I have read many other posts on this issue, but still haven't found an answer (maybe there isn't one). How can I make a bluetooth microphone route audio to any app waiting for input ?
No matter what I do the Xperia Z's internal mic remains active, unless I am in call or have (only by accident ! ) activated the useless Voice Dialer. The BT devices are a Laser headset and a Plantronics K100 hands-free.Sound is routed to the BT speakers/phones OK.
Can anyone explain why a paired BT mic is only active when in call, but does not accept audio input from any other application?

I want to record my phone conversations when I am using my Bluetooth headset (Because I drive alot).
At the moment it is not possible to record a conversation while using the Bluetooth headset. (I don't want to use a cable headset, because I get in and out the car alot).
The problem that occurs is that when recording with windows mobile it records your own voice, but not the voice on the other side.
I have tried with many other PocketPC's but I can't find anything that works.
Try it yourself if you don't understand whta I mean.
Does anybody have a solution for me?
Thx!
Possibly the problem is that when the headset is enabled the speaker of the phone is disabled.
So if somehow the speaker keeps working even when bluetooth headset is enabled it will record the conversation on the other side.
I want to use Spype on my G Tablet - bought myself a bluetooth headset. I can connect no problem (can even toggle it on and off with the home screen button application) it beeps indicating the connection.
But when I do calls I doesn't use the mic and speaker of the headset. Matter of fact it seems like it messed up with my audio setting because my built-in speakers don't seem to work anymore.
Any thoughts?
Sometimes I have the same issue. If you want speakers back, try disconnecting from the Bluetooth device. If that doesn't fix it, just reboot. I just posted another comment about the impossibility to use a bluetooth headset, not just for output, but for audio input also. I guess this is because there's no HSP or HFP bluetooth profiles implemented on the g tablet, just a2dp, which is why it just can stream audio to an output device, like a bluetooth stereo headset or car audio. BTW, I discovered this when trying to achieve exactly what you tried to do, making calls using Skype.
A thought.....
Some people already are making and receiving calls on their HTC Flyers(GSM).
The built-in mic does not work so users have to use bluetooth or a wired earpiece.
In the build.prop file, users changed the bluetooth stack to this:
ro.bt.profiles = 4270403
service.brcm.bt.ag_supported = 1
What if the bluetooth stack was NOT altered...would that enable the built-in mic to work?
Any thoughts? on this?

Answer to the above question is yes... In fact I was using my bt headset for a couple days not realizing that the internal Mic was being used in phone calls (no wonder most people couldn't hear me...). It says my headset is connected as handsfree for "tablet audio", but headset Mic is not being used... If anyone knows how to fix this let me know, thanks.
I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset which I use with the Nexus 5.
(Almost) every time I make a call, the headset first blips and you can see in the dialer that Bluetooth is chosen for sound output.
But just after dialing, the audio is back at the phone (handset earpiece). So I have to switch to Bluetooth again. Then during calls, sometimes the audio is routed back to the phone again.
It always works when you move it back to the Bluetooth headset again but it is very annoying.
Phone has stock 4.4.2-latest.
Any other threads about this? Bugs @ Google? Couldn't find anything..
I guess it depends on the Bluetooth device you're using. My nokia bluetooth headphones work perfectly where as I face similar problems like you when I'm using it in my car.
Maybe try the app soundabout from the playstore. Seem to work (sometimes) on my N4 when I had phone audio problems.
Easy solution to my problem: Unpaired the headset and paired it again, now it works as expected!
Hello
I’m trying to resolve an issue i have with my Sony MW1 Bluetooth headset when doing Skype or Hangouts calls
For some reason when using a Bluetooth headset (Used a Sony MW1 Smart Wireless Headset Pro, set and a Fiat Blue&Me Car Bluetooth) the sound keeps breaking off both for me and the person I’m calling. I get long brake after witch the sound returns for a while.
I tried LTE/HSPA and WiFi calls all with the same result
When using a wired headset there is no issue like this. nor do I have the issue when i do regular phone calls using the sets
Furthermore sometimes the Bluetooth sound doesn’t turn on at all, so I get no sound neither on the loudspeaker nor on the Bluetooth set although the BT volume is set to max
Any idea how to resolve this?
