[Q] Samsung Galaxy S Duos - General Questions and Answers

I own a Samsung Galaxy S Duos and I have rooted it already but will not allow me to overclock. I searched around and all say that I need the KyleOpen ROM to enable OC. But, I want my mobile as it is, with the original apps on it (most of them at least). If I install the KyleOPEN v.5 will retain my original apps? Also will support my mother language or only English?

you can backup the apps using titanium backup and after flashing the rom , you can restore all your apps .

It will retain the Samsung keyboard and all supported languages?

it can backup system apps like the keyboard ... however the language support is dependent on the rom
clarify with the developer or read the rom thread to check if the language you want is supported or not .

Hi, rooting your tab 2 will involve flashing a modified recovery menu/environment to your tab, then installing the superuser package (which is what roots your tab device) through there.
Once you have flashed the modified recovery to your tab im fairly sure that the flash counter has a number added to it which will indicate you have flashed things to your tab, you can however reset this counter and restore everything back to its fully stock state if you need to send your device back for warranty purposes.

Got this almost sorted need help :)

Ok so I got the lenovo s880i googlefied. All is syncing and I have cleaned all the crap from lenovo on it. Now, I have some more questions : How can I find the system APK for system languages? I wang to add some european languages. It is android 4.0.4 ICS. I installed GO desktop too, wich is a way better launcher/desktop than the crap lebovo default. How can I make it the default system launcher ? Will it work if I just place the apk in to system/app and erase the original desktop? Or should I link it to the system somehow? Then finally I would like to replace the stock phone dial module for the original ICS one. Is that possible or it's a compiled part instead of an apk?
Many thanks!!

Hey thanks to those responding ! I know already that you can do that with titanium. I prefer to do that manually though, as I alredy know the file system. Can somebody experienced with coding and more knowledge abou the system internals come five a hand here?

Bro it is because stock roms have lots of apps which we dont use. Costum roms have only that apps which it required by phone, and some apps which are lot handy these days.

Flashing new build ROM of CyanogenMod 12.1 for I9305

Hello,
First I am new to this forum and I did a root and flashed a custom ROM on my I9305, the CyanogenMod 12.1 of winxuser. The OS works flawless. I did with CWM recovery mode and rooted with SuperU.
My question is this: If a new version is uploaded and I want to flash it on my device, what are the steps to do it right without loosing my personal apps installed on the device? In the future its posible to exist new build of the custom ROM that I am using right now.
Thanks for the answers in advance, and sorry if my question exists anywhere on this forum, i searched and didnt find anything.

And the titanium backup is made from my CWN recovery or its a third party app on Google Play?
Thired party app on google.
Using CWM recovery you can make a nandroid backup. But cant restore the data to a whole new rom.
One roms data is not tooo good with another rom.
Nandroid backup stores your syatem, data, catch, doot, recovery for future refrence.

Try using cyandelta, you dont have to download the whole zip file every time you want to update. It just downloads the new added updates. Here's the link check it out. . http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6TUtVq-j8E
Thanks for the useful link above with the CyanDelta, but for my ROM is not quite the proper mode to update my ROM because its an unofficial one. Untill we will have it officially I can not use the app.
Glad that I found it tho.
So you are planning to flash another rom
