[Q] unlock app from google play?

I have previously been able to disconnect apps from the market so that they wouldn't update (with titanium). Now that google has changed from "Market" to "Google Play" I'm getting update notices again, even though the app is disconnected from market. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

Have you tried turning it off in the "play" settings...the notification unchecked??

bigjoe , do you know what 'internal market error' means when purchasing apps. i can't purchase apps from g play! what the deuce !!!

From what I have seen and did experience twice...possible to do with purchases pending...apps being unmanageable according to google...idk sound like bs...
1st time... what i did was cleared the data play app...rebooted...that worked...
2nd time...I just log on to play via my puter...and installed or purchased the apps...i was looking for...been good since then
I apologize for not being more precise in my answers... just what I have experience...

It's not set to update automatically, but I get a notification from Google Play when there's an update. In titanium I used to be able to "disconnect" an app from the market and then I wouldn't get an update for that app. That setting in titanium is still checked, but recently my "Market" vanished and was replaced by something called "Google Play". Now I'm getting updates again and titanium has no seting to disconnect apps from "Google Play".
I'm not sure what notification box your referring to, unless you thought I have auto update turned on. That's not the issue. Thanks for your reply!

In the setting of play ...there is a notification box that can be unchkd...so you wont get update notifications...open play hit menu settings..kk

do you think it's to do with the new market.have you guys come across any fback about this. i can download free apps and i didn't get any 'purchase is stuck/ still pending notification! Google the slimy TWATS haven't responded to help requests!!

LoL that means your log on...active in the forums... so if you browse thru the forums you will notice who is log on by green or if your ROM is themed it may be a different color ..green basic color..

ohhh! thanks for that man. I've got the xda app and when i subscribe to a post i can choose the notification time ie this week ,.today , immediately. but when i chooser the last one (notify me immediately) nothing happens!
there's no alarm found etc ? what id the notifications g for buddy. SMS why don't i receive the 'immediate' notify. is my xda app not working. ps i'm a nooby lol

Open the xda app... click menu button to the left of your home button on phone...click more....then settings ...look for notifications...there you can turn it on...kk

Hmmm I don't use facebook so I'm not sure, but I would try clearing data or even uninstalling it and try again, because I read their whole bug forum and couldn't find any record of problems with facebook.

Did all that, still no luck, it connects me to facebook, lets me authorise the app and then gives error could not connect, please try again later...

Better Facebook App - Update 10/24

All the features of stock Facebook app and then some.. theming and easier navigation, better notifications.. definitely worth checking out!
OLD:
Stumbled upon this searching the forums. I tried it out and so far so good.
"Fast for Facebook" is an app started by an XDA member and it has a couple different themes. It has most of the features the official Facebook app has but the major benefit is battery saving with background processes not running constantly.

I downloaded this app many months ago but at that time many features were missing. It seems like there's been a lot of progress so I'll give it another shot. I didn't know someone from XDA made it.

Yeah I ended uninstalling after a day of use. It has made a lot of progress but still not worth replacing the original FB app.

There has been a ton of progress to the app. I thoroughly hated it months ago but now it stands as a decent competitor to the official app. The only real thing I don't like is no push notifications, but I check FB often enough for that not to matter.

try flipster..i ve been using it for a while and its quite good. no frills approach to fb

I recently tried Fast and Flipster, and quickly started getting a bunch of spam email from random Yahoo email addresses, spoofed with the names of my Facebook friends.
Maybe just a coincidence, but seemed pretty fishy to me.

Nice! I just uninstall the Official FB app for Flipster. Works great reminds me of Plume for Twitter.

I've been running it for about 6 months, I guess from Gingerbread to Jellybean, and it's worked fine. I like how it shows the posts more than my computer browser.

I remember using this app like last year 2011 where it shows you nearby social updates? i dont know.
I could recall seeing youtube uploads made by people nearby in the map. Or something .

If you've downloaded it before with the same google account you can check in the playstore under myapps> all. Theres a list there of all the apps you have ever downloaded on that account.

New Google play store 4

As I'm sure you're all aware that Google has been working hard on a redesigned app store well today was there first release in the u.s only eventually everyone will get it and kindly some one has uploaded it to Android police so check the link below and see what you reckon....
Not everything is completed as you would except only the u.s has the full version for the moment....

Pretty sure there's nothing missing here in NZ, we don't get anything except the bare minimum anyway. Go on holiday to Australia and suddenly the play store is an amazing place...

When you say that's all you're getting, you can't browse any of those sections? As NZ has only apps it takes me straight in to "Top Paid" section.

Im a new be when it comes to rooting and flash.
iv just rooted my GS3 and installed the new Google play store, how ever why is the front page plain? And will I get updates from google now that iv rooted my GS3?
And is it possible to download the previous Google play store which I find alot better.
Please help some one.
