Hello,
I search a soft to replace "alarm's soft" included by default in WM6.
I want to configure more than only 1 alarm.
Have you a solution for that ?
Thanks.
And sorry for my poor english.
There's loads of different utilities available, but here's a couple you might want to look into....
1. PhoneAlarmSP from PocketMax software - see here
2. John Cody's Alerts from Omnisoft - see here
You can search the forums for other options, and I'm sure other forum members will chip in with their recommendations
Cheers, Mark.
1.Chronos for Smartphones - here
2.Oxios Alarms - here
3.CityTime Alarms - here
Ouah, 5 softs !
Who is the better ?
Do you use all of thems ???
Sorry for my porr english.
I am using Chronos
If you want a freeware then you can try Schedy Mobile - here
I use and love CitiTime Alarms. The alarm settings are very flexible and works flawlessly. It also has stopwatch and timer, which is quite handy.
The only other alarm soft i've used is GenTimer, and am very disappointed with it. With all the bells and whistles in that app, it was extremely resource intensive, and buggy.
I love Gentimer from Rivia, you can set a "gentle" alarm, which rings a couple minutes before the actual alarm, just choose something nice and you will wake up without the usual shock It also has a clock, world time, stopwatch and timers!
does shcedy mobile have to be running in order for it to play the alarm?
I will try Schedy Mobile, it's freeware.
Thanks a lot.
NextEvent gives you a simple view of how long until your next calendar appointment or alarm. A 1x1 widget on your home screen shows you at a glance how many days, hours, or minutes until your next event. Easily see how much time until your next meeting at work, or keep an eye on how many hours until the alarm is going to go off in the morning.
NextEvent Free Market Link
Other calendar widgets take up a lot of space on your home screen, but NextEvent is small and straightforward. The widget focuses solely on telling you when your next event is coming. Clicking the widget brings up a full list of all upcoming events, with description, location, and time for each. You can also optionally add your next event to the notification bar.
NextEvent integrates with the following sources:
Built-in calendar app
System alarm and other alarms that write to the system alarm property (see note below)
Alarm Clock Xtreme
Alarm Clock Plus
If you have another source you’d like me to consider adding, please let me know. Please note that my ability to integrate it depends on either an existing interface from that provider, or willingness to add one for this purpose. Some apps may not be possible to integrate.
If you have any problems, questions, or comments, please be sure to let me know here or email me directly. I’m an independent developer with a day job, but I will do everything I can to answer your questions and resolve any problems as quickly as possible.
More on alarm integration:
Android provides a system property that any app can write to indicating the next alarm time. If you only have your default system alarm application installed, this should work fine. If nothing happens when you click on an alarm in the detail list, or if it opens the wrong application, please go to Menu -> Settings -> Global Alarm Application and choose what program should be opened.
If you use – or even have just installed – a 3rd party alarm application, it may cause problems with this property. Since both the default and 3rd party apps are writing to this property, one may write to the property that there is no scheduled alarm, overwriting the alarm the other app has set. NextEvent supports more direct integration with two popular alarm clock programs, Alarm Clock Plus and Alarm Clock Xtreme. If you use either program, the direct integration will not have any of these problems. It also supports showing multiple alarms and timers that have been set in those applications. I may look into adding direct integration with other alarm programs if they support it.

Again, if you have any problems or suggestions, please let me know here, via the email listed in the market, or via PM!
Changelog/announcements
v1.1.1:
- Full ICS+ support (sorry for the delay!)
- Optional icon in the notification bar with a countdown to the next event (just the closest hour or day if > 90 minutes, or minutes if < 90 minutes). ICS+ only for now.
Save one more
You never know, might need one more...
Will this be available for 4.0+? This is the only calendar widget or indeed app I've found that has a countdown view including hours and minutes of upcoming events.
Have you realized that there is not calendar widget out there with time until event? eg:
- 10pm Event XXXX (in 5h:25m)
I would gladly pay for a widget like that...

So are you basically looking for a widget that includes the event title, in addition to what's there now? I can certainly add that -- it'd most likely need to be a bigger widget to fit the title in a readable font (maybe 2x1). So I'd keep the 1x1 version for those who want it. Let me know if that's what you had in mind.

Actually, the perfect widget for me would be a 4x1, and in it accommodate the next 2-3 events:
- 11am Event A (in 5h6m)
- 1pm Event B (in 7h6m)
- 3pm Event C (in 9h6m)
I have pure calendar widget, and when I asked the dev to include this feature the reason he gave me to not include it was that it would be a battery hog as he would have to make it update every x minutes. Now, I had this kind of widget when I had my HTC phone, and what the widget did was to redraw itself with the updated time every time I would turn on the display.
Please tell me if this is possible without making it a big battery drain.
Thanks a lot for looking into it!!
P.S. I even know the name it should have: "NextEvents"

Hi,
Thank you zalaros for the feedback happy to see that you like it
For your request, I think that I did it in a better way:
1- Go to "Parameters" -> set "Shaking Intensity" to "Very small"
2- Set "Stop mode" of the alarm to "shake"
When the alarm goes on, all what you need is to take quickly the mobile in your hand (and if you want flip it quickly if it doesn't snooze) and it will snooze (or stop if there is no remaining repeats or you check "Direct stop after shaking" in "Parameters")
Give it a try and tell me what do you think
Don't forget to rate and commente the app please, when you have some free time
Thanks again,
Any other idea?
So great!! i recommand it

Thank you for your reply Unfortunately this doesn't suit me It's not like the flip to snooze (or close) that other alarm apps have. Maybe you should try one and see for yourself Thank's anyway :good:

Hi zalaros,
I will add this flip to snooze (or stop) feature than in the next update for you and for all people who like this feature (I am sure that there are a lot )
Please subscribe to this thread, I will tell you when the app is updated to support "flip to snooze" feature
Thanks again :good:
Any other idea of features ? , someone had tested the app on a tablette?
Thank you in advance for your great feedback
this seems to be a promising alarm application. I am using spb time for years and still think this is the king to beat.
It has every detail perfect including beautiful UI. one feature I missing from all the alarms is "auto snooze"
The alarm will play the sound for a given times and goes into snooze mode automatically.
For not that important alarm, I don't bother to flip or even touch the phone.
It also includes calendar/world clock/stop watch/count down. Imaging the calendar also includes the iso week number which
is missing even for some dedicated calendar app.
You can copy pate the alarm, which is a much better idea than alarm profile as every alarm you created can act as a profile.

Hello henrik.dk,
Thank you for the very interesting feedback, you know that SPB is like a legend on Play Store with there best seller SPB Shell 3D, but for their SPB Time app, i think that it isn't a real succes, as you can see the users don't realy like it (rating 3.1 and a lot of complaints) and there is no free version, so if you compare it to my paid app Alarm Plus Millenium, yes SPB time have features that mine don't have but Alarm Plus Millenium, have also other features that SPB time don't have and is cheaper so according to the features that you want you can choose one, you can see that all users of my paid app (41 users) are very satisfied cause they know that the app can do the work of 4 apps for a price of one.
I don't know if you tried my app, if yes you must see that it includes "auto snooze" , you choose the alarm duration and the number of repeats, so when the alarm goes on it will automatically snooze after the selected alarm duration time until the last repeat where it will stop
I agree with you and I really want to add all these features that you are talking about, but as i am not a super developer this will not be possible for now, but when the app will be a succes (I hope) with your help and encouragement I am sure that i will beat the king
Thanks again and i promise you to do my best to add the features you're talking about and improve the UI in the next updates
yes. you app is really good. I did give your app a try but just for a short of time. sorry I didn't notice how you archive auto snooze.
the reason of low rating of spb time is compatibility I would guess.
