Hi,
You have access to bootloader,so,you are not bricked.
If you are unlocked and have access to bootloader, then, look HERE
Install the 4 EXT recovery, use the "Format all partitions except sd card" option in recovery.
Root the phone.
Then, use the "Smartflash" option to install a fresh ROM of your choice.
Thank You

If you wish to stay on Android 2.3.5/Sense 3.0 then you can unlock the bootloader using the procedure at HTCDEV.com and then follow this procedure to install CWM recovery and add su-3.0.xxx.zip to root the ROM.
Beware that by following the bootloader unlock procedure at HTCDEV.com, HTC has you acknowledge that by using this procedure is could void your warranty.

After you unlock the bootloader and install ClockworkMod recovery, you can perform a full 'nandroid' backup which will create a backup of your current ROM before being rooted. This will give you a point to restore back to if you need it.

I used a HTC desire s... HTCdev bootloader unlocked s-on and rooted ...
This morning, was checking google play when i found a FONT INSTALLER app. i decided to try it. After installation, i opened it to use a font on their server, i backed up the stock font. after applying the font, my phone freezed up so i decided to restart maybe dat would fix it.
I rebooted and my fone got stucked at the "HTC quietly brilliant" bootscreen... i tried doing factory reset. I loaded bootloader then selected factory reset. i was directed to 4ext. I didnt get the reset cos it keeps stucking up at the same screen. So i decided to wipe.. I selected the "WIPE ALL PARTITION XCEPT SD CARD" :'(
...
Now my Phone doesnt boot up. After the first "HTC (without the quietly brilliant)" shows up... the screen goes dark till....
....
Pls i need help on how to put my phone back on.
GURUs in the house PLEASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Funny problem you have
What it shall boot? You have wiped everything from it, so there are no files.
I guees you have not make a Nandroid backup, so copy some ROM to your SDcard and flash it from 4EXT.
DO NOT forget to flash the boot.img afterwards

Tanks for your reply..
But pls can u make it clearer. I don have any backup... The only backup i have are my apps, non for the system files.
I can also get the RUU ICS ROM i downloaded from HTCdev. Can i do something with this? Thanks,
If you was on ICS go here and skip right to B) section.
If you was on GB go here and pick the version you was before. As if you was on Sense 2.1 you would flash RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_signed_prerooted. If you was on Sense 3.0 then your pick will be HTC_Europe_2.10.401.8_deodexed_prerooted
Or just flash a custom ROM, there is plenty of choise. I would recommend Desire XS

Well Allah has nothing to do with my nickname, but thank you anyway since I believe all religions worship the same God.
And it is not booting because you have missed an important step:

Copy the ROM from your Sdcard to the PC. Open it and extract the boot.img that you will find inside. Then flash it with a command from your PC (you can search the forum how exactly).
And if still does not boot then you will be one of the lucky guys with the Hitachi panel so you will have to try a Sense ROM. Download, flash through the recovery, flash the boot.img as described above

I am using it for some time now I had no bugs, reboots. You can read the feedback of the users in the ROM's thread and then decide.
Just remember: when you are S-ON you have to flash the boot.img separately from fastboot for ANY new ROM that you are installing!

It would not because you have to lock the bootloader first. Better go back to post #4 and read the first line again. It will save you the trouble to unlock and flash a recovery again.

i was going to unroot my phone which i have followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173931. However, i am stuck with the error 43 which saying that "Your device is S-ON & you are trying to use an RUU that has software number less than your current software number." And now, i am unable to access to the recovery, nor any rom. I think it is because i have relocked my bootloader through all the unrooting process. Any solution for me to reopen my phone or something? really have no idea...

So, do you know how to solve the question?if I flash a custom rom that is lower than the ruu software number, can it solve the problem. And, can ruu be flashed on butterfly without unrooting it? So that, i can unroot it after I flashed the ruu rom.

Feel sorry to ask you some questions again because I am still new to these kind of stuffs. As for the stock recovery, I did something about recovery which was twrp recovery. According to your guide, does that mean I am required to flash this stock recovery via fast boot, and extract the backup file. Then, flash the boot.img via fast boot. After that, I can pull the plug out, and install the backup zip file. Is it?? Btw, appreciate your help really much.
No, you install the nandroid backup with TWRP or CWM, the boot.img included in fastboot mode and the original recovery after.

Hi guys...Im all out of ideas, and I don't know where else to turn. I know I was supposed to look every where, and even ask my mother..but that only would have gotten me chancla slapped. Anyway...Here is the issue: I bought an HTC Butterfly clone. I have looked high and low, for ways to root it, but I cant seem to find something that will even remotely work! The mass storage option is greyed out, so I can't connect it to my pc. I cant boot in bootloader mode, I have tried this since about 5:30 pm today, and Ive yet to see the bootloader mode come up. I have rooted phones before, but this time I am TOTALLY stumped! This cell is a dual sim quad core version. Here are the details (as much as I can give you any way): PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME ROOT!
MODEL:I900
ANDROID VERSION: 4.1.1
BASEBAND VERSION: MTK6589 (Quad Core)
KERNERL VERSION: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #3
SOFTWARE VERSION: X920e_v1
HARDWARE VERSION: 1.1.0
And, I dont know if this info helps any..but, In the keyboard settings, I see komoxo input method? Geez, at this point anything may be it!
Thank you so much for your help, and once again, I apologize for posting on this thread, but I did not find where else to post..

Your device is now stuck at the bootscreen .. Can you tell us in a detailed way as what you did with your phone ?
Did you try to root the device or flash any custom rom without unlocking the boot loader or installing twrp or cwm recovery ?
thanks for answering

Okay don't worry we are here to help you..
Just follow this thread to flash a new rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2034264
If you still can't understand the method in the above mentioned thread just use a toolkit..
Download the Nexus Toolkit by Wugfresh and follow the instruction to flash factory image of Nexus ..
You can root, flash factory images, unlock and relock bootloader with this tool..
If you haven't installed the adb and fastboot drivers there is a option for installing driver in that tool kit ..
Here is the link for the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984858
Need any help in using this toolkit just reply back via this thread :good:

If that method didn't work, my suggestion would be to take it to HTC service center and get it repaired or replaced.
