I got a little problem with Android Studio, it's the path of the setting-files that annoys me.
Android Studio puts two folders directly in my Dropbox folder, .AndroidStudioPreview and .gradle.
I absolutly don't want them there since they're getting synced every time.
The SDK Manager stored his files there as well, however I removed it over the User PATH Variable ANDROID_SDK_HOME.
Does anyone know how to change the settings-path of Android Studio?
Ok, I managed to remove .AndroidStudioPreview, but .gradle is still in there.
No one got an idea?
I already tryed the "GRADLE_USER_HOME" Variable but it didn't worked.
Hi! Same problem here..
Did you find a solution?
Solution for me: stackoverflow.com/questions/21362185/android-studio-creates-files-in-dropbox-folder-dropbox-androidstudiopreview#comment32325193_21362505

Try to delete this folder (firstly make backup). Maybe this work

Hey
So i just got the Blizzard Authenticator from the Android Market, i know it's storing an xml file that has a token and some other information, i was wondering if there is any way i can find out where that file might be?
I want to find the file, because in that way i can sync the key between my computer and phone
Cheers

It would most likely be in /data/data/package name/shared_prefs, where package name is the name of the apk (probably something like com.blizzard.authenticator).
Thanks for your reply, but when i check out the data folder, it's completetly empty
Is there any other way i can trace the file path?
P.S. i'm using a Nexus S with CyanogenMod
Edit: I'm able to find something on the SD Card (/sdcard/Android/data), but there is no file regarding the mobile authenticator
Ok, so i just bought Root Explorer, and the folder is no longer empty cheers, found the files ^^
Hi there,
I was wondering (and searching different boards) if there is no option to copy files from internal/sdcard flash by schedule. I do a titanium and sms backup every sunday and would like zip/rar these folders and copy the saved archives to any folder on my network (a nas, which I have already mounted in my android).
Commandline with the terminal emulator wouldn´t be a problem, but I dont know how to run scripts by schedule.
Edit: If someone knows how to copy these archives to the installed dropbox sync, this would be awesome too!
Thanks!

For scheduled commandlines , google for cron / cronjob.
Well I did a simple script with GScript Lite and copied the dirs to a smb-share which I mounted with mountmanager. Did work pretty well, but then I stumbled up on the DropSpace-App which works exact the way I want to.
Thanks anyway, darken
Hello all,
I am new here and just got my Galaxy S 4g. I am used to creating themes on the iphone and am getting very frustrated with this phone so far. I have rooted my phone, and also downloaded go launcher and a couple widgets. and a couple different file explorers.
Problems I am having is that everyone says the apps and themes are located in the phones data folder. My data folder is always blank with nothing inside. I search for the exact name or location of the apps and it says 0 files. I look at the apps running and details of them tell me they are in the /data folder, but My folder says empty. I even have the show hidden files checked.
Also I am trying to find a way to browse the phones files (not the memory card files) from my computer. I have now read over hundreds of pages of searches and can not find any answers.
Please help me.
the files that you are going to want to find are the framework-res.apk and twframework.apk.
those files are located in the system/framework/
i use android commander to push and pull files cause it is the easiest for me. you will need winrar to unzip the apk's but if you want to edit the .9.png's you will need APK manager to unpack the .9.png's and Ultimate Compiler to recompile after you edit or the png's will stretch wrong and look horrible.
There is a link on the main Android Themes page on XDA that has a wonderful write up in PDF about theming...
ill see what else i can post when i have time later to help you out.
Ok, so my old android phone broke. I used an app called "Keepsafe" on it and had a few important images I need back. Luckily, the app saved onto my SD card so I have access to the encrypted .ksd files. The only way around this (at least that I've found) is to use another phone to install keepsafe, replace its main folder with the old main folder, and then view the files from the phone. I don't have another phone I could use, so I was wondering if this would be possible using an Android VM like Genymotion. I tried doing this myself, but I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated!

try this, download BlueStacks to your pc, this is an adroid emulator, only transfer files to computer, you heve playstore on this emulator, download keepsafe, and convert files to his original extension, good luck
I use a one plus one. I recently updated my cell phone to Cyanogen mod version 12.0-YNG1TAS2I3.
Now I transferred some files into the secure folder of the stock file manager present in the phone from another folder in the phone only. I actually transferred two folders. Now I open the secure storage with a password to see that the folder is not showing. A folder was previously present in it that still shows but the one I moved 12 hours ago is no where to be found. Please I need help with this as it had really important files. Anyone with a good solution is always welcome, thank you.
I've got the exact same problem, did you manage to find the files?
