Same drill, Install using Odin with out using a .pit file?
Just to clarify, I have never used one. I have heard it will cause problems if you do.
no pit, use heimdall or odin. This one came with the 831 PIT also.......
What i don't get is why Samsung won't host these files & a utility for flashing them onto their own devices...

Did it fail for you too? I'm putting the MD5 file in the PDA using Odin 3 v1.7. I tried 1.81 also but still the same. I downloaded from hotfile. Downloading again from megaupload to see if I get the same thing.
Ive downloaded from 2 places, all fail.

Is it possible that its Odin not reading the PIT? Seems strange it doesn't work.
Edit: not saying that's the problem for the rest of you. Just why we can't use the PIT.

I didn't see a PIT with it. It was only the T959VUVKC1-REV00-ALL-low-CL933594.tar.md5 file.

Guys, this works perfect with Heimdal. ODIN stopped working for me when I brought some kids vibrant back to life.
Just install heimdall, change the .tar.md5 to just .tar, and extract it. then load each of the files in their right places.
First of all thanks to samfirmware. Odin this to get a deodexed stock EG22 with the purple CWM 3.1.0.1, root and Busybox 1.18.4.
If you have the EF10 modem let it downgrade to EF02 before you odin to EG22.
New tar posted with the browser fixed
CWM Browser lagfix can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16410616#post16410616

What so you mean let the EF10 modem downgrade to EF02? Do you mean for us to do it manually or does it do it automatically?
Btw does this include the modem and if so, is it possible there will be an Odin just for the new Modem?
Sorry for all the questions lol

What I mean is if you have the EF10 modem to let it check for an update and install the EF02 modem on its own. What I found in my testing is that when I odined the new version is still gave me the prompt to downgrade from EF10 to EF02 even though I had the EG22 modem. So I let it downgrade to EF02 and did an odin to EG22 again. This time it did not prompt for the upgrade to EF10 or the downgrade to EF02. Maybe it was just a fluke with me but thought I would suggest it for those that might run into it. This does include the modem but you can also grab the modem from here http://forums.acsyndicate.net/ACS/EG22modem.bin.

Have you tried changing the wallpaper and rebooting. I am unable to reproduce this.
anyone knows if the random reboots of the ef02 still happen with this eg22?
Or if the proximity sensor issue is fixed?
Thank you

You flashed the GB kernel. I assume you odin'd k0nane's kernel. That's not for ics. Reflash the ICS tar and read the 'how to root ICS thread'.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Caution:
When you are running ICS on you mobile do not downgrade directly to GB using ODIN, if you flash any GB ROM (Stock/Custom) using ODIN your mobile will be bricked.
Live example is myself i have bricked my mobile by do this.
TO avoid this first you restore previous backup using CWM and then flash what ever you want using ODIN.
Even Unbrick your Galaxy R. 2. Downgrade bootloader to v2.0 guide wont help you, I have followed it but no use I have successively flashed stock rom by using this method but still no luck ..
I've created this thread to help all our users who are running ICS, Sorry I've haven't see that one more thread is there for this if you think its duplicate please ask Justin to delete it..
Thanks! Have you managed to un-brick your machine?
Actually, flashing thru odin is Samsung things and it will increase the counter. So, almost every time, I will customize the ROM to flash thru normal CWM flash zip process. At least, I am just 'copying' files to /system/ and all operations are controlled by the updater-script

Yes Ardatdat. I do the same thing. For all the Stock ROMs which i flash via odin, i used to make CWM package. I used to do that so that always i dont have to depend on my PC. Not for the baseband, But atleast for the PDA and CSC part.

Thx for the info buddy. Like to know once thing. When u tried to downgrade to GB via odin, what was ur ICS system info. Is it rooted.? Deodexed? Rooted Kernel? Because I feel Kernel is the problem here. The Kernel that came with this ICS is not a safest one. Ardatdat can speak more about it.
Thanks mj...

Yes, I would love to, but without the kernel source, I could not do much things. At least, I would not get the kernel src before Samsung provide the official ICS update.
