someone keeps harassing me over and over on GO SMS.. it doesnt look like its from a number.. its from an email address. i want to call the police and have this person arrested.. how can i find out who it is and get her in trouble?
What types of messages is this person sending you? Unless they are threatening messages (death threats, or other threats of bodily harm), the police will not do much for you except tell you to change your number. If the messages are indeed threatening, you can provide the police with all the messages and see what they can do for you.
Always make sure save/screen capture messages you dont like, if you dont , the police CANT do anything it you

This might help. Look at number 26. I've used it for spamming telephone numbers but not for email (yet...I hope I don't have to).

No i have not heard of anything like that.... you could copy paste in threaded sms view (all into one sms) that may or not be a quicker may to do it.....
you want to send 10 different sms's to the same person at the same time?
why not send one after the other? or just... write a long one.. usually the provider divides the messages according to the agreed length.

dude that i know but lot of friend ask to send suppose i have 10-15 okes/greeting sms to their phone & then i have to again & again forward it -a kind of headache
I'm very sorry but I can't seem to understand what you want.
to send multiple SMS's you can just creates Drafts of the messages you'd like to send and send it again and again to the same person. you can do the same thing for the same message or for different messages.

yep sure pls do inform me via pm also whenever u get like this software
i have seen a software on cheap chineses phones which contain WM5 rom.
i have seen in bus & when i asked him,he refused to answer me.......
Does it exist?
example: use a voice recorder to record a message, then dial a number and be able to play that prerecorded message to a voicemail/answer machine. I tend to stumble alot on my words when i leave live voicemails...very unprofessional ...would be nice if i can record a perfect voicemail and then send it.
Any info would be appreciated thanks!
Or, send voicemails directly without waiting for other party to not answer...

Im not sure about sending voicemails but a smooth way to get to someones voicemail without them answering is
"slydial".
Im not going to post the link im not sure about the forum rules on that but just google it.
the sprint voicemail app can send pre-recorded voicemail messages.
You'd think this would be a built in feature...I have a group of people I need to email on a regular basis, but the only way I can do it in the gmail app is by "Reply All" to a previous email and delete all the old email/subject...
Why in heaven's name can't I easily email multiple people from the app? I can do it online on my laptop...am I missing something here, or is this just a glaring oversight on Google's part?
Really? Nobody knows this?

Oversight.
Best suggestion, as you've already figured out, is save a draft with the contact info.

Ha, that's a very good point that I had forgotten...
Nothing chaps my ass more than little **** like that that's forgotten/omitted.
A year later, and those fools still haven't updated the app so users can send emails to distribution lists they've setup. Jerks.
A working solution
This method was described somewhere on these forums, and it works. I am just repeating what someone else discovered.
Make a new contact, using a name which is meaningful to you.
For the email address, build a list of the emails for everyone in the group, using this pattern:
[email protected]>,<[email protected]>,<[email protected]>,<[email protected]
NOTE the >,< between each contact, but nothing before the first email in the list, and nothing after the final email in the list.
This works around the missing group function.
Download and use ContactGroupU from the Google Play store.
on your computer go to gmail and add those contacts in some group and call it something for example "912dd" and go on the app and in the "To:" Area start typing the name "912dd" and select it when it shows up
Is there some app for android devices where I can see when time person which got my standard sms opened that sms ?
Just like on facebook chat there is exact time when other person sow my messages in chat
Depending on carrier and ROM, you can specify in the SMS settings the delivery of a receipt after the SMS has been opened.

This isn't possible for the messages...
Its possible.in many IM messengers.
They give many features....

I supposed that it is impossible :silly:
I only know that is some sms apps you can see that the sms is arrived on the others phone, but i don' t think it is possible to see if he/she readed the message
The SMS protocol has no way to report when messages have been read, but it does have ways to report when it's sent and received. Unfortunately, the standard makes these optional, not required.
The Android framework supports receipts when SMS messages are sent and received. The SmsMananager lets a program specify independent callbacks for sentIntent "when the message is successfully sent, or failed" and deliveryIntent "when the message is delivered to the recipient". See: developer.android.com/reference/android/telephony/SmsManager.html
But you can't rely on that working in an Android app. The problem is that
The actual SMS transfer code is written by the device manufacturer
SMS message transfer is controlled by the carrier
So, for a delivery receipt to work, it has to be implemented, and implemented consistently, by
The manufacturer of your phone
Your carrier
Your friend's carrier
The manufacturer of your friend's phone
The bottom line is that you're not even guaranteed that a given SMS is going to be delivered, let alone when. If you want receipts you need to use a different app, such as facebook chat.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the default in hangouts to stop an attempted text from going automatically to a Hangout rather than SMS.
For example, my gf has hangouts on her tablet, but not on her iPhone. When I go to click her name from the list, it will automatically default to a hangout. Now she won't ever get the hangout because she never used the nexus tablet. But I can't change it to SMS. Is there a way from hangouts to stop automatically "looking up the contact" and deal directly with SMS until its ready for primetime?

Make sure you send as sms instead of hangout. Like say you have John Smith as a contact. You have both his Google+ name and his phone number, when you create new make sure you hit send SMS to john smith. If you have just phone numbers it automatically goes to SMS

Thanks. I started to learn that myself, but is there a way to stop it from automatically happening? Or should I just get used to this new way of SMS until all androids use hangouts as sms?

It won't automatically happen when you create the SMS message it will always go to the SMS number.
I don't think androids will use hangouts specifically because people like me use different apps, I use textra for example because I absolutely hated trying to send pictures in hangouts. You could only send one, it had to be first and it was just not a good experience for me.
If you start typing the person's name in the search box it should come up with their Hangouts contact as well as their phone number. It just seems to prioritize Hangouts.
