[Q] Evita is bootlooping, won't go back into TWRP - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

The title tells all... essentially I went to install a ROM, and boom. Just boot loops the HTC dev warning screen. I am able to get into my bootloader but I can't get into TWRP recovery. I also just got a Mac Book and I am not able to connect via fastboot. I think I may be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure. Could I have some input on my predicament?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I created a guide on how to fix this issue. You can head on over to Team Nocturnal's XsMagical's Thread to see it.
Edit 2: Above thread was removed so I created one here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441121

You'll have to reflash recovery using fastboot.
Unfortunately, I don't know about getting fastboot to work on mac...

I was able to actually finally get into TWRP but now I can't mount internal storage. And I'm not familiar with flashing roms from computers outside internal/external storage...
Guess I will learn shortly ha!

Should I have? I didn't... anyways... how can I make it so I can mount my internal storage so I can just restore one of my backups? Or install a different rom without the need of using internal storage through fastboot or adb?

It shows up as nothing. The only things I can mount is /data/ and /system/. And those don't come up as anything. However in my disk utility app on my mac it shows that my phone has 10GB of storage and it recognizes what it is.

I am going to find a way by using the Nocturnal method. I'll update as I can.

How were you able to get into TWRP? I am experiencing a similar problem to you. I have a looping HTCdev screen and cannot fastboot TWRP because it keeps saying "waiting for device" when i try. Any help would be appreciated.

press and hold power. THe capacitive buttons will blink a bunch of times then the screen will go black. When it does, let go of power and press and hold volume down until bootloader comes up.

The problem I had is that I needed to reflash TWRP via fastboot. Make sure you have fastboot and HTC drivers.

Turns out that the thread has been deleted so I created a thread here.

Can't factory reset. I'm stuck here, help?

Heres the deal
Flashed MIUI, and im getting an unmountable/unavailable SD card problem. Cant mount to my PC either.
I tried using the RUU to go back to stock, getting errors. Tried factory resetting via CWM, but its giving my SD card mount problems as well. Tried factory resetting via phone settings. Phone just reboots.
Im stuck here, and I have no idea what to do.
You need to relock bootloader to flash the RUU.

Yes do that. Also I had issues with some Ruus not working with some drivers, kept gettin error 150 or maybe 140... Anyway I changed adb drivers and it worked. Don't get frustrated just yet.. We'll get u back
Also what about partition sd card in CWM? Don't know if it's there, should be. If not, install twrp and partition sd card from there.

So I just unlocked my friends boot loader and rooted his phone, all a success. He was on stock ICS ota, I flashed a cm9 nightly and gapps and it stays on cm9 boot screen animation and does nothing. I can still get into recovery but forgot to do a nandroid and don't have another ROM on it. I reflashed cm9 twice and still stays on boot screen. What do I do?

Ok so I would just use that stock ICS ROM given with extra one then instead of hitting flash boot.img hit flash "the name of the ROM"? And also it says USB debugging must be on but how do I turn that on when the phone doesn't boot? I know these are a lot of annoying questions but I must fix his phone like I said I'll donate.

With 4EXT,you can also use "Smartflash" to install the ROM.

Hey.. Btw.. For you to do the extra 1 step.. Usb debugging is not required..
See in the steps of the guide
adb commands are used.. To go to bootloader (adb commands only require.. Usb debugging)
What you do is skip the adb commands.. And you manually go to bootloader.. That's all
Rest of commands will work from bootloader

[Q] Phone is stuck on boot loop and pc won't recognize it.

I have installed Android Revolution HD 12 but haven't installed a JB firmware and now my phone is stuck on boot loop.. I've tried to recover to the RUU from the restore but it's stuck on boot loop too, and I can't do anything about it; I can access the bootloader easily but it's useless because my pc won't recognize my phone now and I can't use any cmd commands/transfer files to my sd card/access the sd card.
What can I do?
Factory reset. Plug it in, let computer reformat the sd card. Then try to transfer the correct Rom...

Phone not working!!!

I'm not sure if this is the right section or not, sorry if it's not, but my phone is really screwed up. I have the htc one S on T mobile that is running the viper one s rom on cwm 10 and will just go to a black screen after displaying the htc screen. I don't have any nandroid backups or copies of working roms either, so I can't boot from those. I did not have USB debugging checked before my phone became corrupt, so I'm pretty sure that ABD will not work, and whenever I try and plug my phone into the computer and access the flash boot menu, it will say that the USB is corrupt and it will not work. The cause of this is because I was messing with the build.prop, I accidentally deleted it, although I have a backup, there is no way if installing it in my phone's current state. It's getting to the point where I honestly don't care if I lose al of my stuff just as long as my phone will work again. Any knowledge shared on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Recovery and fastboot and that's about it.
Get a micro sdcard or if you have one already, get a micro sdcard reader, open case from back of your phone and take out the microsdcard.
Put it in the card reader. Copy the rom/image... put the card back in... boot in recovery... use the rom from sdcard to flash that rom.
Have fun..

Can't mount corrupted internal sd

Hi all. I was trying to install android revolution on my Rogers one x and something went wrong while flashing the ROM. It does not show up as a removable drive when in twrp and connected to my PC. I have done a search on this forum and can not find a solution. I have lost my backups that were in the SD. I know it is possible to reformat as I have done this I this before. Can anyone give me directions or provide a link to them. Thanks

Well, I had that yesterday. I rebooted into Cwm recovery, connected the phone to my PC with the USB cable, and went to mount SD Card in Cwm. The drive appeared on windows and I could reformat it.
When I plug mine into the pc and press mount while in twrp it does not show up. I am stumped.

Your first problem is that you're flashing a ROM that isn't meant for this device, you've been wandering into the wrong forum, make sure you stay in the one you're posting in now.
Try using the advanced wipe feature of TWRP to wipe the sd card, which should format it.

Thanks for your reply. I should have clarified. I was trying to flash ARHD 4.18.401.3 which is supposed to be a stock Rom for the evita. I downloaded it from the I did an advanced wipe but it still does not show up on my pc.

No that's what I'm saying, there is no ARHD for Evita, only for Endeavoru. You're getting your phone HTC One XL/at&t One X (Evita) mixed up with the HTC One X (Endeavoru), they're completely different devices. You're lucky you didn't brick. Try flashing CWM recovery instead.

Hi all. I am still having no luck getting my evita recognized by my pc so I can mount it. I get a beep from the pc when I plug it in, in bootloader mode. I have reinstalled abd and htc sync to get the drivers. it appears to recognize my device while it is checking the media on it, but when it is complete it says no phone attached. I even deleted htc sync and just left the drivers, but still no joy. I just don't get it. My m7 is recognized on my pc, so I would imagine that the drivers are there. When my evita is off and I push power and volume down to get into bootloader, the capacitive buttons do not flash like they used to. Can anyone offer any information? I wonder if someone would be able to help me over Team viewer? I feel so lost. Never had these problems with my m7. Thanks.
The button lights only flash while using the button combo while the phone is already turned on, if the device is switched off it just boots into the bootloader without any flashing lights. As for why your device isn't being recognised, it's really difficult to troubleshoot without actually having access to the device and the PC.

My device was still not able to mount on my PC but I was able to flash a ROM via an otg cable. Today I managed to achieve s-off with firewater and then super-cid. I am overjoyed. Thanks to all who helped. Have to figure out how to change status to solved.
