[Q] Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190L incorrect root and problem solving - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone. I'm extremely new to this and need some help on the subject.
Recently I got a Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190L and tried rooting it. The problem was I tried doing it with a GT-I8190 root. Fortunately it didn't go very far with Odin. Once it gave me the "Fail" notification I unplugged it and the phone restarted by itself. It said that it was performing 3 updates and started working normally. My issue is that now I can't download any firmware updates (Kies tells me the software is not supported and can´t initialize, where as WIFI update tells me the device has been modified), and doesn´t auto-rotate unless an app requires it. I even downloaded Root Checker from Google Play and all it tells me it has "improper root".
Recently the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean UBAMC1 Firmware has been released, so I was wondering if by installing this update I could solve my problem?
Have as much patience as you can with me and please be as descriptive with your answer as you can. As I told you I´m very new and can get lost pretty easily. :silly:
Thank you for your help!

[Completed] Rooted, then Unroot (turns out not completely)... Help!!

Hello, first off I have a Galaxy s3 SCH-I535, 4.3 software version. A few months back I rooted my phone, but. I decided to unroot it to get the 4.4.2 mostly because the "install software update now" screen kept, keeps on popping up every few hours. Sometimes not even an hour. I went to YouTube to check up on videos showing me how to unroot my phone. I found a user that supposedly showed how to unroot a phone without a computer. I followed his instructions and, technically, it worked. But I came to find out that his method didn't unroot my phone. I still can't update my software and I can't seem to be able to finish my uprooting. I even tried rerooting in order to unroot it by another mood but I can't do that either. When I try to reroot it with the "saferoot" method (which was the program I used to first root it) there is a sign that says "your kernel has being patched". It reinstalled SuperSU but the app says that it doesn't detect an SU binary. I'm lost. I really need help. I much much rather know how to finish my unrooting.

[Completed] [Q] Cannot establish connection with google servers in rooted samsung s4

Hello, before i talk about my problem. Let me narrate my small story. Im 14 and i have a younger brother. Whenever My Dad gets me a new phone,my brother gets my old phone. So my dad was about to give me a samsung s6 .So i had to give my Rooted samsung galaxy s4 GT-19506 to my brother.I had rooted it in order to be able to get freedom and gamekiller for the gems and coins in games
So i Went to the super SU thing and pressed the complete unroot thingy and after that,i performed a factory reset to my S4.then after i did so,i tried logging in my google account but it refused saying that it couldnt establish a connection with the google servers . Even in 3g it wont, and btw Internet works perfectly fine in it(im posting this with it).I did a bit of research and i found that freedom is not allowing it to connect to the server
also i downloaded the root checker app apk on my s4 and it said that root access is not properly installed on this device. Also everytime i restart my phone,i get a message saying "android is upgrading"
please help me,im a newbie with this rooting stuff and im looking desperately for a quick solution but i wasnt able to find one so please help me
Plz email me as well at [email protected] or [email protected]
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. First, get rid of freedom and gamekiller. Those are warez apps and are frowned upon at XDA. I would suggest you flash the stock firmware with odin. That will return it to a like new condition and would be a good way to hand over the device to your brother. just follow this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477 BUT use the firmware for the i9506, not the firmware linked. You can get that at samsung-updates.com or sammobile.com If you need further help you can ask in the link I provided.

[Completed] Galaxy Note 3- Unroot android 5.1.1?

Unroot Note 3 android 5.1.1
Hello, I recently was given a rooted T-mobile Note 3. The guy who gave it to me, tried either updating or wiping it and it got stuck in a boot loop. I was able to get it out by simply putting it into download mode and taking it out. But then it has a never-ending "unfortunately google app has stopped" error. But it works if I create a new profile; google play doesn't work though.
So anyways, I need to unroot it so I can activate it. The android version is 5.1.1 the only version I can find is 5.0 I read that downgrading when unrooting will trip some anti-root switch: However I couldn't find anything saying if this would happen going from 5.1.1 to 5.0.
Any help is appreciated. thanks.

Fully Unroot Ace3

Hi all i have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 a while ago I decided to root this phone to get some extra features.
Today, as I write this, I got an internal message popup saying there was a new update for this phone. great I thought glad samsung has a new update.
So i ran the installer but got a message, cant update device has been modified. understandable as I was rooted.
To try and get the update I decided to
1. remove root using KingRoot: update did not work.
2. reset back to factory settings: Update did not work.
3. came here to ask.
is there a way to fix the error relating to modified device on my ace 3 so i can get the latest official update.
thanks for any help you can give on this
