How to remove any screen scratches? Is it possible? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The title says it all my lil dog stepped on my scratch leaving a scratch, minor but when screen is off is notable. Any clue?

There's a display polish out there you can try, I used it on a "dumb phone" back in the days with great results (and a bit of work).
http://www.amazon.com/Displex-Display-Scratch-Remover-screens/dp/B00355WCWG was the one I used. And of course, use at your own risk since wrong handling might make it worse.

You could try a screen protector but the damage is done and I would never try to polish it because there is a coating on the glass and this may happen

The damage is done, I would just accept the scratch and move on. I've never seen anyone with luck getting scratches out without the screen looking worse overall. Get a screen protector and use it. Protectors aren't a perfect solution, but as they get scratched, you can easily replace them. I actually found I like the feeling of the one on my Note. It gives just enough friction to simulate drawing on paper.

Testament to Otterbox Commuter Case - Dog Attack [PICS]

Today my boyfriend, dad, and I were all trying to save a two day old kitten who was stuck in vinyl siding. Of course, this was a stressful (and very long) ordeal, so I wasn't really paying attention to where I left my phone. During a break from the rescue, my boyfriend found my phone on the ground and said "uh oh." Turns out I had left it on a bar chair outside and this awful bloodhound/shepherd mix drop off made a point to get it and try to chew it to death.
Luckily, I didn't buy a crappy case, and my Inspire 4G is still fully functional and has a few small chew marks and the casing on the bottom bent a little. My Otterbox didn't make it out as great, but it did it's job, and did it well! This dog chews up basketballs and armadillos no problem, so it's a true testament to the quality of this case.
Here are the pictures.

And in case you were wondering about that newborn kitten, it's the topmost one in this picture.

I like mine too, it seems thin but functions very well.
Hmmm I may need to get an otterbox after seeing this. I've had my phone for a year and a half with just a silicone case and no screen protector.
wow i was considering getting this case. this is my next.

Pink Hue On Screen

Just noticed that my SGS3 has a pinkish hue / bleeding on the right hand side of the phone.
Anyone else experience anything like this on theirs?

I can't tell from the picture but do you have any kind of screen protector on? Min sometimes gets an odd color from one but it still doesn't look like that but just something to check.

LCD or other issue?

I dropped my phone the other day and when I picked it up I found this. It works 100% correct for the digitizer. Its all just off.

never seen anything like that
does it do the same in bootloader?
you can test your digitizer in settings>dvelopment>pointer location, if you are sure it works and isnt off like in the picture, you can most likely go replace the lcd, but it could be an issue with its cable/pins too
Yes its the same when it boots and when I unlock it I slide across the center of the screen and all the stuff at the bottom like my texting doesn't show there but I click where it normally is to open them.
I also pulled it apart thinking it may be the connection.
Edit:Idk if it makes any difference but the screen shutters up and down really bad.

It's possible that you damaged the CPU/GPU, or if you're luck it's just your LCD. Hard to say until you try replacing it, but it's a very simple job.
I ordered a new LCD yesterday so I will find out in a few days.

Sounds like a connection got shorted somewhere, especially since the shuddering ifs intermittent.

Cutting a screen protector for the proximity sensor

What method did you use? How did it turn out? Please describe in your post!
You can use and exacto knife. Just use the original protector that came with the phone. Put it on top of the screen protectornamd trace around the cut fornthe proximity sensor.

same thing happened to me.
Very strange, I installed wet apply Xtreme Guard skins on my phone and my gfs. My proximity sensor works no problem. Hers didn't work... I just cut the corner off and I'm gonna apply another.

Might help with people where to cut. Just put it the protector over the screen and make a small mark, then just use a hole punch or whatever.

I bought a galaxy s6 and after a few days i noticed that there was a weird shape near the camera, i could only notice it when light reflects on the back, when i press on it it makes a weird sticker like sound. Is there a protector on it or is it normal? I also noticed that hitting the back of my s6 makes a plasticky sound, tried my friends s6 it made a glass sound.
THEY ARE NOT SMUDGES I COULDNT CLEAN THEM, PRESSING ON THEM MAKES A STICKER SOUND
Could possibly be a replacement back or a fake? The fake's i've seen have sometimes plastic backs.
Going on thread i'd say very dodgy fix or fake.
I dont think its fake, i did some testing. It has a 2560x1440 screen . And an exynos 7420 SoC. I read an article about the differences and it said that fake has 720p screen and its very laggy. My phone isnt laggy, Its super fast.
