Oops. Just found that you can't use it to Google search until you register the android device with a Google account, but the GlassSetup fails so don't try it... I'll try to push a fix on Tuesday. Maybe before.

Sorry if this question is idiotic, but is the ROM just that, a black screen with voice options? I would expect a launcher since you said it was based on PA. Apologies, but you didn't include screenshots of a launcher so I'm doing some guessing here.

Somebody has extracted the APK of flipboard from Galaxy S3 which was supposed to be exclusive. Just installed it on my Fire & it works brilliantly!!!!

I KNOW, RIGHT?! I. Cannot. Stop. Looking. At. It.
It's horrible on the iPhone, glad I can get some use out of it now on a bigger, nicer screen. .
Thanks for the link, downloaded it with breakfast. By the way is it only available in portrait mode?
Yes. The tablet UI isn't ready yet. The Flipboard team made the app ready for the SGS2III phone and was planning on releasing it later on for everyone else.
love it.....

This is one of those apps where you slap yourself in the forehead. So simple and such an awesome interface that should have been obvious, but somehow wasn't.
So yeah, I like it. Love the big text, too. I am old fart and don't need my reading glasses with it.
Thanks for the heads up. Just installed it and love it!

And that update worked? It had package parsing errors for me. I wonder if we use TiBU to make it a system app if the updates will work? It may be looking for files in /system instead of /data. And the update link is a dead dropbox link now.

This is easily the most fully featured and accurate ICS Lauchers released for non-ICS versions of Android to date. Very customizable too.
I've only found two issues with it so far
Desktop Vizualizer will not create custom icons
PhotoContact widget does not work
Yeah I found it while digging around xda. Very good and accurate. Only problem is that it seems kind of laggy, at least compared to go launcher.

Agreed. My only gripe about it is not being able to hide the dock. But I like being able to open the notification bar by a simple swipe down anywhere on the screen.

Yeah man, had to let the madness die down or I was gonna get myself banned. Not really much going on anyway, except for the new Bullet rom.....which im dying to try out but gotta have the in-call dialer issue fixed first. Other than that, and the Kexec bypass, pretty quiet on the A2 front :/ I'm a flashaholic so im having withdrawls, gonna get an HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S III here within the next month or two, plenty of dev for them!
via Atrix 2/VictoryROM/XDA app
I am partial to Go launcher myself. Holo is growing on me though. Only things I find wanting are gestures for doc apps (folders are an ok substitute) and ability to scroll vertically in app drawer. It is very snappy and customizable.

Secondly, I love this launcher, again I'm amazed at how similar our tastes are.

I tried really hard to replace Go Launcher with Holo but it's just not happening. Go is faster, more customizable, but the ICS experience is unbeatable with Holo. I know it's still in Beta at the moment so I'll def check back once it sheds the Beta tag.....if I don't already have my SGSIII by then

Hello. I'm sure a lot of you know that I am an app developer. I have a lot of passion for Kindle fire development and I want to help by creating an app that is useful for Kindle fire users...but what. I just don't know what I should make. I need ideas. What do you want to make your experience better on the Kindle? Anyone? Any CRAZY or BOLD ideas are appreciated.
Help me build the launcher that everyone wants. I have the idea, the Photoshop, but very little coding experience. :good:
Volume widgets would be nice. Like + - and a slider.

I might could help you on this. Your launcher idea looks great. The thing is that i still haven't done much open GL yet. In fact i couldnt make a simple shape in openGL because it keeps force closing but once i get better i can hit you up.

Well, whoever wants to help (including you) may do so. I refuse to make it a paid app though, because that's just wrong considering it's based on Amazon's work. Heh.
I'd gladly give back by helping with whatever apps people are creating since I KNOW Android developers lack in that department for the most part. :silly:

Silly question, I've bought an app and since I will be upgrading soon, is that app transferable from one android phone to another? I figured it would be since it was purchased under my gmail account. Just need some clarification. Also, I have to get my post count up so I can post in the dev forums!!

They can also be on multiple devices at once. I have my Thunderbolt as my main phone and also an inactive Incredible that I use on wifi to test neat stuff like CM10 (Jelly Bean is awesome by the way) and i have a lot of the same apps on both of them, particularly Titanium Backup Pro. Google has made it really easy to continue using the stuff you buy...as it should be.

Idk why the creator ever abandoned it. If i knew who he was id give him a nice little donation just for the work thus far. If anyone knows point him this way

And I've browsed that thread before but the links are down. They work from xda's end but the devs links are no more. I scavenged the internet until I came across a torrent for it with only 2 seeds lol. Definitely worth the treasure hunt.
Do you know of they've made anything else for the inspire/desire? Or better yet, how I can get voice working on this one? Like voice control, and voice-to-text messaging? That's the only feature I miss.
Nevermind that last question :foot in mouth: playstore already answered it. Lol. Now to find a lightweight app for that. Thanks again
