This literally just happened to me...
My phone is now hard bricked and i haven't been able to fix it yet.
Don't try to Reflash the rom because that is what finished mine off i think.

Nope, the brickdetect.sh script for unbricking isn't detecting my phone, even though i can get my phone into QHUSB_DLOAD mode.

Dude you probably flashed 1.17 firmware for unlocking the phone (sim unlock?)
Then you should flash back 3.33 after unlock is done.. And that's mentioned in the instructions kgs given!

Custom Unlocked Lock Icon On Start Up and OTA Updates

Okay, so I recently noticed that there was an icon that said "Custom" and it was an unlocked lock on my start up. And, when I try to do an OTA update, it fails. I even flashed the stock recovery. And, when I try to install custom ROM's, it says something like "Error 7, installation aborted."

Well i'm almost 100% sure that all roms now require an unlocked bootloader, so by unlocking it and flashing a custom recovery you should be able to flash roms and it'll make the custom icon go away as well.

If your already rooted just download EZ Unlock from the market and it'll do it with the press of a button I advise flashing a custom recovery first though.

U should flash the OTA from 1 of the "OTA threads" here. It's safer & u won't lose root.

that would be safe general rule now, do all your backing up, flashing, etc, by manually booting into recovery first, that's the only sure fire way to make sure it gets flashed on okay. I don't even keep rom manager on my phone anymore and i used to use it religiously on previous phones.

[Q] HTC One S has no OS bootlooping with cwm installed

Hey guys, I was trying to install cm 10 and it would not install. It kept telling me that the installation failed, I cleared all my caches/data etc using CWM than I backed up my trickdroid rom but when I tried to recover it, it failed. Now it wont access the SD Card, and its bootlooping.
I'm with Fido here in Canada I don't if that helps, but definitely need some help here!
How do I reset this, so I can install a new rom.

I had also faced the boot loop problem while shifting to Vipers 5 from CM 9. Then I realized I had forgotten to enable smart flash.
Following are the steps
1. enable smart flash
2. Perform full wipe
3. Format everything except sd-card
4. install from sd-card

From your bootloader you could first try clearing the cache, if that doesn't work the only other thing I can think of is to try to do a factory reset
