I have not encountered this problem ever since I got my phone. Could be a hardware failure or just software.
Info would be helpful:
ROM version
HBOOT
Recovery
etc.
I suggest to factory reset via recovery. I would assume that you know how to go to recovery already (check the forum on how to if you still dont). wipe data and cache.
As the title suggests i am stuck in a boot loop and the volume down button is broken. Do you have any ideas how i might be able to enter recovery and clear the memory to stop the boot loop?
Any help is much appreciated.
SAME !
Dude same problem with me my Galaxy Nexus volume down button not working and stuck in boot loop !
Dude that's a weird issue
I thought when the phone was shutted down and plugged in USB it boots by itself to recovery but I just made the test and it doesn't, it boots directly to the system. Sorry mate I have no idea
Edit : what about let it empty the battery by itself and then run a ruu with phone still shutted down ?
Edit2 : well I didn't see the date of first post.. :silly:

dont drain your battery EVER.
I bricked my HTC because I let the battery drain to much. After that I could not get it to start again. I think the safest thing would be to just unplug the volume key from the motherboard, till a replacement one is found...
Before this,my phone got a problem but it was fixed(bootlooping)
But then about 6 months later a new problem happened,I press the power button,it shows this, then vibrates and freezes....just like that.
I'm not sure if the image is loaded because I had to use my tablet for a while.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? And my phone is not rooted btw.

This is a bootloop issue just like cwm bootloop, your device is soft bricked and you can repair it by flashing the stock firmware of your country using odin, don't worry, see in my signature the way to install your stock firmware(CWM BOOTLOOP FIX)

from an older post i know from a member here that if the phone keeps looping but vibrating (it vibrates every loop) its because the power button is stuck, maybe this helps you

I today got my Zenfone 5 ( A500CG ) on either Android 4.3 or Android 4.4 IDK , actually heres what happened -
I put the device to update and when it was updating , I stupidly was pressing the power up + volume down key ( Im guessing it had effect of just power up , coz bootloader comes wid power up + volume up ) , it then shut down. And BAM , its now hit a frekin bootloop ( I believe it has , coz wen I press power key to turn on , it instead shows ASUS logo , something and then USB logo , all in a 1 second or so )
I'm really pissed with that , and I really am pretty much a noob with Android , so I desperately need help , pls help me. If you know any guide or something , or if you know what I should do , pls let me know.
P.S - In Android Software Recovery , when I wipe data or cache , it just shows some error and it had no effect
And BTW TBH IDK how I got in ASR LOL
PLZ HELP MEEEEEEE
