[Q] Switching between themes - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

So, being a total n00b (I only rooted my first phone 5 days ago), I wondered what would be the easiest way to switch between different themes to try them out? I have MOAR rom (which is awesome) and I picked Wasabi's CobaltOnyx theme during install. I want to try out some of the other themes in that packet. Do I need to return to rooted stock and then reinstall MOAR and pick a different theme? Or can I just switch between themes like I did with Go Launcher before I rooted? Thanks for the help!

No need to return to stock, just reflash the ROM and pick another theme.

Okay, thanks. I can do that. I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to go through the whole setting up my phone again just to change a theme.

You don't have to there is a run morphology option so you can just change the theme.

Thanks for the info! Gonna guess I just reboot into recovery and run the MOAR rom from sd card and pick the morphology option and pick another theme?
On a side note, could I as well download icon packs from the play store to use with one of the OMG themes?

You apply the icon packs on launchers.

Theme Question - Possibly Dumb...

Is it a big deal to flash a theme over a different theme if you're staying on the same rom?
Say I come across something else I want to use...should I install the rom and then put the new theme on, or can I just flash the new them over the old one?

You can just flash over, but if something is themed in the old and not themed in the new then you will still have that bit of the old showing. Also, this probably should have been posted in Q&A, just for future reference.

Good to know, thanks.
A follow up question...is there any way to uninstall or remove a theme? I like the one I'm using now, but in the past I've added some themes I immediately regretted. Can those be removed without reflashing the rom?

Just wipe cache/dalvik and flash your current rom. You won't lose anything except the theme.

You may need to reflash gapps, as well, if the theme themed them.
Good to know, I appreciate the help.

[REQUEST] Default theme for Froyo Beta4 by Z

I've searched the whole forum, I swear I haven't seen a thread like this yet. Anyone have the theme? Please share if you do!

A default theme is what it would look like after a fresh install
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
the default theme, if i'm not wrong, is the android stock theme. which is the one, in my opinion, every rom should include as default, or at least, as an option (cm 6.1.3 from wolfbreak is awesome, but i don't like the theme)
i think you can get it reflashing the rom

Why don't you just extract the framework from beta 4 and use it on wolfs cm6.1.3
Or install beta 4 and add Cm settings, then add apps etc from wolfs rom?
Just a thought

Thanks for the reply guys. Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm currently using Z's freeX10 beta 4 and the thing is I don't want to reflash every thing or else I'd need to customize everything back to the way it is. Too time consuming haha. Basically I want it because when I installed another theme before, some aspects of the theme remained on my phone even though I installed another theme. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, so I was hoping the default theme would get rid of them. I'll attach pictures to this post in a few minutes to show you what I mean. And yeah, I did try to extract the framework from the beta 4 but i failed miserably, It didn't let me install it through recovery
EDIT: attached pictures from phone. basically I really hate that youtube icon and I wanna get rid of it and revert it back to the normal one.
You wont be able to install framework through xrecovery, you would have to swap it using root explorer and change permissions, reboot then it should be fine
But make sure you copy the framework that was on before just in case anything happens, and/or backup using xrecovery for safety

Thanks. If you are talking about the analog clock, it is here. That's the only clock in the center screenshot since the digital clock in the statusbar is part of the theme, so I'm not sure what clocks you are talking about. The wallpaper is here. I'm using ADW but the the text icons were made with simpleicons (free in the market) and the dock was custom made by me.

What version of Clockwork Mod Recovery are you using? If you're not using the 12/7/2011 version 5.0.2.7 that imnuts posted, then you will wipe every time you exit recovery on InfinityROM (has nothing to do with the theme). Additionally, you must wipe both Cache and Dalvik Cache in recovery before flashing this theme. I've installed this theme and Grillrd's MinimalInfinity and have had no issue with messed up apps, settings, etc. with either.
In order to go back to the original InfinityROM theme, you either need to flash a Nandroid backup from recovery or reinstall InfinityROM. Always make a Nandroid backup before messing with anything in recovery and always keep another backup for apps and data (like Titanium Backup) current as well. Can't stress that enough.

I posted a zip to revert everything to the original Infinity theme in the second post. Are you SURE you are flashing this theme over InfinityRom1204? That is the ONLY rom this theme is meant for. Also like Karate said and I posted in the first post, make sure you wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing this. There where some issues some people had on an older cwm and Infinity that caused wiping so maybe that's your problem. There should be no reason this theme messes up anything.
Running this now. Pretty frigging good looking, just wish it would show up better in light without having to turn up the brightness.

Look on first page for link.
I see that the updated infinity 10-11-11 rom has had some framework changes. Anyone tried this theme with the updated version? I assume you will probrably not keep the framework changes with flashing this theme since it is for a older version but will it work? Also will there be an updated theme for this 10-11 version of infinity? Loving this theme hate to lose it!
Can't report from personal experience, but someone was reporting in IRC yesterday that it was causing him bootloops over 1211. If you try it, make sure you have a backup.

[ROM] UCLF6 Stock CWM (Updated: 07/12/2012)

UCLF6 in CWM flashable format.
This ROM is provided primarily for those wanting a stock base for customization, or to flash in CWM if you'd prefer not to go the ODIN route. Please don't report bugs in the stock ROM or request customizations, I won't make them, at least not here.
ROM: I727-UCLF6-071212.zip
MODEMS: modems-UCLF6.zip
- Stock, removed AT&T bloat, all of the Samsung apps still in.
- Deodexed, zipaligned
- Rooted (superuser 3.1.3)
- busybox 1.20.1
- insecure kernel included.
- Nova Laucher added, for those who just can't stand TW.
- (07/12/12) Included fixed TwWallpaperChooser so it displays all 35 wallpapers in the apk (vs the 10 that stock enables.) Download: TwWallpaperChooser.apk
Installation: Copy both rom and modem zips to SD card, reboot into CWM Recovery, flash the baseband (modems), then flash the rom, wipe cache, or factory reset if you want a clean start, then reboot.
If you download, at least thank me...
can i assume kernel is included?

A deodexed one would be good. I also looked closer and it is there, but it does not work or show up when choosing wallpapers. I just dropped in the one from Sky ICS, but it does not work.

Thanks for catching that. I was in the middle of fixing TwWallpaperChooser when I build the first rom, so it was left out. The apk actually contains 35 wallpapers, but only 10 are 'enabled' by Samsung/AT&T-- I've enabled the additional 25 to be displayed.
See OP, I've added a link to download the fixed TwWallpaperChooser. Also posted an updated rom zip (I727-UCLF6-071212.zip) with the TwWallpaperChooser.apk.
Of course it's hotfile, a service that makes you wait 30 minutes after downloading one file.

This is a dump of the stock at&t UCLF6 rom! Several folks have asked for a system dump and/or a cwm flashable version of it, so there it is.
Personally, I'm sticking with CM9.
Hey
The wallpaper app does not let me choose the full picture as wallpaper. Only screen size. And then it spans across home screens and looks ugly. I believe his is samsungs fault. Can it be fixed?

[Theme][ZipThemer]ICS AOSP Blue 0.02 All TouchWiz ROMs ICS/JB [9/10/2012]

This is a zipthemer theme. Should work for all TW ROMs.
My goal is to get rid of all of the non ICS Blue colors in place for ICS or white depending on what area the color is.
NOTE: JB Users, make sure to uncheck the li-droid part in zipthemer before creating your zip.
Features
*ICS Blue Clock with smaller AM/PM
*ICS Blue Battery Icon and %
*ICS Blue Toggles
*ICS Blue Signal Icon and Data Arrows
*ICS Blue WiFi Icon
*ICS Blue Date and Carrier Label.
*ICS AOSP Quick Settings Icon
*ICS Blue MMS and Phone Icon
-0.02 Changelog-
*Added More ICS Blue to SystemUI. Still tweaking it in other apps.
-Added a theme to MMS. If u dont like it, flash the undo and rebuild by unchecking the MMS theme.
-Themed parts of phone, contacts, Gallery
-More to come in 0.03.
Tested on CleanROM but should work on synergy and beans. If someone can test and let me know.
Install Zip themer from market.
Also Personalized mods can be made.
If u like my work hit the thanks button or throw me a small token of appreciation.

Mount /system in CWM before flashing. Sometimes it doesn't do it automatically, and the files won't get copied over.

I ported over most of the ICS Domination stuff into the ROM. I didn't want to just use the theme itself because I didn't want to mess anything up in the SystemUI or framework. I also got the onscreen navigation buttons working and was able to order them correctly. I am loving this ROM!
