[Q] Anyone know of a usb extension that will Work?

I ordered one from amazon made by amazon and it charged for like two seconds and never worked again but it works with all my other electronics. I need an extended charger the for the stock one is too short.

If you just want a 6 foot extension , then you can use this USB 3.0 cable between the PS and the smaller transformer cable:

is that one confirmed to ne working because like i said i bought the amazon branded one and its a no go

Think it has to be 3.0 cable for it to work as it requires more connections
return and get a 3.0 cable to see if it works for you. the only reason i could say that it charged is because it could be asleep meaning it charging from pc.

Wrong connection, it should be a female USB, not a Samsung type of port.

Its not the wrong connection, the female micro USB part is where your charger plugs into to give power
And the big female USB is where you plug in flash drives etc...
And what do you mean "not a Samsung type of port"

Haha no worries
I really wish the N4 does supports an actual port for flash drives or any other kind of USB
It really defeats the purpose of having OTG
Good thing I got a portable solar powered external battery to plug into

Believe it only affects the pinout for MHL though, so OTG should work fine. Not 100% sure though since a friend with an S3 ran into issues with an OTG cable I gave him.

I will never understand why LG cheapened out on this OTG stuff...should have been there WITH 5V supplied.

Isn't there a way to make the nexus 4 supply the 5v?

As u made a patched kernel for USB OTG with externel power supply for Nexus 4, is there any patched kernel for LG Optimus G E975 too, i've made my USB OTG Y cable too. Please tell me.

i bought it and checked it its working with frankco kernal with ziddgy otg patch full tested its working....
and i get otg-y cable from there at good condition it will cost nearly below 200rs only...

Just as the question reads. I have been using a note 2 charger for my s4. Is it safe to use or are the voltages different?

its safe to use any oem charger...:good:
just check the output volt.
the s4 charger output volt is 2.0A / 2000mAh...
so just check that coz if its lower then it will take long time to charge phone

The Note 2 and S4 chargers are identical, so yes, it's absolutely safe to use and it will charge in exactly the same amount of time.

Anyones M8 get hot while charging?
I am not using the included charger, am using a blackberry one that used to quick charge my G2.

Well simply try the stock charge included with the phone. Should be simple enough to trouble shoot from there .
So far i've just used the one included and the HTC charger that came with my One X+, neither get my phone any more warm then it would be when charging. Never Hot though...

It's called device temperature..there are several that will tell you the temp of your battery.

Ok. I'm curious what it is. Mine gets warm while charging. Warm enough I may go take it for an exchange.

How many amps is the charger? The higher the amps the more juice it's pushing and hence the higher temps.

Totally different brand but ya, if you have 2 QC 2.0 devices that you need to charge in your car at the same time... I just usually have my note 4 so no need for 2 devices but everyone is different.

I just got a nice tab s that i could use it on. Hmmmmmm
