Cant download files from browser when i try to download for example music it download a few kb file .htm i have this issues only on stock rom, cm downloading all file well. Could u help me?

I tried to help a guy out with his HD2 and the browser won't let me download a .zip or a .cab. It says these files are not compatible with this device.

i downloaded a file with stock browser but soon when i m trying to download 2nd n 3rd file it fails . it download just a part of that file n say completed <example, that file was 3mb n it only downloaded 233kb n said it's completed> , this makes me feel nt happy as i cant sl files with my xoom. anyone has the same prob?
I have seen this problem also, it seems that the stock browser can't handle redirecting links. It just downloads the redirecting page.
I think something changed after the 2.2 update. I used to be able to download nzb files through the stock browser. Now if i try to download them using stock browser or opera, they download as a .bin file. I went into astro and changed it to .nzb, but it still doesnt work. Is the phone modifying these files so they cant be stored on the phone properly? I was surprised that I couldnt find any discussion of this by searching google. Also, when i tried download a .mp3, the same thing happened.
where i can download the file "dexopt-wrapper"? i can't find it anywhere!
