[ROOT]Alternative Root superuser for JellyBean - Galaxy S Advance I9070 General

I have found a alternative root superuser method from ChainsDD and its working on our device.
Some users have reported that 4cyl turbo nos doesnt work well with our root superSU, so i tried ChainsDD superuser signed zip and it worked.
The difference is SuperSU is from Chainfire and Superuser is from ChainsDD https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5ub3NodWZvdS5hbmRyb2lkLnN1Il0.
The original link is here http://androidsu.com/superuser/
The only thing is you have to install busybox manually from playstore after the root method https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsInN0ZXJpY3Nvbi5idXN5Ym94Il0.
Download Superuser
Install method:
Same as Shaaan root method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087424
How to :
1. Download the zip and place it in the root of your sd card.
PS : SD Card is a must.
2. Reboot to the stock recovery.
3. Select install update from external storage.
4. Select the Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip file.
5. Viola

Please test and report, as i remember, on gingerbread i had some issues with superSU but superuser worked good and some user have reported that without root the phone is working well with no lags, maybe is just a placeboo effect.

Lol. The problem with 4cyl isn't my root method! It's the su app.
Root using my method and change the su app. 4cyl will work fine..

yes, i was speaking generic, the superSU is causing problems not the method itself.
i have edited the post to be more specific. i wanted to share this already sign zip so it will be more convenient for users

i rooted my phone using this method. When i am trying to set default action as allow always, the apps are not getting superuser permissions!
although if it is set as prompt, i can grant superuser permissions.
Rom-DDULP8
Kernel-CoCore-E 6.2
Hit thanks if I helped!

[GUIDE]Fix Superuser Permissions!

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT RESPONSIBLE on anything that will happen on your device such as getting bricked or malfunctioning. I only posted this little trick I found out to help others who are also in the same boat. This method MAY or MAY NOT WORK on your device, so proceed at your own risk.
=====================================
Maybe some of you have not seen any Superuser prompt that appears whenever you run apps that needs root (example are Link2SD, Titanium Backup) and etc. Out of frustration last night, I tried to find a way to fix this and I have indeed found it.
But before that here are some of the prerequisites needed:
-Phone/Tablet must be ROOTED
-Has access to system using File Explorers such as Mi(UI) File Explorer, Root Explorer and other explorer that DO NOT prompts Superuser. What I mean here is that you can see /data, /mnt, /etc folders and the like.
..and here are the little steps in fixing it:
1. Download and install BusyBox from Google Play Store.
2. Open BusyBox, select 1.20.2.
3. Click install, and wait for it and it's done.
4. After BusyBox has been installed, download SuperSU from Play Store.
5. Install and let it load.
6. After loading, press YES when asked to update SU Binary.
7. When it's done, press back and try apps that needs root like Titanium Backup.
And there, notification prompt would appear again!
NOTE: UNINSTALL, take note UNINSTALL previous Superuser app through Root Uninstaller. Main reason why that should be uninstalled so that there would be no conflicts with the SU app.
OPTIONAL: you MAY UNINSTALL BusyBox app but I recommend not so to avoid any problems.
I have also applied this method to my tablet that's already rooted but doesn't have Superuser app yet. A simple press of thanks is highly appreciated. :3
hey, I've been trying and trying again but still can't... what should I do? root explorer cant fix my problem.. superSU, superuser fixer, it can't fix my problem too.

Update to different SuperUser

I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2X and updated with SuperUser 3.1.3.
Is there anyway for me to change/update this Super User to SuperSU v0.99 ? How can I do that? Do I need to re-flash the SuperSU.zip file again from Recovery?
Reason being SuperSU v0.99 is user to use, I could grant/deny apps from the options.
Thanks.

You will need to delete the current su binary on your system partition, then flash ss. Though superuser is the superior app and has all the necessary settings. Easiest way is through the team win recovery project - TWRP - file manager.

I've deleted the superuser.apk using root explorer and then I install SuperSU from market play. When performing the update, it says update failed. Now I cannot access to my Titanium Backup. Luckily I've performed backup using TWRP and restored back all the files.
Is there any other way to update to SuperSU? Can I just use TWRP to flash the SuperSU file (found this rar file "Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed") directly? Please advice. Thanks
Yeah, simply download supersu from play store and install it. Open it and it will ask you to update su binary, then superuser will ask for permission, allow. Then use a root un installer app or root explorer and delete the superuser.apk and reboot phone

[Q] GS4 installing superuser

i just rooted my phone using motochopper. and am trying to use ltm launcher. every time i open it, it says root context not able to get permission.

Just installing the super user app from play store doesn't root your phone.
SuperUser app only manages root permissions. It itself does not root the phone. Head over to your xda section and read there how to root your phone .

Like I've said I have already rooted my phone using motochopper. That's not the problem. The problem is not getting super user updated

Did you follow the official rooting procedure as given in your xda forum? Because if your phone is rooted then you won't face any problem related to SuperUser app and updating binary and all these stuffs.
I've had the same problem as listed above.

[Q] Motorola Xoom - no su access after root

Hi all. I am new to rooting. Recently decided to root my Motorola Xoom WiFi tablet, which has android 4.1.2 installed. I went through the Universal root method described in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242241 and everything went well...with one exception - I still have no su access. No clue how to proceed or where the problem might be...Any help appreciated.
Sounds like you didn't flash the xoom root zip file. Make sure that the xoom root zip file is on your sd card and boot back into clockwork recovery, choose to install from a zip file and choose that zip file to flash it. After it's done flashing you should be good to go.
and have you installed one of both apk - supersu - or - superuser -

How To Root Samsung Galaxy Core Duos 8262 100% working

The last day i've posted that i cant root galaxy core 8262.
After 2 days gooling i ve find a way to root this device.this device was updated last month.
ok now start Rooting
1.Download Vroot from here_ http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
2.Install this on ur pc.... this is Chinese so u will face some problems i guess
3.Start VROOT and root now!
4. Now we need to install SuperSU from play store to replace the Chinese root manager called 授权管理 1.0.4.
5. Go to play store and install SuperSU.
6. Start SuperSU and you will be asked for permission by 授权管理 1.0.4, choose 允许(means allow). (Should be the right side option.)
7. SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.
8. Now, freeze 授权管理 1.0.4 in titanium backup, just in case you need it again.
Note: If you uninstall straight away from app manager, you need to make sure SuperSU updated the binary.
9. Re-run SuperSU to make sure everything is alright. You will be prompt again to install SU binary, just do what it asked.
10. After that, you are rooted with SuperSU and 授权管理 1.0.4 will not be there anymore.
Optional
11. If you want to be more assured, in SuperSU app, prepare for a Reinstall in settings. (NOT Full unroot NOT Switch superuser app)
12. SuperSU will be removed and go back to play store to re-download and install.
13. Start SuperSU and SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.
tnx button is there (Y)
