Hi. Just installed Nova Launcher Prime on my S4. Could some one plz explain the differences of the two widget menus.
Novas built in menu, accessed by long pressing the screen, and the one in the app drawer? The widget thats in the app drawer don't seem to match the one in the long pressing menu?
Thanks.

Hi i am new to android and just started using ADW launcher.
i apologize in advance if this is a dumb question but i have tried searching to no avail.
I just installed ADW launcher on my htc evo and is working great. However i have a question. Is there anyway to put the app drawer into the dock? It seems redundant to have the dock and then the separate thing for the lab/rab and app drawer. I am just trying to minimize the number of screen taps/flicks and would love to be able to launch the app drawer from the dock rather than having the swipe up/down to go from the dock to the app drawer etc
thanks again

Two Options...
1. Don't use the dock bar (close it in settings)
2. Don't open the dock bar before trying to open the app drawer
You could also bind it to a button or a gesture in adw setting > system settings.
To start: if this is already possible sorry.
I was wondering what you guys think of a home app that has two or more home "apps". I was thinking similar to the HTC sense "profiles" so that I could have one home for work and one for home with different Widgets etc.
If this would be hard to make how can I change the display name for ADW in the select home app screen?
Thank you for the help/ideas.
Just have ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro installed. Have each one configured how you'd like and then use Home Switcher from the Market to switch between them.
I have home switcher....not really user friendly IMO as I would prefer not having to open the app.....if it could do time based defaults it would be ok I guess.
So not a popular idea....ok how do I change the names of apps in the "complete action using" pop-up? Is it possible?
Hi guys,
Yesterday I was trying some launchers because I'm bored with Sense's one.
I tryied launcher pro and it was a very good launcher but it had something I don't like.
Let's say I'm in the home screen. I go to the menu and I tap to open for example Gallery app. If I hit back, with the launcher pro it sends me to the home screen (just like if I hit home button) BUT the Sense's launcher goes really back -> to the previous screen which is the menu.
Can I make something for the LauncherPro to work like Sense on this situation?
Thanks a lot guys.

I just checked my settings, there's lots of options and I didn't check them all but it looks like you could at least set the home button to open/close the app drawer in preferences>behavior. That might be a solution.

As I said ... I just want when running LauncherPro the 'back' button to have the same behavior as when running Sense.

Just tested on my phone and it takes me back to the screen I was on. I couldn't find anything in the settings though, so I'm not sure why your's is doing this.
Sorry!

You launched an app from the menu? Then you hitted the back button and taked you to the previous screen (not homescreen) at menu?
Strange thing. My brother's Zte Blade does the same with my phone...

I think OP is talking about opening an app from the app drawer right?
Unfortunately launcherpro doesn't allow the app drawer to be opened in the background, so pressing back will just put you back to home screen.
I think most other launchers do the same thing. You can try other launchers like ADW launcher, Zeam Launcher and Go Launcher. See if any of them has more App Drawer options for you..

Yes... that's I'm talking about. Back to the app drawer.
Tested ADW, does the same.... that's awful.
Does anyone know of an app that can launch your app drawer?
Ive tried Desktop Visualizer, but it doesnt give me the option to launch the app drawer. i can only do it using the rosie.
I wanted to know if i could basically create an icon on a home screen to launch the drawer so i could use a completely hidden rosie.

Launcher pro or adw launcher can do this.

Yup! Just long press and add a "Launcher Action"... They will let you customise the icon as well
I prefer ADWLauncher EX the paid version

where do i long press? im using LPP and desktop visualizer but i still cant figure out how to use an icon to launch the app drawer
On an empty space on one of your home screens... as it you would add a widget or a shortcut.
Works fine on ADW Launcher Pro.

still no luck. i dont see where LPP or DV gives me the option to add a 'launcher action'
when i long press the homescreen, i get the standard Shortcuts, Widgets, LPP Widgets, Folders, and Wallpapers
where do i go from here?

Launcher actions are shortcuts I think.

I assume you need the ADW launcher for the extra options.

In adw just press and hold the launcher icon on the bottom bar and drag it up to the screen

If you have LPP or ADW you don't need DV...
I think LauncherPro you would: long press home screen / add shortcut / actions / launcherPro / LauncherPro (app list in small type)
Hope that helps.
Though it is not really the "App drawer" its just a list... ADW actually gives you far more customisable options. Try the free one first if you like

In Launcher Pro, keep your finger down on one of the mi ddle buttons on each dock. It will say Edit dock shortcut.
goto change shortcut --> App Drawer.
Done

Sorry, ignore me, I see what you're trying to do. I'm not sure LP can do this. I can;t see an activity which replicates opening the app drawer. You might ask the developer. He's pretty good at responding.
I have your answer.
Adw.
Search settings for hide bottom dock.
Search settings. Use swipe up gesture for app drawer.
Done
I think I'm having the same problem here.
I was trying to launch the app drawer from the homescreen, not from the dock, but LPP doesn't have that option or perhaps I just don't know how to do it?
Using DV also doesn't help.
Any ideas?
Hi all,
I would love the ability to be able to add a simple "All Apps" icon in the center of the dock like the old GEL launcher had. I know that Nova and Action Launcher can do this, but I like the barebones aspect of the Pixel launcher and would like to continue using that. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know there used to be an application in the play store that would add this shortcut to the pixel launcher last year, but that app appears to have disappeared. (I know there are some third party app launchers in the play store, but none of them are blazingly fast)
Only with launcher, sry mate

Best workaround I could find, which is not really perfect but hey see screenshot
Download Nova launcher but don't set it as default. On pixel launcher, add a widget -> Nova action -> app drawer
You may have some few times you come back through Nova homepage this way when pressing home. Give it a try your self.
If I have some time I could see if there's a better way to do it by properly calling the app drawer..
So -- you can make Nova as bare bones as you want to. Any particular reason why you don't want to use Nova, configured to look and feel just like the Pixel launcher? It seems like the best option for what you want.
I know it doesn't replace a button, but tapping the arrow above the dock takes you to app drawer. How do you feel about this?
