Any experiance with the "Gumdrop" cases? - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Accessories

Just wondering if anyone had gotten one yet, or even seen a review? I was specifically wondering how the front face shield/screen protector worked with the S-Pen.

I still have not seen anything. I also contacted gumdrop over a week to ask for thr size dimensions and they have not responded.

gumdrop responded with the size: " 8.75x5.75 across 9.5". I am a little confused what that means, but at least it is something.

that means it measures 8.75 inches from left to right, 5.75 inches from top to bottom, and 9.5 inches from one corner to the opposite corner (e.g. bottom-left to top-right).

Makes sense. I have never tracked case demensions diagionally before. It does not sound to large. If the price drops I will consider it.

Has anyone bought this case over the last few weeks? If so a short review would be appreciated. I am looking at this or the poetic case. Thanks!

Bumper Defect?

I had my bumper off my phone while I was having ghost armor installed on it, the bumper was in my pocket and I tend to be one of those people who fiddles with things in their pocket while they wait.
I was just pushing on it lightly, when I realized that the hard plastic easily came apart from the rubber. I thought maybe I just pushed too hard, but when I started inspecting it around the sides, I realized that there were many spots where it would happen with very little force.
Is this supposed to happen or is it some sort of defect in my bumper?

I don't think it's meant to be separable but you might want to email Google support. They can probably answer this question better than XDA members imo.

That was the first thing I did. Just thought I'd ask if anyone else had this happen as well.
Judging from this bumper unboxing/review... it's supposed to be like that

Most bumpers are 2 parts
Mine does the same thing around some areas of the bumper.

EDIT: I don't think it can come all the way apart, there is glue holding parts of the bumper.
My bumper is the same...its perfectly normal.

Ballistic and Seidio Cases.

If this is a wrong thread, please inform the Mod to delete:
Has anyone check out goballisticcase.com and seidio.com lately. There's a picture of a Seidio 1/2 top, 1/2 bottom case that's under development. Ballistic has one coming soon. I would assume both will add considerable size just by looking at the possible product.
Ballistic says it will release by mid to late January

No, I haven't tried it.
That's is actually a pretty bad ass case! I currently have the amazon poka dot gel shell case but this one seems like an even higher level of protection! Great find man!

[Q] Neoprene pouch?

Does anyone make a plain, snug-fitting neoprene type material pouch for the Nexus 4?
Something like the one that came standard with the G1 or Nexus One.
Thanks.

I got one of the $3.99 China specials from eBay. It got here fast.
I ordered the one for the Note 2, based upon a recommendation I read for sizing if you want to use it for the bumper. It is a little on the loose side, not really too big per se, but the fit is not snug. I may order another if I can find one just slightly smaller, not like it matters at $3.99 + $1 for shipping, lulz.

Ringke fusion?

I ordered this case from eBay for thirteen bucks since the Google ones were not available. I had one on my n4 and liked it. Have used otter box in the past and some no name tpu's before. Never tried a bumper either. Is there any others you'd recommend?

thats the one I was thinking of getting. I was going to get the grey one for a white n5 but then thought the sides are black anyway so decided on the black in the end. Nice looking case hope it gives the protection as well as the looks.
I'm torn as well I want something clear I want the Nexus logo visible and also I do not want to pay 34.99 for googles case
Right, I don't want to have it naked just in case. I've had good luck with the fusion plus its cheap. Idk about those flip cases, they look nice but for forty or fifty I'd rather not.

Iv never used a flip case but I have always thought that the novelty of flipping over the cover to activate the screen will wear thin quickly and having to deal with the flappy front when open will be far more annoying than any practical use it will make up for.

Next time please post in accessories
Cases are limited at this time as you'd expect, so I picked up a spigen ultra fit in the meantime for 20 bucks. But planning on getting Otterbox when available.

i have it as well (was bundled), Don't like it on the phone makes it feel cheap.
Right. I just needed something on mine until I found one I liked. This was the only one available in a retail store that didn't have to be ordered.

I can see I am going to be building up a collection of cases in the next couple of months
Thanks for posting the photo
Still getting it as a temporary measure.

Got the case now.
For me it is fantastic.. The attention to detail on the cutouts is great. They really looked at the phone lines and respected them
I can understand some might feel it makes the phone feel less premium, but for me it is the opposite. The slightly granular texture works great (feels secure) and I like the tint the black semi transparent gives my pink phone
This one I think will be my main case now
(Just need to sorry out the best screen protector option now
Also...
The FrostCover does work in the DK32 cradle without mods.
When using the 32B tray insert.
It is a tight fit (not just a 'drop it in',. you need a little bit of a wiggle).. but no mods needed
Cool
I'd buy one if not for the price and cut out for the XPERIA logo.
