Hi -- I previously had a HTC Touch and just got the Cruise today. Works fine, but the display color seems like it has a brownish looking tint to it. Hard to explain exactly, but it was first apparent when I powered it up. Compared to the HTC Today screen of my plain Touch, which looks gray -- the Cruise looks 'brownish-gray'. Everything else has this same tint to it as well, not just the Today screen.
Has anyone else experienced this?
hi
I think that we had the same problem, mine is solved here :

Thanks... but no, I've come to the conclusion it isn't a problem, but a 'feature'. It's not just my home screen, but the overall color of everything. I think it is whatever has been used to make the screen 'antiglare'. If I tilt the device and view at an angle, the brownish tint goes away. Anyway, I'm used to it now, and when I look at my HTC Touch, the screen looks as if it now has a blueish tint -- once you get used to one, the other looks off
Hi everyone,
I hope someone could help me...
I have replaced the Digitizer Screen of My Nexus One.
Everything works perfectly fine, but i got one big problem : the colors are way off and the images even look somewhat distorted.
It's kind of a purple hue color now.
Does Someone know which part is related to the color on the screen ? or if the screen is dead?
Thanks ahead of time.

See if the cable is not cut. If it is properly connected and you still have wierdo colors, ur oled (or slcd, depends) is dead.
Hi Guys,
I have recently notice a problem with my screen.
It is a pink/purple tint in the middle of the screen, but it is only visible on dark colours, and especially on the black screen.
Do you know what can be the problem and if that is something that would qualify for RMA?

Well, try turning the screen on for 3-4 hours continuously. Give it a shot and see, if it reverts back to normal. By the way, did you ever send your nexus 5 for a repair ?
Ok, thanks. Will try that. No, I have never repaired it.
i was reading that oneplusone has a yellow tint issue which is partially solved with uv light, leaving it in the sun for a few hours.
Does it look bad under normal apps?
best to rma it, you shouldnt have to do anything as it should be free from defects
It looks the same even while booting up the phone, because the screen is black then. As mentioned before, it's only visible on dark colours, no matter what app I'm in. It's invisible on light colours or whites.
I have the screen on for the past hour but no changes yet. This is really annoying. Will try with the sunlight as well, but already have contacted Google for advice.
Hello guys!
Today, after comparing two galaxy s8 plus I noticed that my display, looks a little bit yellow than white. Just the white color, it's not so white... Not sure how to explain it. On the other galaxy, the white is white, like have to, mine look a little bit "yellowish". On both device display settings are not touched. Do you think I should take it to service? Or is just software issue?

Did you accidently turn in blue filter? There's a toggle for it and I've seen people hit it by mistake.

I didn't touch anything. I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTQr6VwMfBI on youtube. So basically Samsung cant make the same color screen on every device? But how can I fix this? Maybe if move the red option in display settings?
Do you think if the white is not white, this means the rest colors are not shown properly also?
Hey guys
I notice this is more about phones but i thought id try here anyway
I got the samsung tab s6 ( 2nd one replacement) as soon as i turned it on i noticed a blue tint in the white
