For some reason since an update in late April the cmupdater no longer finds any updates, when I go into system settings->About Tablet->CyanogenMod Updates and do a "refresh" I always get a "No New Updates Found". I can see the list of available updates already downloaded, it also no longer shows which is installed only downloaded, even though when I check the CyanogenMod version is shows the correct installed version (10.1-20130528-NIGHTLY-a700). I have tried to reinstall with CyanogenMod downloader and that works fine, but the built in updater no longer works. Any clues?
Update: Installed RC3, and my updates are back, but now it reboots every few minutes on it own. Tried using Titanium backup, but it reboots before it completes a backup. Going to try the recovery backup, then do a factory/reset and start fresh.....

Downloaded the Pro version a few days ago, flashed recovery, installed BB with a Chevy kernel and all went fine. I downloaded the updates from the market and went to check to see if my ROM had updates but I had to flash the recovery again, did that but it doesn't recognize that I am running the BB ROM anymore so I can choose check for updates....any ideas?
I also can't fix permissions either it says: "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"
I just uninstalled both programs and downloaded from the market again but I still have the same issues. I know there are a few other guys with Droids on other forums with the exact same issues, any help would be appreciated.
My TF101 shipped wiht 8.2.3.6 (04142011) firmware.
FOTA search says no FOTA.
I tried manual update and it picked up and rebooted but stopped with an exclamation.
Then it rebooted after some time and said update was successful though it was not. In 'About the Device' it says the build is still 8.2.3.6.
How do I make it update properly to 8.2.3.9?
I would just try to run the manual update again. It worked fine for me. Are you sure that you downloaded and installed the launcher update first? I believe it will fail if you don't install the updated launcher first.
Hi,
A while back I rooted and unlocked using clockwork recovery and installed bigxie_magurTA_JRO03C-signed.zip
All was good for a while until the last month where I continually receive notification to update to 4.1.2
when I choose install, it attempts to reboot and on the recovery mode, I attempt to run the /sdcard/update.zip and it fails due to signature verification failure.
When I disable the signature verification, it states it cannot open the update file as if it is corrupt or not there,
I then tried to put on cyanogen mod, and when that loaded, I could not enter in my gmail profile info.
I then installed gapps on the next attempt to install cyanogen mod 10 and although more apps (google play app) was listed, still could not enter my gmail info anywhere
i have gone back to the 4.1.1 install I mentioned earlier, and it is running fine, but I am still prompted to update, which fails every single time.
Any suggestions on how to update this, I would be happy to go with cyanogen mod, but no idea really where to start.
I searched for the same error messages I was getting, and found a few posts but not solutions or recommendations,
Also, is this going to happen for every single update from this point on since rooting and unlocking the phone? i would prefer to give up more app control if going back to stock builds means not having to give up this much time for every update.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

I have a rooted S4 and just installed Dandvh's Google Play Edition v.20150919 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539361) rom. I used TWRP to install, wiping everything but internal storage, then flashed the rom. Installed fine, no errors. Took the usual bit of extra time to boot the first time then up and running clean and stable. The issue is that the OTA Updater app doesn't work, severely limiting my ROM options. It didn't install as part of the rom install, though I'm not sure if it's normal to just get it off the play store. I get an error message about not being compatible with the ROM and can't access it (error message screen cap below). Just in case, I wiped the phone and flashed again just to be sure, same result. The OTA Updater is important as this is where you can change kernals, audioFX stuff, toggle advanced power menus, and quite a bit more. When I used this ROM during the first part of the year OTA Updater worked just fine but I switched off in July to try another ROM so maybe something with the ROM has changed? I tried searching for any comments in the thread to indicate either that something changed with OTA Updater or if anyone else had a similar problem, found nothing. Would appreciate if anyone might know why OTA Updater isn't working or how I might correct it. Thanks.
Edit #1: I haven't changed the model number to SGH-M919 (as seen in the screen cap) in build.prop yet as if I can't get this ROM to work right I'll need to flash something else.
Edit #2: I noted in the patch notes that the ROM was updated for OTA Updater 2.4.2 and I was running 2.5.3 so I uninstalled it and installed 2.4.2. No luck there either.

I delayed updating my phone for over a year, I ve had it for 2.5 years and now got a new one and going to sell it, so need to update it. But its stuck on MIUI 12.5.0 and will not update, it keeps downloading the same incremental update over and over again, it doesnt see any other updates even though its stuck on Android 10 and 12 is available. I ve updated the updater app, it makes no difference, I downloaded the latest ROM and put it on the root of the sdcard, the "downloaded ROM" folder and on several usb sticks, it will not see the update and nor does recovery see it. It driving me mad, any ideas ? Never had this on any Android device before.
