I know with ROMs it really comes down to personall opinion.. so what's your personal opinion, go with CM7 or insertCoin, an why did you pick what you picked!

whenever i wanna use sense its insertcoin and CM7 when i dont wanna. i suggest using IC if you dont wanna deal with all these bugs that are present in CM7 because its only an alpha. Im not saying that CM7 isnt usable, but you might not be satisfied with some missing features
Try both, do a backup, you can always come back. I am running cm7.

i was on ARHD and im about to flash IC.. im just too new to try CM7, maybe later.
I stick with IC because baad's releases are generally very stable and he's crazy quick to fix stuff when things aren't working. Plus his rom is as fast as any out there. I do play with the CM7 releases but find myself missing some sense stuff like the camera, keyboard, general ease of customization and proper sizing of wallpaper.
I guess CM7 is supposed to be fast, but I really haven't missed much speed with any of the sense roms tbh. As long as I can play the occasional game and emulate PSX smoothly, I really don't care if sense is running in the background and "hogging up resources".
Can i have a link on both CM7 and IC for 2.3.3 Sensation thanks!

It's all personal preference when it comes down to it. Sense vs. Vanilla. Honestly, I was missing Sense a lot when I switched over to CM7 a few days ago, but the only thing I really miss is the camera, and now I just replaced it with Vignette. If you need the Sense stuff then I'd say go with InsertCoin (I've never used it. I was on ARHD before I went to CM7). I don't really see any of the bugs that people are talking about for CM7 other than not being able to record 1080p without it rebooting on you. One thing I did find though is that my battery meter isn't exact and it's kind of annoying me and I can't figure out how to fix it.
Try both, and do nandroid backups. I'd say a day or two on both and you'll know which one you want.
Depends on your preferences. If you like have all the sense goodies you can flash the IC right now, expecially the new sense3.5 version is really stable and fast, else if you like have an android stock experience with low impact on your device resources and an incredible high responsive system CM7 is the way to go.
This said, i must underline the fact that in CM7 there are some thing that must be tuned up and are sightly less enjoyable and pratical compared to the Sense rom's equivalent sector. EG: the camera in CM7 does really bad when it comes to some shot that goes beyond the typical photo, and the addition of the touch to focus in the last version is not enough to close the gap, and this occurs also in social integration and some other aspect.
Generally i choose a sense rom, but i remove al the bloatware (watch, locations in primis) with TitaniumBackup and i'm just fine. With the last IC i have 190mb of RAM free in idle, and a surprisingly responsive phone, wich is great for me.
PS: i hope my english is good enough, it is some time i don't practice it up now
I am a bit new to all this. Have rooted my sensation. Looking forward using IC roms!

CM7 is basically bug free. If it were any other CM dev it'd be classified as an RC...
What are "all the bugs"?
I alternate alot between incertcoin and cm7 I just can't decide I love them both. It depends on what you like.

Now which ROM between the two, is the way to go for speeds?
And what are the pros and Cons of each of the 2, IN YOUR OPINION!
For speed ? I would say cm7 with out a doubt
Pros about cm7. Nice interface, minimalistic design, fast, snappy ,cm7 theme chooser, Cyanogenmod settings! Close to stock and very light
Cons- still has a few bugs. Dialer ,camera
Bland compared to sense
Ic pros- has Sense , is really smooth and plenty fast for most, camera ,dialer , lockscreen, nice widgets and ui ,keyboard ,might have beats depending on the Rom you get, some other HTC apps. Nice animations and effects.
Cons- its quite heavy so not as snappy as cm7 but insert coin is really smooth.

I've tried both and I can say I prefer IC, But after all it really comes to what features you want from your phone, I really recommend you to try both or even other great roms that are offered on XDA.
I personally prefer Sense 3.5 (Therefor IC) because of the awesome widgets and how they integrate with the system.
If you are looking for speed and speed only my advice is go and flash CM7 right now. But, if you care something about social integration, camera, better ui/animation and a set of truely useful and integrated widgets take some time on the IC and judge if it's fast enough for you
Or you can use boot manager and have the best of both worlds.
I have a 3D, but since the sensation is very similar I could honestly say cm would fly on you guys device. Not trying to be bias but on another note I think that AOSP is more healthier for are phones.

You're probably right, but no one can make me give up my Sense.
I, I love my Sense like a love song, baby. And I keep hittin repeat peat peat peat peat
CM7 is quick, but that's like saying u slept with the uglier chick because she was skinnier.
Praos of CM7 are that it's fast, consistent, and backed with high qual developers with stringent standards.
Cons are that all of these CM7 devs are so Spartan in their barebones approach that the phone is lacking in some areas. Not having a full functioning camera that can record hd vid was a dealbreaker for me. I also found that I missed the Sense keyboard.
I had CM7 on my Sensation for one day. It was very fast, especially the boot time was very short.
The interface is ok, but not as nice as Sense. I love Sense, although it is not that fast, i dont know. As I had several reboots with CM7, I switched so the new Stock with Sense 3.5.
Later, when Lee is back, I will go back to LeeDroid. Had there some random reboots, too. Hopefully he adds Sense 3.5
I currently am running Shnizlon's sense 4 rom and it is fantastic but I recently decided to possibly try out other Rom's as well. CM9 is a rom I always see coming up as a topic in reading these posts. What are the advantages or disadvantages in using CM9? Do you think sense 4 is better? All opinions are welcome!!!
Also, I have the 3.32 firmware radio upgrade currently on my sensation. If I choose to switch over to CM9, would I need to do anything specificto switch over to it or can I just flash the rom in recovery mode like any other rom?
Thanks in advance.
I'm a CM guy. I like it because of it's stock Android roots, along with a large amount of customization settings. It's light on resources but big on performance.
Potential downsides are that it's not based on hTC's software, so none of their proprietary stuff (I view this as a plus, but others may not, my brother included).
Thanks for the feedback Rusty.

depends on whether you like sense or stock. i prefer stock, a lot of people like the aesthetic of sense. totally up to you
also cm9 is still under pretty heavy development, i don't know if it's as stable as something based on any of the htc ruu's
there's a post somewhere around here that lists many of the popular sensation roms on this forum. differences basically boil down to sense3.6/4 vs aosp-ness
i'm currently using VI 4.0.2 (and am enjoying it) but also used kristof's hypersensation (which i loved, but i was really anxious to try ics).
CM9 is really stable, battery is good, but it does vary.
It has been my daily since camera was working and that's about a month or two
Have either of you tried the new sense 4 layout ??? It's pretty fantastic and snappy not to mention simple yet beautiful. I highly recommend it. Vanilla android is cool, nothing against it. Just trying to weigh the pros and cons. Guess I'll just have to give it a test run.

I was like 8 weeks on Insertcoin Sense 3.6 ROM, then I switched to the InsertCoin Sense 4.0 ROM (wasn't called CoinDroid at that time), and after 2 weeks I switched back to Sense 3.6 again, cause Sense 4 was a bit buggy and not always as smooth as it should be.
After about 2 weeks I wanted changes - and tried AOKP (thanks to Bluewall, otherwise I wouldn't even try it)... It's awesome!
Okay Cyanogenmod is also a very nice ROM, but it hasn't as much Tweaks as AOKP...
Right now I'm thinking about to switch to CM9 again because it has some new nice fixes inside...
My first Android Phone was the HTC Legend, but Sense wasn't really that nice on it... So I switched over to CM6, later CM7 and loved it.
I'm still in love with Cyanogenmod
The first impression counts...
After having sense 3 days, i immediatly looked for antoher kind of ROM.
Indeed, sense is good looking but full of little bugs and so slow.... (even if our developpers are making amazing work about that on sense based ROMS)
CM9 based ROMS bring you a minimalist view (compared to sense) but so much more efficient, with a lot of little customisable settings (for grid of screen, locked to 4x4 for sense, up to 5x6 for CM9's launcher)
To be short : CM9 bring you a stable a fast ROM, with minimalist icon/theme, with a lot of little addon (customize color of text, edit toggles, dock item (1 or 3 or 5) etc...)
CM9 does have a few issues that are annoying but it is mostly stable. My biggest issue with it is the volume sometimes get really low and you have to restart it to fix it.
If you want an alternative to Coindroid and CM9, try HyperNonSense 2.5. Its fast and very stable. Based on Sense but with most of it removed which makes it fast and looks like Cm9.
You know, it's not very polite to compare ROMs
But if you comparing vanilla Android to Sense - there is many different points you should cover - some cases vanilla is way better, some cases Sense is just awesome.
For short - vanilla Android ROMs have just much more customizations and Sense gives much prettier (if you like sense style) and easier to use widgets and other apps.
I was using Sense 3.6 (4.0 had too many bugs then) for few months and I loved it! But when I tried vanilla ROM (AOKP build 31 to be precise) I fell in love one more time! This ROM is so minimalistic, fast and smooth no lag whatsoever (which I was facing in Sense ROMS). But after few months of usage I'm missing few things from Sense:
Sense Clock is very easy to use and maybe prettiest widget.
Friend Stream (and fb contacts sync) is very usefull and I haven't found apps doing that well.
Calendar widget - month view on homescreen is awesome.
So now I want Sense Clock and Sense Friend Stream but with minimalistic (Vanilla) Contacts, Phone, Messaging apps :/
P.S. If anyone wanna compare my homescreens on Sense 3.6 and AOKP ROM -

Thank you for your feedback. I wouldn't necessarily say I was comparing them saying one was better than another. I was simply asking what are some of the advantages of vanilla over sense since I am very new to this. Nonetheless I appreciate your input greatly.

I have always wanted to try other roms and I did, quite a few of them actually. People kept telling me how much they hated Sense and in a way I get them, but on the other hand, sense has some great apps and widgets, which actaully brings me to my question.
Is there a Desensed rom with the sense widgets still existing, or maybe even an AOSP rom ?
I know it sounds like a stupid question, but sometimes I just wish I could have CM and my sense calendar or dialer.
Sense bogs the phones resources.....even if it is snappy, it could be better, and that is AOSP.
For me I'm using sense until a bug free version of AOSP is available...
- Bluetooth
- audio routing
- etc.
i switched from sense to infamous to opensensation and i will stay with opensensation. i love the speed and the feel of cm9. with the sense rom i always had annoying little lags and it didnt felt smooth.
cm9 isnt perfect, like the others mentioned before, but its worth to give it a try.
i can live with the "bugs" and enjoy the smoothness

Man don't take it bad but you're talking about a stock rooted rom and a senseless one.
This thread is about a Sense 4.0 and an AOSP...
I like much more CM9, farm more customizable.
Sense 4.0 right now doesn't suit me... Battery drains a lot compared to Sense 3.6 and much work still has to be done to make it equal smooth compared to a good Sense 3.6
Sense 4 vs. CM9? AOKP WINS XD
more stock felling, lighter, faster, I think is more stable, too...
i was a coindroid user, but in games it was not good, still laggy at 1.7 ghz...
now on aokp with nova launcher at 1.2 I play games perfectly and the UI is ****in' smooth...flash it, you won't regret
I love aosp but im a flashaholic so it gets boring really fast i like fancy animations and such but i prefer aosp looks and feels ...
Sent From My Sexy Sensation.
CM is not lightweight by any stretch of the imagination.
It does lag as much as sense do. If not more.
CM phone book is ****e. Which is the biggest downside for me. A PHONE's PHONE book should be the most important thing in a PHONE.
On the other hand I love CM because MIUI is based on CM
There is no 'CM' phonebook, it's AOSP, so blame Google if you don't like it.
That said, I'm not finding it laggy.
People are always posting up new threads asking for advice on this ROM vs. that ROM. Well, I haven't tried them all, but I've tried quite a few of the more popular ones recently. I'm not going to pick these ROMS apart. If you want more info about what I liked or didn't like about a particular ROM I've tried, go ahead and ask.
I got my Sensation back in January. I used the stock Gingerbread for a couple of months. Then got frustrated when the T-Mobile ICS update got delayed and have been on a flashing frenzy ever since.
I've been trying a lot of ROMs lately. I started with ARHD, then went to Elegancia, then Hypernonsense, then back to Elegancia, then Sense 4 Elegancia, then back to 3.6, then Virtuous Inquisition, then Opensensation (CM9), and back to Elegancia again. I've also tried Sebastion, faux, and bricked kernels - I prefer bricked best.
I honestly don't a see a performance difference between Sense, stripped Sense, or AOSP ROMs. I have System Tuner Pro and always monitor memory usage. I thought that the stripped and AOSP ROMs would have gobs of free memory available, but they just don't. They're no better or worse. I also was compelled to try those ROMs to improve battery life. Again, the experience didn't match the hype.
It all comes down to personal preference. Each ROM has its own glitches. But from my experience, full Sense 3.6 ROMs are the most functional and most stable. I loved the Sense 4.0 ROM I tried, except that Sense crashed on me like 3 times a day having to pull the battery each time. For me, nothing beats the Sense widgets. I live in the email and calendar widgets for work and the music widget in the car. No other widgets come close.
I think I'm gonna quit screwing around with it for a while. I am very happy with the Elegancia Sense 3.6 ROM / Bricked kernal combo. It's pretty much already modded/themed the I way I would do it. I can just flash it and go. I will try the Sense 4.0 version again when it's more mature. I loved it, I just can't have my phone crashing on me constantly.
I still want to try MIUI and will probably try CM9 again when it's official. I really like some of the home screen setups people have been able to pull off with their AOSP ROMs. But I think the widgets will always pull me back to a full Sense ROM. The only widgets that can compete, you have to pay for - and they're still not as good. Also, the AOSP camera blows compared to the Sense camera. In the end, it's all about what's functional for you.
In conclusion, try a few, try a bunch... don't get lost in the hunt for better battery life and more performance, because - 1) those 2 things don't go together... & 2) those 2 things are largely the same across all ROMS whether you're full Sense, stripped-Sense, or AOSP. Just find what you like and enjoy!
SO wutZ da best roms to use?
Just joking, but it's too bad some people are serious.
Its all about your liking that's it otherwise there is not a rom whit better battery life than any others

I've been using Ordroid (Sense4) for a week or so now and I've found it quiet stable to be honest. I haven't experienced any crashes.
The batterylife was in 5.0.X about 17 hours (2 hours of screen turned on).
V6.0.0; I can't say if there are anything wrong just yet since its been out for about 2 days only and I've used it for 1 day. but the first batterycycle was about 21 hours with 2h 5m screen turned on. Only thing I could complain about with Ordroid is the partially working BT, I can't say anything about the Wifi-tethering issue because I am not using it.
Hmm, well I guess that was that.
The partially working Bluetooth issue is across all Sense 4 ROMs. It has to do with the fact that Sense 4 was ported from another device with different BT hardware - so the Sense drivers aren't fully compatible.
With the release of T-Mobile's official RUU, it may be time try Sense 4 again and see if some of the previous issues I experienced are fixed now. But BT will probably always only be partially working due to the driver issue.

Will I get any benefits from switching from the stock ICS to one of these?

I tried Elegancia Sense 4 again last night. I thought it was time to give it another go since there have a few builds released since the last time. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Whatever issues I'm having are buried deeper than what gets changed from build to build.
My phone has crashed on my twice in the last 5 hours. It's unfortunate. I really like Sense 4 - I think it's cleaner & smoother than 3.6. The camera is better and faster than 3.6. But if your phone crashes on you while changing menus or doesn't wake up and you have to pull the battery all the time, then it's useless.
Does anyone else have these issues with Sense 4? Maybe another Sense 4 ROM is better? I have not yet tried another Sense 4 ROM because it seems they all use the same base. Maybe I should try another and see if it works better...
The new InsertCoin ROM Sense 4.0 is out now, looks very stable, only FM Radio not working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546731
I just flashed OrDroid Sense 4. I'll give that one a shot. It has a different base - the new leaked Ville RUU instead of the One S. The Ville and Sensation share the same processor, so maybe that will do the trick.
EDIT: That one's no good for me either. It has its own set of glitches I'm not willing to live with.
Now trying Steve's new TMOUS Elegancia with Bricked kernel.
Any tradeoffs for non Sense ROMs? I know the camera app is better on HTC's but other than that? Is there a Torch app similar to the stock one? Etc..
...and back on Elegancia 3.7.6. lol
I am running the updated TMOUS firmware now, tho. along with the other radio fix for TMOUS users. This might be the best combo I've run yet. But I'm still anxious for a fully functional Sense 4 ROM.

I would say Android Revolution HD 6.7.2 because it is the fastest and most stable stock base Rom I have ever used. Picking a Rom is a personal thing .what's best for me might not be best for your needs.I highly highly recommend you try out SEVERAL different roms for yourself and then make your choice for your daily Rom! That's the fun part! I've probably tried almost all the ics roms available! See what suits you're needs and style! We are lucky to have such wonderful developers to give us many different choices! So instead of asking what's best in others opinions, see what's best in YOUR opinion! Each Rom has a area that tells you what's working and what isn't, they are very up front about that so read that area, decide what you want, try out SEVERAL different ones then make your OWN choice! For me I really like the lightning Rom. However it might not be for you! So have fun and experiment with different things and form your own opinion. Best wishes and I genuinely hope this helps you out. Happy flashing!

Yes, but not everyone has the time to try each and every ROM that comes along. So thanks for your suggestions guys!
Were only saying to give each Rom a shot and form your own opinion. Do it little by liitle if you don't have a lot of time but it is always best to try for yourself and form your own opnion...

the best ROM is the one that comes when you buy your phone, STOCK. But when you want something customized for your needs, you gotta try those available ROM. for me so far, i have Insert Coin for sense 4 in my phone always also the viper 1.1.0 but I'm still testing other ROM. What counts for when it comes to ROM is performance first then the looks. :good:
Enjoy Hunting :highfive:
I'd agree with trying the custom ROMs and work out what fits best. Like a try before you buy session.
REMEMBER, take Nandroid backups at every opportunity so you can revert to a previous ROM easily. That's probably the most important aspect.
Yep, take a few for a spin! I went from awesome Virtuous to awesome Lightning! Happy Flashing!
Communisation
Lighting
I agree there are just too many ROMS to try them all. But there are also way too many threads of this sort. For all those wondering which ROMS are good here are my recommendations-
ARHD or InsertCoin if you want closest to stock Sense 3.6 with preference to ARHD cos its updated more.
Elegancia Sense 3.6 if you want a tweaked version. I adore this ROM. Themed version available.
ViperS ROM if you want an extremely flexible Sense 4.0 experience. Elegancia 4.0 if you want a themed Sense 4.
OpenSensation for AOSP.
BerserkMode if you want Sense parts with AOSP speed and smoothness. It's probably better than Virtuous Inquisition now thanks to updates and improvements.
MIUI if that's your taste. There are about 3 or 4 threads. I'm personally waiting for the AOSP version update.
New Roms that may be worth a try- Lightning, TRAD Sensation (both Sense 4)
ROMS that you absolutely HAVE to cultivate to your own taste (for purists)- the hyper roms. props to Splder for carrying on Kristofs work.
Others- CM10 by Bruce if you're adventurous and don't mind temporarily sactificing your camera.
Personally I'd start with (Elegancia 3.6 Stock/themed is upto you) its amazing.. ViperS and BerserkMode of of course CM9. After that you have a pretty decent experience by which to judge other Roms. Happy Flashing! Hope this helped you and any others with the same question.

Paranoid Android! Hands down!
The ability to put your HTC into tablet mode is wonderful. As is the ability to custom choose the DPI for each individual app on your phone. After using Gmail in tablet mode I never want to go back to the preschool-like interface Gmail uses by default for phones. And with all the themes available for CyanogenMod you can REALLY customize the look and feel of every visual aspect of your phone's UI. I held out for a LONG time, I thought Sense was "pretty" and the way to go. But I've found ROMS based on AOSP/AOKP/CM run circles around Sense performance wise. Sense is a HOG for resources plan and simple. Install Apex launcher in Paranoid Android and it's quite close to perfect. Fast, themeable, visually pleasing, and the ability to take advantage of the fact your Sensation has an HD display.
That said, if you're still a sense holdout, the Viper ROM wipes the table with pretty much all other Sense based ROMS (though Daemon looks a bit promising).
For a STABLE ICS AOKP ROM, I like the EyeCandy ROM. (I boot into this restore when I need to use the camera as camera isn't functioning in JellyBean yet)
*edit*
Unlike a lot of other posters, I pretty much have tried EVERY ROM available for the Sensation. I have a tech addiction!
After a while the Sense 4.0 ROMS all start looking the same, except for the truly innovate ones that stand out from the pack like Viper, Daemon, Lightning, and RMS Blue Sense.
I tried ARHD, but once I found there were Sense 4.0 ROMS for my Sensation, I never looked back, never bothered trying another 3.6 ROM/ Sense 3.6 just seemed outdated to me at that point.
I prefer AOKP-based ROMS to CM as AOKP lets you tweak a heck of a lot more of the UI as well as system performance tweaks.
And I hate MIUI with a passion. Stay far far away from MIUI unless you really enjoy giving yourself a headache.

Okay thanks. Is there one that has everything working?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
You can look in the change logs of the roms and they will tell you EXACTLY what is working and what's not.the developers are very open about that. Each Rom has a area what tells you EXACTLY what is working. So there are no surprises. Most roms have most everything working . They will tell you what's not working on page one. Around the change logs. Always look at that first then you will not have any surprises if something is not working. I really hope this helps you out. So if you find a Rom your interested in just read that area and it will clearly tell you what to expect. Best wishes.

Currently 1.9.5a .. I've used 1.92 as well as 1.4 in the past.
I know a lot of people will probably say arhd because it has been the most popular rom. However, my Sensation kept crashing/randomly turning off with it. The only rom that hasn't caused me too many problems is InsertCoin and OrDroid. I have been using OrDroid for several months now and couldn't be happier. I will probably stick to OrDroid for a while.
Hi guys I thought I'd share my rom experience and ask for general opinions on HTC sensation roms.
I have tried the following:
DarkForest sense 3.6 - Solid rom but not as smooth ARHD.
ARHD 6.8.0 - My current rom - I experience the best gaming performance on this. As far as I can see this is a better and more reliable version of stock. It also has the unique sense stuff - (slow motion camera, useful save SD space interface and the best battery life ect)
JBMIUIv4.1 - This is a very interesting rom that felt really fast and very iOS like. However it lacks an app draw which makes restoring apps from titanium backup a problem.
CM10 - Best rom with Jelly Bean. Awesome rom with a fast buttery interface. However the Trebuchet launcher begins to lag after a while, though swapping to Apex did improve this. Though it was faster than ARHD, games lagged more for some reason - perhaps it is not fully optimised for the sensation.
Ordroid - This was my first sense 4 rom. Also it is the most smooth sense rom I have ever tried. I loved this but unfortunately it is no longer supported so I am forced to move on.
Finally we have ViperS 1.3.5 This is certainly the most advanced of all the roms I have tried and brings a full sense 4 experience to the sensation. However before the sense 4.1 update it was almost unusable with more than 50 or so apps installed. The home screen lagged a lot. Now with the sense 4.1 update this has certainly improved and it is less laggy. I am unable to understand how it is still less responsive than Ordroid Even though Ordroid is supposedly from a less responsive version of sense. Maybe when the jelly bean update is released this will finally change.
So I now ask you guys: Which Sensation rom is your favorite and why? Also does anyone know why ARHD provides better gaming performance than any other rom?
i started from arhd 6.7.2, as it was the easiest custom rom to flash, closest to stock.
then i moved to viperS, 1.0.1 to 1.3.5. sense 4.1 definitely feels smoother, and i had no issue with 1.3.5.
after s-off, I tried paranoid android, it was cool but still experimental at that time, so I settled with hypernonsense and happy with it.
soon after, cyanogenmod 10 fixed the front camera bug, so I tried it (v4.1.2). i love the buttery smooth animations, replaced trebuchet with nova launcher. would have keep on using it as it was stable. alas the mms function is broken in my case.
so i finally return to using hypernonsense 3.5, and so far it has been great! the only thing i miss is theme customization (cyanogenmod theme spoiled me a bit), but the black & white looks good anyway.
i'm not a gamer, so i cant compare gaming performance between those roms. my highest antutu benchmark score is 8060, using vipers 1.3.5 and faux kernel with vsync disabled. on cm10, highest antutu score is around 5500.

Nova Launcher is slightly faster IMO, used both alot.
Even I've switched between roms.. but presently due to some constraints the flashoholic thingy is away.
I'm presently on viper s 1.3.5
Jb miui s89: wonderfully smooth... Butter
(And titanium backup even works without app drawer, as the op says it doesn't)
But Jb has some bugs surely...
Elegance:
1. Pegasus seemed cool with blue kinda stock but after installation the blue color didn't seem so awesome.
N I experienced random restarts after titanium backup restores(I don't know which app particularly created the issue)
2. Blitz: now that would be the best stock 3.6 sense rom I've tried.
I simply loved the camera app in it.
Though it looks almost similar to stock but the color contrasts, vibrancy in color, the dof, the macro photography capturing capability... Everything was superb.
I used it for quite a long time.
(The reason I'm not using it now... I dropped my phone from a height of 15 frets. And the screen started behaving erratically. Response faded, things I didn't click started getting activated.
Firstly I thought it's surely a hardware issue since I dropped the phone, but just random thought, I decided to restore the nandroid of viper s, and it worked like a charm.
I know it seems awkward to say hardware/screen issues vanishing by replacing rom, but that's what happened)
Hyper nonsense:a good smooth rom with minimalistic app but good library supports.
I've even tried other roms, but just mentioned a few.
Now I'm quite bored of the cm 9/10 look(trebuchet, apex n nova)
And even to an extent sense. Hoping some visual change in android soon.

Either the sense 4 or 4.1?
I'm using brouces CM10 and its nice though it has some bugs but its so smooth and he works on it hardly to fix bugs.

Yeah, also Bruce's rom, got me laughing here, too, re: "hardly" typo, should be "hard" or "heartily".
@OP: you could improve your benches when using a different governor, e.g. "lagfree" instead of "badass" etc.
InsertCoin Evolution is a good rom too

Try this one >>>> Smartdroid Berserk 2.3
highly recommended :good:
I tried a few..
ARHD First ROM i flashed. WAS Great after 3.33 was released, things started to act up weird.. I got random reboots, the whole ROM was also laggy in the end. I gave up on it. Was a suberb ROM pre 3.33 release and super stable. This Rom also gave me best batterylife.
CM9 (stable) gave me horrid batterylife. I loved CyanogenRom´s back in the Nexus One / Gingerbread days but since then i have found them not that good..Until i got..
CM10 by Bruce2728.. which i am currently running. Gives me good batterylife, however some wakelocks is still there, but not that big a threat to my battery. Rom is Beta but works great to me on most parts.
Ordroid Best ROM i tried after ARHD. Stable, good batterylife. Good allrounder. How it is now, i dunno. I used it while it was still developed.
JBMIUIv4.1 Nice looking, but really not my thing. i prefer my ROM simple, hasslefree and with minimal 3rd party features. Something this has plenty off.
Tried Virtous as well long ago, but don´t remember how it was.
To me, best Rom right now is Bruce´s CM10.
CM 10
Bruce's CM10 ROM is the best sensation ROM for me. It utilises Jellybean, is so smooth and is near perfect in my opinion. Any small issues are being dealt with, with regular updates.
Also another great thing is that you no longer have to do a full wipe for the updates which is such a great bonus.
CM10
My first ROM was ARHD, then I try whit ViperS 1.3.5, then I past to Dark Forest... Actualy I'm using CM10 is pretty good. =)
My first rom is elegance pegasus with apex pro and I like it a lot better that stock. i will try Bruces's CM10 rom next after reading these helpful posts.
I also use Bruce's CM10 ROM. Minor bugs, nothing which renders the phone unusable. It might enter the nightly phase soon.

I use CM10 by Bruce. It's wonderful, only Wifi signal is low. No further issues.
Bought this phone second hand, was already installed with Elegancia rom. Nice Rom, but I just like CM!
I'm using Bruce's cm10,the rom is nice looking but the scrolling is driving me nuts, how do you guys deal with it?
Hi, I'm new here on the Sensation users, got mine l less then a week ago, still need to s-off but unlocked bootloader and superuser are done. Smart flash allowed me to try some roms thanks for that, so here is me brief experience:
- team venom: very complete and one of the most updated I think, but the load of default configuration almost makes sensation crawl a bit sometimes. Not bad battery life but it's a unforgivefull rom, so it's justified. The most complete sense rom.
- miui jb : I like miui, used it before for a long time on my desire, the JB release is great. Fast, beautiful, highly customizable, no issues. If you're into something different it's a great alternative. You can add a app drawer if you miss it or just organize things with folders .
- JB AOKP: Using it now. Fast, clean, the AOKP customization makes it really something unique experience. Good battery life, good performance. I'm still on a flashing spree though, my opinion can change without notifications lol.
