[Q] Lockscreen Wallpaper Location - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I have searched everywhere for an answer to this...
ROM: STOCK GINGERBREAD.VUVKJ6
Kernel: Bhundven's Subtly Modified Stock with CWM5 + Voodoo Lagfix
Does anyone know where the current lockscreen wallpaper resides???
I was able to find the current 'wallpaper' in /data/data/com.android.settings/files/ and then copying and renaming the file to wallpaper.jpg
I can't find a similar location for the lockscreen wallpaper.
The file is not in the gallery, and not on the sdcard (and it's removed), I already checked.
Trying to wipe my wife's phone, and I need to first get a copy of the picture (it's the only one).
Any help anyone would provide would be much appreciated!

Need help with samsung puzzle lockscreen (problem solved)

So I remade all of the images from the samsung vibrant "puzzle" lockscreen.I thought I would be able to use root explorer and copy them in to the framework.apk in the system>framework-res.apk>res>drawable-hdpi folder ....
I was able to get the files in the folder, but its still the same lock screen that is standard on bionix 1.3.1
Any help??How should I go about doing this?
Someone PMd me telling me what i was doing wrong... this thread can be deleted.
Thanks!

Widgets?

I did a search.
I am looking for non Android and Samsung widgets.
I go to the widget menu and see nothing but the stock ones.
This means I can't add the weather widget, tweetcaster, etc.
I am using the Octane ROM.
Someone please help.
The easiest way to get those is to run a stock rom, not a custom one. Custom roms generally tend to move away from a Samsung style rom, to a more... true android type build.
Try flashing stock Kj6 (rooted of course). That will come with all of the stock samsung widgets.
Alternatively, you can download the stock kj6 CWM version (the zip one), unzip it, and look in system/apps and take out the apks of the desired widgets. Using root explorer, or something similar like Astro, copy and paste those apks to your phones system/app folder.
I don't recall every seeing tweetcaster though... just BuddiesNow, Feeds and Updates... hope it helps.

[Q] Structure of .deodex files

Hi,
Since non of links in the Team Lamber Corrosion does works (only main download link), I would like to know, what is structure of .deodex files used in your program.
I've got stock JPU right now, and I would like to deodex it using Team Lambert app.
I got a little concept - it's .zip file inside of wich are deodexed .apk without .odex files, and then the name is changed to .deodex
PROGRAM LINK: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161176
I have deodexed the XXJPU by myself with xUltimate
takes a lot of time
why dont you save your time and use an already deodexed XXJPU ROM?
-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18894408&postcount=78
Install the deodexed ROM and use UOT Kitchen for pimping.
Cheers

Well, it says "Wrong sim card", common error with JPU modifications,
doesn't appear in stock JPU.
And as far as i know, it only appears with my operator (never seen someone's post about similar bug)
Well, if you have flashed it with xUltimate, maybe you know the answer to my friends topic (we are both trying to deodex our phones, we both have G3)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1376985
it´s late right now, checking sekhargreen´s commands... on the first sight.. great, but not checked in detail
I have found a script in a german forum which was concepted for i9000, I just took it and modded it for G3 needs.
heres the link for the complete update*.zip which I used for deodexing my XXJPU.
http://www.mediafire.com/?6h5u6157yh402nf
Well...
1. install stock xxjpu
2. install G3 Mod kernel (to use CWM)
I have installed G3mod Kernel 2.3 NON OC
-boot into cwm
-update zip
-choose update file )or something like that, not only update.zip)
toggle for it, agreem, wait for copying the files
have fun!
or take the easy way and use the already deodexed ROM, link given above...
the deodexed ROM above is already rooted... very comfortable way
The choice is up to you both.

Click to collapse
Could you please explain more about above?
to use CWM (clockworkmod) you need a kernel which supports cwm
->I have G3Mod Kernel running
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252698
The way is described in the first posting:
3.2) Select .zip from sdcard
Stock kernel doesnt have CWM.
Just flash the non OC kernel and you have cwm without overclocking. Runs like stock kernel.

Modified framework.apk, but original wallpaper still comes up

Been trying to modify my ROM so I get my own wallpaper in place of the default's. I looked in framework-res.apk, found the offending file and switched it for my own (there was only one copy of the stock wallpaper, in \drawable-sw720dp-nodpi\).
I flashed the ROM and the original stock picture came up.
Is there anywhere else it could be coming from? It'll have to be an .apk file, because there are no copies loose in the ROM itself.
Edit: Okay, it's all academic. Deleted all the wallpaper.apks, including the main program, and it's now working as intended.

[REQUEST] Stock Boot Animation 5.1.1 Flashable Zip for Custom ROMs

Does anyone know how to get the STOCK Sprint boot animation from a stock rom? I've looked on extracting things from our .tar files but nothing clear on boot animations. I just like the stock animation, but want to stay on MOAR.
Any help on how to get it, or if someone could create it, that would be just plain jane awesomesauce.
Thanks,
Mike
assuming the CSC is correct on your rom of choice. The files you are looking for are in /system/media and they are SPR_bootsamsungloop.qmg, SPR_bootsamsung.qmg, and SPR_Shutdown.qmg. Taking a stock tar wont work, find yourself a stock rom, (deodex is fine) and grab the files and replace them and make sure to set permissions and you should be fine.
