phone model.
Beyond that, you can try to take up with the manufacturer of the phone or the carrier if it's a carrier-branded phone.
I once had to make numerous called to my carrier's support line because my new imported phone was somehow registered in my carrier's database as a completely different kind of device, so the system kept kicking me off the data plan."

My device was not stolen, i bought it recently, if you guys want i could post the photography of the box.
I live in BRAZIL (BLU IV) and i am trying to install a custom room for a device which's made for INDIA(GIONE s5.5), the device, it self, is the same, what changes its the "software".I saw a video on youtube that someone from USA installed the same custom ROM and didn't get any problem.
I am apologies for this good English sirs.
If you enter the wrong PIN more than three times, the "slot" gets blocked and you can't use your SIM to connect to the network anymore. Newly bought SIM cards come inside one bigger card on which your PUC is written on. For security purposes, SIM cards require this code to be entered if they get locked down.
