Hi,
Ever since I remember my tf700 and cleanrom (from 2.x and above) it was kinda laggy. I noticed that during my several application usages (TED, Sketchmobile for tablets etc.).
Anyone else been having that issue? Even chrome is lagging abit ...

Are you on the latest jelly bean bootloader - it makes a difference. Also which options are you installing with?
What is TED?

Lagginess in CleanRom is impossible. You must have done something wrong
@sdbags, TED is an app (and website) that lets you stream some of the most interesting videos on the planet with
I tried either the stock kernel or the oc'ed one (1.5ghz I think) version 1.8. It was on top of the list. Also, I added the adaway options and the smooth scrooling.
Other than these, I havn't picked any system tweaks.
I've done this with wipe too.
In fact, right after it boots - it feels "really laggy". It took about 1-2 seconds to go between initial setup screens. Once it finished and I reboot, it works ok - but it still lags in certain apps. Sketch for tablet is an excellent example because you can really see a 0.5s delay between what I draw and what is drawen.
Same goes with titanium bacup by the way .. gets 0.5-1 s delay between certain options.
Doesn't sound right.
Are you sure you are on the latest Asus jelly bean bootloader? You haven't said yet. Which Rom did you come from? Roms will always be laggy after a full reboot. There are many processes and apps starting even after the lock screen becomes available. But you don't shut down and reboot very often do you so it's a moot point.
not able to install some apk
I was enjoying the smoothness of the cleanrom until i couldnt install some apks, says fre up space but i got lil over 5 gig and my micro sd barely has anything in it and i got 32 mico sd, also i know its not same section but is it possible to just root and just continue with stock? LOVE the clean but the error with installing certain apks while under rom upsets me cuz i can use backup to before i used the rom and install but then it wouldnt be rooted
Ok i can act like sucha noob, found how to root without changing anything, but i do still would like to figure about the cleanrom

...again you're on the wrong bootloader.
Were you on ICS when you flashed?
You will have to go back update to Jelly Bean then start the flashing process over.
Take it from me I was seeing exactly what you have now when I first flashed the original ClROM.

Remarkable sleuthing. My respect!
@OP: start paying for your software, or we will start charging for our help. :silly:
Regarding the bootloader: 10.4.4.16 (got that from the download mode windows)..
Only thing I remember about the BL is that I already got my tf700 with JB on it, so I couldn't downgrade and had to unlock it as is (thus not able to backup some crucial anti-brick files).
Hi, I have a TF700 and it was working perfectly out the box, i recently updated to JB 4.2.1 (Build number : 10.6.1.14.10) and I have been experiencing issues such as major delay, lagging, freezing, even after a cold boot. I have attempted factory reset. I have considered downgrading but I have also been looking at Custom ROMs, I would rather not use these Customs ROMs as I am still under warentee. But I will if need be. Could anyone point me in the right direction as to making JB more responsive? If not, what would be a good Custom ROM?
Thanks in advance
Are you saying even after a factory reset and without installing any apps, Android is freezing and lagging on you?
On stock you could:
Factory reset and manually re-flash the firmware (but you basically did that already)
Disable any bloatware yo are not using
Try the app Greenify to stop unwanted services and apps from running
For a custom rom my vote goes for CROMi-X 5.2.4. Totally stable and because it is based on Asus' own firmware everything works as intended. Look for the thread in Development

Thank you very much! Yes, android was laggy after a fresh install! I will try the Greenify app, if that doesnt work, the custom firmware looks like my only choice. Thanks
This is the stock US KitKat ROM for The Galaxy Tab 3 7" Tablet. Finally found it after a bunch of hassle online, and figured I'd post it here to make things easier for everyone.
When I Odin'd this ROM, it actually upgraded my tablet, and left all my items installed (not guaranteeing this will work the same for everyone else).
Afterwards, I just Odin'd TWRP to reroot using Chainfire's SuperSU (no other Superuser would work) and called it good.
Caution: if you are using a custom ROM, this may not work without reflashing stock 4.1.2 since the 4.4.2 ROM appears to be an update, rather than a full ROM.
Rooted devices and custom kernels that are otherwise stock should be fine.
The cache, and if possible dalvik-cache should be cleared before flashing. Some of those files can sometimes interfere with upgrades.
It might be necessary to pinpoint apps that are force closing, uninstall and reinstall them. Some apps, particularly paid apps, store their data differently on KitKat, and will automatically fail as a result.
If that fails, it might be necessary to factory reset the device.
The Stock 4.1.2 ROM for the T210R is available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-stock-sm-t210r-4-1-2-jellybean-odin-t2958676
The T210R...XAR file is for the 210R:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2iEgzRTFjrQTmI0ZjRBbWtOajQ&authuser=0
The ITV file is for the T210 (no R)
To download these ROMs, a torrent client is required (such as utorrent).
Anyone who wishes to contribute, please seed if you can after downloading ("Force Starting" the torrent will seed it indefinitely.)

I've seen both devices referenced together quite regularly, implying that they use the same ROM.
http://www.boeboer.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-3-7-sm-t210r-manual-guide-wifi/
And even use the same kernel from what I've read:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439564
I would take standard precautions, such as having a odin image of your original software available and performing a backup of your current system (if able).
Perhaps someone else has some insight to this question?
edit: Looks like I had my information wrong. Found where I obtained the ROM from, it is for the T210R model, and was not intended for the T210.
There are custom ROMs that have been patched for use on both devices, which is where my confusion came from, but this is an official ROM.
I have gotten my hands on the T210(no R) ROM file, and have update the Links above.
I am not responsible for any failed attempts at flashing to either device.

First, thanks for this. I have the T210R. I tried using this and had the same result, it updated the tablet instead of loading a completely new version. I did however run into a problem...the tablet had many for closes and reboots to a point it was unusable and so I reverted back to my backup. Did you see this? Maybe I had a bad download?

I did not have this problem, but I didn't have much on my Tab either. (Some apps don't play well with KitKat upgrades.)
Torrents have multiple segmented hashchecks to make sure you get an uncorrupted download, but it might still be possible. I'm reasonably sure my file is OK since I've used it (can't speak for the non R file though).
Did you clear your cache, and if possible your dalvik cache? I've read that some of those files interfere with upgrades.
If you can pinpoint the apps that are force closing, uninstall and reinstall them. Some apps, particularly paid apps, store their data differently on KitKat, and will automatically fail as a result.
Other option would be to try a factory reset and see if that fixes it. (I understand not wanting to do that though.)
One more thing, if your ROM isn't stock, or stock rooted (custom kernel should be ok too), you may have to flash 4.2 before the 4.4 ROM will work on the device.
Right guys, here i go, just joined and first question!!!
i have not ever rooted a sm-t210 but it was rooted when i bought it second hand!
i have linux installed on my p.c. and was wondering if there is a way to upgrade to and official KITKAT!
as stated i am having problems because my SM-T210 wifi only! and want to update to kitkat official release!
but was hoping also that there is a way/method to root via LINX and not via windows!!
if that is not possible how do i go about it on windows!! as i can use a friends WINDOWS-P.C. if i must!
ah also my SM-T210 does not have the options to change the function of the USB-function,,,
i.e.
it used to have an option to,, use as a mass storege, media transfer or use with samsung keis,,, or some thing of the sort
but this option has dissapeared! may have been my fault!!!! as i uninstalled some system apps,
now it crashes and reboots whenever i try to turn of USB-DEBUGGING options in DEVELOPER-OPTIONS !!!!

Just to triple check, by the above quote you mean that if my tablet is currently rooted, I should still be fine to flash this update correct? [obviously it would become non-rooted once flashed and I'd have to re-root it as you mentioned you rooted after installing]
Also, how much space does this take up?
thanks

That is correct. I was rooted running the Werewolf custom OC kernel. I still had my tablet upgrade without wiping, and one other user has reported back saying the same. But I can not promise upgrade as opposed to overwrite.
The flash file once extracted, is about 1.4 GB, I don't know sizes beyond that. It does not repartition the tablet however.

Well this is awesome, system won't mount and I don't have a backup. Samsung website does NOT have the stock firmware, and attempting to get it for another country just to get this to load so I can flash a ROM leaves me with having to download at 15kbs. I am in the process of selling this to someone for their kid... And there are ZERO seeders for these files. Lovely.

For some (unknown) reason, Odin3 nor JOdin3 doesn't seem to work for flashing my Samsung Galaxy Tab3 device. For that reason I tried Heimdall-Frontend, but to make that work you need to extract the content of a stock ROM first.
Anyways, it still didn't lead to get my device into factory reset yet.
But that's another story on which I still have not yet found the answers needed to get the device successfully back into factory reset.
My guess is that the 'system.img' file, of Android 4.4.2, successfully has been loaded from Heimdall-Frontend, yet by going into reboot right away after Heimdall-Frontend releases the connected device, the download may be deleted.
I read that the cause of that may lie in the fact that Android 4.4.2 is only an update and no full ROM.
This is a Stock Rooted odexed Rom based on 4.4.2 AT&T LG G3 OTA D85010f
Its a full odexed Base with stock kernel to bring you latest OTA version (D85010f), use as a base for a rom or if you mess something up to bring you back up! It has stock boot image so it doesn't need to be s"bump'd" . I took OTA to get system dump images I needed so I could make this.

The KS for posting this. When debloated, deiq'd and greenfield I find stock far smoother than the various variants derived from an international base.
Installed this ROM on my wife's new phone last night using Bump TWRP. Everything seems to work great which is what i want. Thanks.
Was concerned about the infamous overheating problem about this phone with simple video playback. Play video (not game) for a few hours and can barely feel the temperature difference. May be the problem is about video game but that is not my concern.
@1Cwulf: Care to elaborate on the "some tweaks" that you mention in the second post? I tried the international ROM, and it has a few lttle issues that is making me want to try back a proper D850 ROM.

Just something to help with lag and possibly improve battery life a bit.
Its not intended to be a full feature Rom (at least not atm), just something as close to stock without losing functionality.

Just curious if there were any straight vanilla android w/gapps roms out there already rooted that are flashable?
Something non AOSP or CM
I was debating on going back to the straight google image but then thought I would ask. It seems all the ones I read are tweaked or basically ASOP versions.
I get why there might not be but wasnt sure if anyone just made a straight google image flashable with no tweak or modifacations?
Thanks

cause Im lazy and flashing back to stock android will pretty much require unrooting, wiping the SD card, reinstalling TWRP and starting from scratch (as i know how to do it, unless there is anotehr way) where a ROM would not.

Well if you are running a stock ROM right now, you could probably take the latest factory image and just flash the system.img. Or if you want, flash everything but the userdata.img. This will probably update your phone to the latest version without losing data. That's just an assumption though. I would assume that if the ROM you are using is based off of the factory images, it would be the same. You could do a nandroid before doing it.
Ill just wait. The one Im using now is AOSP but pretty much stock. Im fairly sure he had it on the latest image. For some reason I have just been itching to go back to pure stock (as close as possible anyway). No huge deal
I get what your saying about putting the other one on and trying that but honestly if something majorly bugs out and possibly ruins my recovery I wont have any time to try and repair it all.
Thanks man
